Doctor Who series 6 (split between Spring and Autumn)

What do you think of this? And when does it start? Could you stand the wait over the summer, or is it a godsend?

Right, everyone keep an eye on the Doctor's shoes tomorrow. Real Doctor now has dark tan boots with brown laces. The ganger Doctor must have copied his original black leather boots.
Looks good on the trailer, but I can't watch it for over a week as away camping!

On a rewatch of last week.

Doctor implies they aren't there by accident( having previously tried to dump Rory & Amy for fish & chips)

Doctor has a snow globe ( monastery is there 'for now')

'See which systems' ' you know which ones' did the dr know?

could thiw live plastc be the same with the very first episode where C. Ecleston meets Rose (nesvine? or something like that?). When Amy asks him if he's seen it before he looks at her for a long time and didn't respond.

Also Rory is still plastic, isn't he? Didn't the fake Jennifer say to him "I noticed your eyes", could that mean they're the same and she recognised it?

ooohhh, so many questions, can't wait for tonight's episode....

I just took that as the Daleks saying that their records showed companions of the doctor would always show mercy, and since she was a companion of the doctor, she would too. So she said "Check your records" not meaning that they had any actual records, just saying "LOL, no, I'm River Song. I'm not your ordinary companion." and then it realised she was right in that she could kill it with one shot, so it begged for mercy. She is shown as being really different to the doctor in that sense - while he will talk his way out of trouble and twist things so that either his enemies bring their end upon themselves, or they just go away again, he tries to avoid violence where possible, River's line is more shoot first, ask questions later. She's the opposite of his view and the view that his chosen companions have generally. The doctor specifically says "Shouldn't like that. Kind of do." when she says she is going to kill all of the silence in the chamber thing.

Also I thought it was interesting that her expression in that dalek scene was the same as her expression when she shoots at the spaceman after the doctor dies again. It's like she's saying "You don't kill MY doctor, you bastard."

Did you see Alex Kingston on the Graham Norton show last night? She told a story about being in a play, where she had to kiss someone who insisted on sticking his tongue in her mouth when they kissed (it wasn't supposed to be that sort of kiss), so she warned him that if he did it again, she'd bite his tongue. And he did it again, so she bit his tongue and 'hung on for a bit' I think were her words. Then when she came in the next day, he was just eating soup, because he'd had to have 4 stitches in his tongue! Seemed like a very River Song thing to do Grin

Doesnt make any difference in our house. Every weekend day is Dr Who weekend day

No he isn't plastic any more. He was back to normal after the reset. At the wedding when the doctor comes back you can hear him (Rory) saying in the background "...and I was plastic!" (My emphasis)

Also, the Doctor said that being in the TARDIS had stabilised the gangers from the island, so they were now human - so why didn't Amy's get stabilised? Was it a different type or something? - presumably it was created much later, as the Doctor said he wanted to go back & find out about the early days of the Flesh, so the process may have been different - did that have something to do with why the Doctor thought it was OK/necessary to destroy it?
