Nina hadn't died, if she had her ghost would be in pergatory.

Because she is a WW she heals faster. It all wrapped up a little too quickly for my liking though

upyourdiva · 14/03/2011 10:09

Agree Mamazon, Nina never died or Annie would have seen her ghost passing.

I actually think thgat would have been a better explanation of that, if 'Nina' had been standing next to Annie whilst they rescusitated (sp) her with Annie reminding her of why she needs to go back and all the things she has to live for then the heart monitor starts beeping again

I have decided I think I need 'help', I was walking back from nursery just about crying there at the thought of Mitchell being dead. I think I may have gotten too into his character LOL.

Just goes to show though because for a while I thought they were going to bring back the original Mitchell and just have Aidan leave but oh well. He was not as good but at the same time atleast the character would still be there.

(Can you tell I have never really known anyone who has died? I dread to think what state I'd be in then Hmm)

Mamaz0n · 14/03/2011 10:21

Noooo the "original" Mitchell was played by <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=www.everyeye.it/public/immagini/07072008/c_2274896208_508a242488.jpg&imgrefurl=castingsevenwaters.wordpress.com/2010/06/30/sorrow/&usg=__8BA4W7qEvkvYddqMh7AvU9WTTfE=&h=420&w=300&sz=44&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=XuiI0GQsgSQyMM:&tbnh=138&tbnw=97&ei=eet9Te2oFNSs8QOo3qHLAw&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dguy%2Bflanagan%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26biw%3D1116%26bih%3D470%26tbs%3Disch:10%2C96&um=1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=828&oei=aOt9TbbdJ9KBhQfhvqH1Bg&page=1&ndsp=11&ved=1t:429,r:7,s:0&tx=50&ty=74&biw=1116&bih=470" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Guy Flanagan he really just doesn't cut the mustard now we have been spoilt with Aiden.

there does need to be another Vampire though.
I am looking forward to the Becoming human special next sunday. Maybe they will bring Adam back to live with George and Nina after that.

upyourdiva · 14/03/2011 10:29

That's what I think Mamazon but I don't think he is respected amongst the vampires IYKWIM whereas Mitchell was trusted by them so I don't really get how taht would work.

I did'nt like Guy Flanagan in Being Human, infact I was not going to watch it because he was crap in the pilot (I thought) so was just by fluke I saw the ad when they were starting series one with the, at the time unkown stunning Irishman, Aidan Turner :o

Is becoming Human a special next week? I thought it was just a re-cap of the whole story in one episode on main TV rather than online/red button.

I have been watching it but not really into it as the characters are quite crappy, even Adam who was good in the main show has been pretty dismal IMO.

Mamaz0n · 14/03/2011 10:51

It's a 50 minute special. I think they are going to show the previous episodes in one go with an extra bit on the end.

Squitten · 14/03/2011 11:07

Well, that's that then!

I feel quite mixed about it after all that. It did turn out to be a really good series but it got off to a dodgy start and I think it's success was totally reliant on the phenomenal Herrick and all the fab additions from Robson Green, Lacey Turner and the young guy (Tom). If they hadn't been in it, I think it could have been pretty bad actually.

I think the Annie/Mitchell plot was poor and Russell/Sinead were much more convincing as a couple - poor Annie was really wasted this series. I love looking at Aiden Turner but Mitchell was infuriating this series and I think it's not a bad thing that his character is finished now - they've wrung all they can from the whole dark and brooding thing.

I love the show - best thing the BBC have done in a long time, but I really do think they should put it to bed now. The whole concept was based on the three of them and with one now gone I think to continue will be heading down the wrong lines and really stretching it. It will become like one of those US series that goes on and on forever until it just stops being good. Quit while they're ahead I say.

That said, they will inevitably have another go - will be interesting to see what the special announcement on the blog will be today...

upyourdiva · 14/03/2011 11:15

I reckon I know what it is going to be...

It is going to be a private message from Aidan just for me to let me know that he is a big fan and give me his number if I so wish as he is at my disposal aas and when needed...

Or is that to obvious :o

Mamaz0n · 14/03/2011 11:15

yes i keep refreshing the blog to see what the announcment is too Grin

upyourdiva · 14/03/2011 11:18

The blog posts are normally around 9 so must remember then!

It will be something stupid but I reckon it's a new cast member to replace (:() Mitchell...

5GoMadOnAZ650 · 14/03/2011 11:57

I think it'll be either Adam or Tom (swit Swoo!) becoming a main character. Mitchel is completely dead and gone now and I can't even see them bothering with flash backs really :(

upyourdiva · 14/03/2011 12:04

5- Tom would be nice if he could move his eyebrows as he always looks like he is going to cry even when he is laughing Confused!

Still no match for Aidan... and no can't see him having time to do flashbacks but in a way I hope they don't because if they are to carry on without him then they need to re-build the show in a different way. Obviously he will be mentioned but it would be annoying if they kept bringing him back into it.

