LOST <boom>. Do you miss it?

Just recently finished watching season 6.

Devastated that there are no more to watch :(

Can we talk about it instead pleae?

mummytime - Do you think Jacob sent that other guy to the Santa Rosa nuthouse then? Cos I thought thats where Hurley got the 'inspiration'?

I LOVE Lost and excuse my geekiness below...

CherryPie3 the incident was caused by the Dhama guys drilling at the Swan hatch and then the hydrogen bomb going off that Juliet caused. And then the button needed to be pushed because of it so the same thing didn't happen again. Also, I think Helen wasn't in the church because Locke found happiness with himself as he was very desperate in his real life and not happy with his life at all. Walt wasn't there also because there is another purpose for him. The Epilogue is a 12 minute video that shows Walt and the reason why he wasn't at the church. I'll see if I can find the video for you online. Oh and Mr Eko was suppose to be there, but he asked for three times the amount of money they offered him so he was cut lol!

outofthefryingpan the hieroglyphicss in the hatch meant "underworld" when translated. Apparently the hieroglyphics in the temple are suppose to be the same as those in the place of the donkey wheel which mean "resurrection".

mummytime I'm guessing Kate wasn't a candidate anymore because it became her job to look after Aaron, bring Claire home and then help her become a mother again.

Ephiny and CherryPie3 the Island was special because of the magic light place as that was the source of life, death and rebirth. Hence why Locke, Rose and Jin were "cured" and why some people who die on there stay as "whispers" if they, for a better word, haven't fulfilled their purpose/met their destiny/fell in love/whatever reason. And it's because of that, that it causes the electromagnetism in certain places. But as for the reason as to why it could move and all the time travelling, it's one of those unanswered questions so people can speculate for many a year as to what the reason was Grin

The Others walked around in bare feet... it was hinted that they knew the island so well and were such experts at tracking that they... Nah, I'm floundering :) I have up on that one too.

I think the Others wanted children generally as they couldn't have any of their own (though I don't think it was ever explained why women mysteriously die in pregnancy on the island), which is why they took Walt initially, but then he turned out to have some psychic powers ('we got more than we bargained for with Walt') though the nature of those powers was never really explored or explained and seemed to just be forgotten about in later series...

The puberty of the actor playing Walt really buggered things up, didn't it? I mean, Matthew Fox can convincingly play 35 at the age of 39 or 42 or whatever, but it's a bit hard to be a 10-year-old when you're 14!

I thought the incident, was when boy ben killed all the dharma people, so the others could 'rule' ho hum maybe it was just a incident as there seemed to be so many.

Of all the back stories we saw, i believe richard/ricardo's was the best, the ghost of his wife on the island

I loved it! I didn't like the ending, I wanted the sideways flash to be real. Also I didn't like that episode with the spiders and diamonds. It didn't seem to link to anything.

I've not found a replacement yet.

The pregnancy thing only happened after the "incident", as the Dharma women before it gave birth no-problem. Although only Ethan was actually born on the island, as they normally went to hospital.

The spiders and diamonds; the two new characters they introduced in that series, can't remember their names... Any how the series was shown in the US in two parts, so they were still shooting the second half as the first half showed, and everyone hated the new characters. So I think the spiders and diamonds was just to get rid of them, although did anyone notice that Miles? dug up the diamonds at the end.

Lostopaedia thinks there was too much electromagnetism for normal pregnancy to happen. Maybe it would have been okay after the end of Lost, when the source had been cleansed?

Charlotte?I thought she was born in England, then went to the island, then returned to England?

Was Miles born on the island maybe? He has talking-to-dead-people powers, and his dad was the Dharma fraud boss.

Jacobs mum gave birth on the island too :)

Yes yes, charlotte, i was thinking that was why she died when the island kept leaping through time, but now you've said that it think it was cause she had been there before.

I believe Ben had said Charlotte was born in England, but then came to the island when she was little. But she's older than Miles, by like 5 or 6 years, which is why she died first, and if they had been stuck going back and forth, I reckon Miles would have been the next to go Shock But I was really pleased they didn't kill him off. I'm often heard quoting his duct tape line from the finale lol.

I loved Lost. I even chose Oahu as a holiday destination when they were filming the last series (didn't see any cast though) and made DH sit through every single episode to date before we went (and he really got into it, even though he hardly watches any TV).

IF you can find it, I recommend a US series that I don't think made it over here called Persons Unknown.

Quite a similar idea to Lost. I was shouting "NOOOOO!!! Don't end it there...." every week. Only 1 series though.

I loved nearly everything that Sawyer said but especially when he called Locke 'Smokey' in the last season Grin. I laughed so hard!!!
