Just watched part 2 of Homeland shown on Channel 4 last night.

Fantastic drama with an excellent script, superb acting and lots of twists and turns.

Has he been brainwashed????

Something has to happen whilst Carrie is out of action, I reckon.

homebythesea · 23/04/2012 07:24

So was anyone else baffled by the fact that the wife knows about Brodys fling with Carrie? HOW did she know?? And the fact that she knew means that someone must have been following her /them. There has been no indication that Mrs Brody has had contact with anyone "official" except Mike. This is bothering me way too much Blush

cocolepew · 23/04/2012 08:20

I think she guessed because Carrie came to the house that time and she caught them talking on the lawn. It was just after he went away for the weekend and Carrie looked guilty when she came out.

Maybe his wife is a mole!!

If Carrie's in hospital what is she going to do about her medication?

I think David Estes is the mole, I think that's why he was so keen to have Carrie watched.

mumdebump · 23/04/2012 10:21

Last nights episode was brilliant! Does anyone know how many more episodes in this series? They had better resolve everything - I'm not accepting another Lost (though I probably would watch series 2 even if they don't resolve it all as Claire Danes is just so damn good in this.)

mumdebump · 23/04/2012 10:23

Homebythesea I wondered how the wife knew too and though she must just have put 2 and 2 together.

thank you Thanks

I think Estes is the mole.
He had the opportunity to pass the razorblade to the guard - or at least he was the one who granted Brody permission to see that guard.
He was the one who put Carrie in charge of the Tom Walker business and put her in the position where she was nearly blown up - it seemed that she was surprised saul was not out on that mission. He maybe has lingering resentfulness against her re his ruined marriage. Not to mention her terrier like investigation of the whole case.
Who would have wanted the Saudi ambassador blown up though?

Oh that was exciting Shock

I can't even begin to formulate who might be the mole. Or perhaps it's all of them.

Bue · 23/04/2012 19:03

Right, how many very important informers/innocent civilians has the CIA managed to kill by this point? They're totally incompetent!

Is the VP the mole?? Confused OK obviously not. But does it have to be someone within the CIA? Saul said it would be someone within "the US government". Would there be anyone outside the CIA who would be privy to everything they're up to?

I think the obvious choices are just too, well... obvious.

difficultpickle · 23/04/2012 20:11

I wonder if it is someone we haven't seen much of so far but is on the periphery? Someone we wouldn't necessarily notice.

iloveACK · 23/04/2012 20:38

I was thinking last night, Lulebellarama, that Carrie was the only common link with everything & therefore she was the mole Blush

Not sure about Estes & Carrie's partner too, although he wasn't in it last night!

BrightnessFalls · 23/04/2012 21:28

Last nights didnt really grab me, to be honest. Im wondering if its even got a second series in it Sad

difficultpickle · 23/04/2012 21:32

Last night's episode was a lot of staging/setting up for future episodes imho.

HalleLouja · 27/04/2012 11:44

I fancy DL less as the series goes on. Still great though. I will love Saul even if he is the mole. Maybe Carrie's sister will come in and give her the medication?

daffodilly2 · 27/04/2012 19:28

watched them all now. Won't give it away but it's great right to the end.

Find Carrie's medical problem interesting.

Mole, methought Saul at one point too.

BrightnessFalls · 27/04/2012 21:53

Oh, is there really only two left?

changeforthebetter · 28/04/2012 08:14

Two left?! Shock - actually 3 for me as haven't seen last Sunday's yet as life if too bastarding overloaded at the moment. I love Homeland. Daren't read anymore of the thread for fear there be spoilers in dem dere posts Grin

Carrotcakeisace · 28/04/2012 16:03

Ok so missed this on Sunday (grr at too much work) but have caught up now and wow I wasn't expecting that Shock

Still don't know who the mole is, definitely isn't Saul because he is too married to his work; really can't see that it's Carrie so have come to the conclusion that it must be Estes or the state Dept guy but think that will be a bit disappointing as he's only a minor player in the unfolding drama.
Am v confused about the Brody senate thing, is he still working for Abu Nazir or not??? Loved the scene on the basketball court with Mike, even though it was obvious he was playing him a bit and poor Carrie, Claire Danes is such a good actress, you could feel Carrie's pain when Brody left

Can't believe there are only 2 episodes left

difficultpickle · 29/04/2012 21:18

Anyone watching? Whose the man with the bomb?

BrightnessFalls · 29/04/2012 21:23

Tonights is supposed to be edge of your seat stuff. I think I will come back later.

whydoesitalwaysrainonme · 29/04/2012 21:23

I'm watching. Something is going to happen to Brody's daughter I think because she didn't want to go on the trip but then did.
