I've only recently started watching this on the recommendation of my DCs. Oh my, it's hilarious! :o

Actually, I don't always get the Star trek/Star Wars jokes. Never watched either.

The tiara bit was the best ever, I laughed so hard I hurt!

It's v good, I love it. I don't get the star trek stuff either, I still love it.

Greythorne I prefer the 'clever girl' Leslie Winkle. She gets the best lines, definitely. On the subject of Penny, I saw the episode in which Sheldon had his 'imaginary crap' stolen, and Penny had the best lines in that. And she got to kick a nerd in the plums. :o

I love BBT and have the periodic table shower curtain. Me and DH have science based degrees so we get all the jokes.

do you seriously think there are people who don't get the "science" jokes?

I want to know how they all keep a straight face in some of the scenes. .
Like the one where they try to teach Sheldon to drive (sorry can't do YouTube links)

Idont think the way the women (with the exception of Howard's mother) is actually that bad and has improved as its gone on. Penny and Bernadette seem more rounded people.

A colleague and I regularly sing soft kitty to each other if having a bad day. . And if knocking have to do so 3x3.

Still can't remember all the rules of rock/ paper/scissors/ Lizard/Spock though.

Oh th driving one was hilarious. When they build a simulator & he crashed.

And the first date with AFF.

Dh has the rock/paper/scissors/lizard/Spock t-shirt.

Greythorne- Bernadotte is pretty and is a phd in microbiology. Leslie winkle isn't plain, she's quirky but attractive. And there is that attractive red head who wrote a book, the one Leonard sleeps with. Penny is gorgeous of course but she isn't thick - just has emotional and social graces that the boys don't have. I don't think it's unfeminist.

Dh thinks it's highly hilarious to offer me a chocolate when I make dinner or offer him a cup of tea!

Sometimes he just ramdomly says, 'chocolate?' Oh how I laugh!

And when my friend comes over she does 3knocks ladyB, 3 knocks LadyB, 3 knocks LadyB. And she never says sex anymore, it's always coitus (?sp)

Greythorne Can't understand the comment about Penny being stupid! Nooooo, she's smart, just not highly educated. And she has different values so she doesn't necessarily see a reason to follow what the others do to a high degree. Do you honestly think Bernadette and Amy would be such good friends with her if she was stupid?

My current favourite moment is v. recent - people forget what an excellent actor Simon Helberg is, as Howard is just always there in the background, but I nearly wet myself and was crying with laughter last week at his Skype scene with Bernadette.

i think the girls are slowly taking over from the boys for most laughs for me, Amys adoration for Penny is brilliant.
