No Downton last week as TV box wasnt working. Wasnt to bothered as I knew I could watch the Sundax repeat this weekend. But blasted media box wasnt fixed with a new cable. Cable man cant come until Monday and we are in Switzerland so I cant watch it on ITV.com. Any suggestions? Am really upset.

according to that link further back (cant remember who linked it now) but Anna and Mr Bates end up living in sin - not sure what i make of that (says she who lived in sin herself but that was 90 years later!)

Ethel is Amy Nuttall she was in Emmerdale for a while. I cant be doin with Thomas but in a 'hiss at the tv' type way. Lovin Maggie Smith :)
My FIL insists on calling it Downtown Abbey which makes me smile

Matthew's disturbingly goatish pallid eyes put me right off.

Even if I was a post-war lady with limited prospects and he was a limbless wonder with the sniff of a title I'd still consider a life of cats and sapphic poetry.

He has lost weight though, which is good, but not enough.

Maybe if he wore a blindfold...

They didn't do coloured contacts in 1917, did they?

Surely an illegitimate baby couldn't inherit? But it could if Matthew lingered on with implausible lingering fatal wounds just long enough to legitimise the child (ideally tying the knot just as Lady Mary's waters broke).

I think the cast would be improved by the addition of a Sapphic maiden aunt, her companion and their cats.

I liked Pamuk too.

But like the tulip that is native to Mother Turkey he bloomed gloriously only to fade too soon.
