Oooooooh I'm watching ER on sky Atlantic and its the episode where Curtis Ames kidnaps luka and puts his hand in the vice!

I love ER but Lordy it knows how to ratchet up the tension, I know what happens and I cant watch without something to distract me because the tension is too much! It doesn't help that I ADORE luka. And abbey actually. And Sam. But mostly luka

Did anyone else notice in the finale that it was the only time they'd ever shown a long shot of the whole hospital?

God, it got dire in the last few seasons. But the final few episodes were great; nice to know, when you've rewatched them all, that it wasn't just nostalgia talking when you remembered the early days as the best.

No George Clooney no ER!

Mark Green! Shock

Morgenstern to Greene in the very first ep - 'You set the tone, Mark. You get the unit through this'. That's the first use of this, then, then Greene to Carter years later, then Carter to Morris again. Lovely. Smile

Four months later and I'm just as hooked on the characters in the beginning as at the end Grin if anything I think the writing is better

Doug Ross is just so beautiful. I luff him. I would not have missed the paramedic if I were Carole, heck no. I am also surprised at how young Elizabeth Corday is, and cute and playful Smile

I've also been drawing comparisons between Juliana marguiles (sp?) in the make up ad at the moment and on ER. She's still beautiful.

I've spent the afternoon looking for this tumblr post with "you set the tone" gifs that I found when I was watching it last.

I might have to start watching it again, where is it up to now?

TwllBach · 14/06/2012 21:44

It's season four now, episode 13. Doug Ross has just proposed to Carole and she kissed someone else!

Oooh, I don't know if I can watch Mark die again I still have the Hawaii episode saved in my Sky+ Blush Maybe I'll give it a couple more months to get past that. :(

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 14/06/2012 22:46

Ooh, I was just thinking about starting a thread to see if anyone else was watching it again!

I didn't watch it from the start originally, but we have got beyond where I started now (my first ever episode was the Ewan Macregor holding up the shop with Carole in it). It all makes so much more sense now having watched it from the start. However knowing all the future storylines makes it a bit less gripping.

They all look so young! I've been enjoying comparing JM as Carole with her character in The Good Wife, both great female characters but very different. I struggle with the curly / straight hair transformation. Think I prefer the curls, but straight suits Alicia. I could look at her all day, she is so beautiful. As is Doug. What a couple.

TwllBach · 15/06/2012 14:12

Doug Ross is unbelievable. I know George clooney is beautiful, but as doug I feel he transcends it. It's the kid thing, I'm a sucker for a man that loves kids.

I've never watched the first seasons and didn't think I would like them as much, but I've really enjoyed seeing carter as a newbie and can understand more of his character in the later seasons now. I can also see why dr Corday and mark green get together as well, because he is still in such a dark place and she is all bubbly and pure

I'm watching Dr Carter transform in to a grown up doctor Grin the episode where there is a benzine spill in the ER and he has to take charge and It Is Amazing.

I'm about 4 behind, just seen the one where Benton heals the blond man. I agree about Carter, he suddenly seems so much more mature, when his student Henry was desperate to intubate someone it only felt like 5 mins since Carter was doing the same thing.

TwllBach · 19/08/2012 17:28

Is anyone still watching it? I've just snivelled and snotted my way through Lucy dying.

Oh it's just so sad
