what did I do? [innocent emocion, but hurredly thinking of all sorts LUP could be referring to, but still hoping for a mistaken identity case] and you'll never prove it.Grin

no, bloody Aliona I'm afraid. Love her style as a pretty punk but it doesn't carry all before it.

LetUsPrey · 29/10/2011 20:36

Yes, Fiderer, Bloody Bloody Bloody Aliona.

Pan · 29/10/2011 20:46

I think Holly's dance/story was the bestest minute and a half of pleasure so far. and her eye make up was worth an extra point alone.

Felt very sorry for Chelsee - she needs a lot of support and obviously felt she didn't have it. Why does Nancy stomp around like that - cos she never walks anyway, just takes cabs? But at the same time I dont' like the way the judges and (in particular) Anton, think it's ok to criticise her. No one liked it last week when Alex was criticised but with Nancy it's as if it's open house. Not that it seems to bother her.

Whoever made the point about Jason and I'm a Celebrity - I agree, on that show (not so long ago) he won because he seemed easy going and relaxed. Here he just seems boring and over-analytical. Still really thrilled for Christina to get a 10!

TheHumancatapult · 29/10/2011 21:06

Maybe I'm a celebrity he was just able to relax be himself but imagine must be stressful learning new dance in a week .looks down at own 2 left feet

ScatterChasse · 29/10/2011 21:11

Did I completely miss her wardrobe malfunction? I felt sorry for her at the end, but didn't know anything had actually gone wrong, unlike Lilia and Darren's samba. Mind you, I suppose Chelsee has a little bit more in the chesticles department to worry about though.

I loved the Addam's Family dance at the beginning.

2BoysTooLoud · 29/10/2011 21:13

Was Alesha hugging a duffle coat? - odd look I thought!

Biscuitsandtea · 29/10/2011 21:14

DH and I were just discussing and wondered how old Chelsee is? And Harry?

Felt sorry for wee Chelsee though - bless her Sad

ScatterChasse · 29/10/2011 21:17

Chelsee is 23 and Harry is 25 according to wikipedia.

Yes, Alesha's dress was a little bit odd.

Biscuitsandtea · 29/10/2011 21:20

Thank you Smile

We wondered about Alesha's duffle coat dress thing... We thought maybe shed had a dress malfunction too and had to take her coat off the back of her chair....

Biscuitsandtea · 29/10/2011 21:21

she'd not shed Blush

Fiderer · 29/10/2011 21:21

Alesha had a blanket stapled to her chest. Perhaps the studio is draughty?

WhoIsThatMaskedWoman · 29/10/2011 21:23

Gosh, is Chelsee 23? I like her, but from the way she behaves I'd have thought she was a baby like Louisa (awww, I loved Louisa).

Biscuitsandtea · 29/10/2011 21:24

How old was Louisa? I loved her too Smile

Skillbo · 29/10/2011 21:26

Just got DD down (hoping the extra hour means she'll not notice the extra hour in bed and give us all a lie in??) sooooo:

BEST - Holly & Artem were just soooo beautiful.. really different from everyone else and yet they totally pulled it off. It was really lovely seeing ballroom danced with the ladies legs out and just thought she looked amazing! Have to say the life which went on forever was just gorgeous!

WORST - Could only be Nancy & Anton ALTHOUGH I despised Harry & Aliona's routine as there was naff all tango in it - all just pissing around! I was so disappointed and don't understand, when he is THAT good why he doesn't get to show it! Alesha and her 10 was just a joke - was far more on Len's wavelength (but then I've been moaning about lack of actual dancing for weeks, bring back the no-props years! - goodness, I feel old!!)

TO GO - I reckon it's Audley as people might save Nancy.. agree with an earlier poster that I don't understand why it seems like open season on her and it makes me a little uncomfortable. She is awful but I do feel like saying 'leave her alone!!' I haven't liked Audley's dancing for a while which is a shame as I think he's got a gorgeous smile and seems lovely!

I feel I have to stick up for Jason a little as I genuinely don't think he is as dull as he comes across - I think he is more like the jungle Jase. I actually think it's more because he is such a huge fan of the show (has been on Claudia's Friday panel many times!) and is determined to give it his best shot! I remember reading somewhere that when he was riding really high and gripped by his addiction, he really didn't appreciate the breaks he got or the opportunities he had which he just threw away and so now he is far more thankful of life and never does things half arse anymore! I can't imagine how tough the whole thing is (although I think that article by Rory probably shows a little!) and to consistently do well - helped CONSIDERABLY by Kristina - just shows how much he's up for it! Sorry for the rant but he is just lovely and I would love to see him win it... and, breathe [hgrin]

And I must be the only one who actually liked Aliona & Matt's AS - as you can tell, I really don't rate her at all - far too self centred - but did think that was a beautiful routine [hblush]

ScatterChasse · 29/10/2011 21:27

What was Natalie's choreography for tonight channelling? I thought Bill and Ben the Flowerpot Men, but maybe not.

But my main criticism, not counting Bloody Aliona goes to Dave Arch. Why did you take one of the most beautiful oboe solos ever written, and have it played by a flute?

TheHumancatapult · 29/10/2011 21:27

Think she us a young 23 and despite appearing confident and bubbly and loud and at first glance would not seem as someone who be up set by a waldrone malfunction.

.I suspect she is not as confident especially out her comfort zone a
D case of don't judge by what you first see and she probably felt she let her partner down .

I like her more and more each week

TheScareyWail · 29/10/2011 21:27

I knew you guys wouldn't let me down. I fast forward all the speaking usually and stopped where Chelsee had her WM. I honestly thought Alesha had been given a jacket to pass to Chelsee on her way past to keep her modesty. I'm glad it's not just me who thought the dress was odd.

Skillbo · 29/10/2011 21:28

I meant the 'lift' in my comment about Holly & Artem..

Sorry - got a bit fixated on the Donavon [hgrin]

ScatterChasse · 29/10/2011 21:29

Louisa was 17 Biscuits. She was great Smile

TheHumancatapult · 29/10/2011 21:30

I don't like Aliona either may be something to fo with fact I dont think she showed Matt Baker of to his best and is doing the same with Harry

Fiderer · 29/10/2011 21:36

I'd like to see Holly and Artem dance again without that black fluffy thing. It was oddly mesmerising to me as I kept trying to figure out which part of her body it appeared to grow out of and what it was supposed to be. A wing?

CaveMum · 29/10/2011 21:37

Just watching the show back. Poor Chelsee - she was so upset. Bless Robin for giving her something to help her cover herself and feel more secure.

Very poor judgement on the part of wardrobe.

AvengingGerbil · 29/10/2011 21:40

Can someone explain to me how Len can criticise a well-danced routine because he doesn't like the choreography but then go ahead and praise (and mark accordingly) a poorly-danced routine on grounds that it is 'entertaining'? Either he's marking by ballroom/latin standards (in which case the second pair should be marked down for technical incompetence) or for showbiz reasons, (in which case the first pair should also be judged on whether the dance was 'entertaining' and not whether it was really a tango or not).
