I know many slovak and czech roma and they don't 'grab', the boys and girls get to know each other at big family parties. They have parties every weekend and all turn up, play th guitar, sing along.
The families then arrange the weddings when the girls are usually only 16 or 17. Very low divorce rate though.

Not the Roma/Romany I know. A bloke would have to be very very careful about the girls he went after - assault would be treated really seriously. Basically, if you have sex you're treated as married (so you wouldn't want to risk too much).

The dress sense is the similar though.