As much as it pains me to admit as quite frankly I could watch him all day but it was not just about him I guess.

upyourdiva · 14/03/2011 12:38

Oh well BIG announcement my arse!

They have been signed up for a fourth series...

We kind of guessed that from the blog Hmm

plupedantic · 14/03/2011 13:20

What about Ivan? He wasn't staked, and Daisy is still about, isn't she, and knows how she and Cara got Herrick back (tho' in a rather pitiful state). Herrick was still a bit odd in this episode, not quite "back" yet, if he could get all mushy over a sunrise (ye gods....) Though Nancy's fate has been kept pretty quiet, so she could be a goer, as an anti-vampire?

Perhaps the lovely Tom (by Jingo, that lad is fit - you can keep your skinny, stubbly Mitchell - pfff!) will actually develop some sort of real pack - that would be a brilliant counterweight to the already-aligned werewolf-vampire sides. Robson Green would have been brilliant in this new world, but was also a good sacrifice in this end-of-season catharsis (especially after his past has been revealed; that was quite moving and made him much more interesting). Points he made - such as not having held a pen for years - show the kind of world,he had been in, and the world the characters can expect now; that was rather subtle.

As for the ghosts, Lacey Turner had been so good at being cheerful-menacing, that her "scheming" and her "scared" face were a great disappointment...... Never mind: she can grow up a bit in the next series....

JessinAvalon · 14/03/2011 13:38

I feel like someone has died too. I think I am taking it all a bit too seriously. I have very much enjoyed (understatement) watching the rather
beautiful Aidan every Sunday evening. Where will I get my fix from now?

As for him being skinny...have you not seen the photo of him on the BH facebook group? Those arms?

bettys · 14/03/2011 13:43

McNair told Herrick he killed Daisy. Wish could come back for S4 he was great.

bettys · 14/03/2011 13:45

I think Herrick was really in love with Mitchell and knew he would kill him, which was why he just sat and smiled while he was staked.

pookamoo · 14/03/2011 13:51

McNair killed Daisy - her teeth were on his necklace. He said she put up a bit of a fight...

Ashbury · 14/03/2011 14:10

I didn't enjoy this series as much as the others. They seem to have lost all the light-hearted,"every day" stuff (like Annie getting a job in a pub, and Mitchell inviting the neighours round for a cuppa). I think that's what made it before, as surely that was the "being human" part of it. I also think that it worked better in their house in Bristol (reminded me of the house shares of my youth), and I think that the series worked so well as people could relate to it from their own lives. Wasn't convinced by the Annie and Mitchell relationship either. I don't know where they're going to go without Mitchell, the series did so well because the lead actors were so perfect for the parts. I think Tom is great also, but I can see that if they did a fourth series with him it wouldn't really work with three WW's and a ghost!

Squitten · 14/03/2011 14:44

So, series 4 will be happening then. Really hope they won't be battering a good thing to death there...

MinnieBar · 14/03/2011 18:31

Uber-vamp (sorry forgotten his name) said something to the police in the incident room about 'your senior officer went missing' so I presume that's Nancy and that she'll be back (actress availability permitting!). Plus the forensic fingerprint guy that Annie staked said she'd been chosen so I'd say they earmarked her.

Yes to bad sound the week before ? but I tend to watch it with subtitles on as DD2 (10mths) is usually banging around in the background!

What happened to Tom though? Did I miss that while I was actually giving DD2 some attention?!

Ripeberry · 14/03/2011 22:28

Well at least Herrick did not get to come to my hometown. Made me choke on my cider that did! Grin

CheeseEnforcementAgency · 15/03/2011 02:42

Watched again with dh earlier. The policeman stillspooked me Blush

upyourdiva · 15/03/2011 07:49

I watched it again last night with friends and still cried at the end but not quite as much (I could speak after 5 minutes as opposed to the night before where I was inconsolable for 2 hours Blush), I also noticed a lot more that I had missed whilst I was waiting patiently to see Mitchell die!

I think Nancy might come back because Whyndam did say that the senior officer went minssing, even though they had found the body.

Also noticed mItchell hinting to want to end it all through out the whole episode and realised that the only reason he was still alive was to kill Herrick.

I thinkt hey should end it after series 4 possibly 5 if they stretch it because the casting just won't make any sense after that.

Still gutted but have decided to stop mourning for a fictional mass murdering vampire and check out Aidan Turners other stuff a bit more. I am a fan of his looks and acting so not a complte saddo :o

peanutsmuggler · 15/03/2011 10:29

I think the missing senior officer they referred to was the vampire who tried to kill Nancy, the one Annie staked.

bettys · 15/03/2011 11:38

So if all these vampires are on the police force, how do they get photo for their warrant cards etc?
