Any ideas? I reckon Graham, Molly, Fiz & maybe Charlotte. Or possibly drippy Sian.

With those ears?!

Lifegoeson · 09/12/2010 22:19

Agree mary was v OTT and quite crass given the circumstances... Tis real ya know!

Did anybody spot any other mistakes, like when the disabled girl stood up at the bar?! Or was she just making an effort cos of poor Ashley dying.

And Sally's girls were wailing banshees, like in a row outside a club - nooooo Wayne, 'e's not wurf it!

WanderingInAWinterWonderland · 09/12/2010 22:28

WhatSheSaid - is it? I've never watched it. I wasn't even sure if it was Shortland Street, it was somebody on MN in another discussion about Coronation street that said - not that I'm obsessed with Coronation Street or anything Xmas Grin!

wandering it was prob me who said it in the other discussion, i am a bit of a corrie obsessive myself Smile

bramblebooks · 09/12/2010 23:03

Zuniga and Peter both in Christmas credits I think.

iPad spellcheck strikes again ....

Housemum · 09/12/2010 23:21

I wondered if she stood up or if it was her chair - in the joinery the other night she lifted the seat up by pressing a button, to have a go at someone - it did make me look twice though

MrsDingDongMerrily · 09/12/2010 23:28

I thought when Izzi first came on the shoes, she said she could walk a bit but needed the wheelchair most of the time, although I did feel surprised when she suddenly stood up tonight.

I burst into tears when Peter's life support thing started bleeping just as he said his vows, also for Molly, even though I didn't like her. also when Claire played Ashley's last message.

Thought it was brilliant tonight, mostly the acting was excellent, you really wouldn't have known it was live.

Did think Nick's suit looked a lot cleaner than it had done whilst he was buried in the rubble, would have prefered not to see his bare chest and it would have been good if Claire could have summoned up a few tears.

nattivitycake · 09/12/2010 23:40

Twas me, i mentioned adam rickett being in shortland st earlier in this thread...

Housemum · 09/12/2010 23:44

Just fast forwarded and yes, izzy does stand up.

Agree we saw too much nick - his character should have been crushed!
And sally's hair may actually be a wig at the mo as she had cancer - the actress as well as the character. Though it has always looked like a wig anyway!
Thought clurr's reaction may have been correct - so awful you don't actually cry yet.
Night night!

nattivitycake · 09/12/2010 23:58

It is a wig. Dont understand why they've given sally the character hair when shes also had cancer though, its not like they'd even have to write her short hair into the story...??? Confused

pastaplease · 10/12/2010 06:56

I thought everyone acted well apart from Antony Cotton (is that his name? Sean, anyway). He really didn't seem convincing - talking in a high pitched voice doesn't = upset, I don't think.

pawsnclaws · 10/12/2010 07:18

Where's the legend (so he is) that is Jim McDonald? Hoping he's not the mystery man dead in the car!

ajandjjmum · 10/12/2010 08:24

I thought Sean was great. I thought Sally and Nick were a bit iffy at times, but overall they were brilliant.

Can you tell I love Corrie. Grin

TragicallyHip · 10/12/2010 09:12

I though Sean was great too!

Good point, why did they bother putting a wig on Sally in the first place?

pawsnclaws · 10/12/2010 09:37

I was wondering with Sally if that was the choice of the actress. She was on the 50 Corrie moments programme afterwards with very cropped hair presumably from her RL treatment, and maybe it was just too close to the mark for her to appear on a soap without hair. Really felt for her on that programme by the way.

LouMacca · 10/12/2010 10:37

So enjoyed last nights live episode, I thought everyone was fantastic! - Well Done Corrie cast! Way superior to the Eastenders live one.

Housewife2010 · 10/12/2010 10:46

I absolutely loved it. Really enjoyed this week with the excitement of Corrie each night. Just want Peter to survive & still wondering about the 4th death. Only the evil builder missing from the Xmas credits. Where was Michelle this week? Can't stand her but surely she'd have been around. Or maybe she was but I didnt notice.

FooffysFestiveShmooffery · 10/12/2010 10:49

Peter will not die! not, not, not.
God, his acting was brilliant last night.
Fiz in labour was also credible and I hate TV labours.

Can't wait for tonights.

LouMacca · 10/12/2010 11:17

Yes Jenny McAlpine was very good. I wonder how many times she had rehearsed the labour? I also think the scenes between Steve, Becky and Kylie were wonderful.

FooffysFestiveShmooffery · 10/12/2010 11:24

RE Michelle: on Monday IIRC Ciaran said to Leanne that Michelle was sorry she couldnt make the hen night and Leanne replied yes she's been in touch something to do with that muppet haired kid of hers up in Glasgow. (she didnt say muppet I just can't remember his name).

Wonder was Kym Marsh not in it because she is pregnant and it would have been too much?

In all honesty couldnt give a monkeys about the McDonalds at all. Can't stick 'em. (Babes,Babes, baby, baby, babes)Jeez

Bomper · 10/12/2010 11:34

LouMacca - so agree with you, the Corrie Live episode was fantastic, much better than the Enders one. I felt on edge the whole time with Enders, expecting that they would fluff their lines etc but forgot completely that Corrie's was going out live - brilliant acting all round!!

SoLongAsItsHealthy · 10/12/2010 12:25

Some people have been saying Fizz's labour was over-acted but I think it was spot on. Brought back a wince or two for me!

Absolutely fab show, like others I also forgot it was going out live it was that slick.

Sally was a bit dodgy on occasions with the theatricals and Ken proved himself to be as wooden as ever (noticed they only gave him one line which he delivered like he was playing Lear - "Give up on my son? Never!!!") but Claire, Fizz, the Macdonalds and Lianne were outstanding IMO.

They must all be pleased as punch.

tazzietwo · 10/12/2010 12:45

Hi. I don't watch Corrie but am just wondering who is the father of Fizz's baby? I didn't even know she was pregnant!
