Starts on Saturday!!
I can't find any contestant rumours other than Goldie, does anyone know of any?
Is Alesha back? can only find articles about her not signed contract yet.
No results show apparantly and new format for voting, can't wait - Winter is here.

I think the stupid Halloween theme has ruined it tonight wot wiv all these scaaaary songs and all

HRHCavey · 30/10/2010 19:55

Agreed, the theme week was totally unnecessary and detracts from the actual dancing.

Still think Patsy and Jimi were over marked and I hate to say I think the undermarked Gavin. His shaping was much better than Jimi's.

I liked Matt's Tango but feel it would have been better with some proper music.

I voted for Gav in a tactical move to get Ann off. As amusing as it was, she's the worst one in there.

Liked: Tina jimi patsy matt and Michelle (although think Brendan might have spoilt it for her)
Loved: Scott and kara
MeH : Gavin felicity and Pamela
Liked but would like to get rid: Ann

pinkteddy · 30/10/2010 20:41

I really enjoyed the Halloween theme and so did dd. Agree that sometimes the music didn't quite fit though.

Liked Jimi, Patsy, Michelle and Scott. I doubt Ann will go, I think Gavin and maybe Tina in trouble tonight?

MrsKitty · 30/10/2010 21:43

I'm getting a bit bored with Felicity - Yes, we know you can do the splits, so please stop doing them in every single bloody dance! Would like to see her go tonight, as I felt Michelle was much better this week and actually looked like she enjoyed herself. (I would actually like to see Anne go, but I'm pretty sure she'll be there for a while longer...)

Gav was much improved, I thought, would be a shame if he goes this week. Craig seems to be very harsh on him.

Matt is my favourite, but I didn't enjoy his Argentine Tango tonight - I felt Aliona's choreography was very "me, me, me" (much like it was last year for Rav).

Snowstorm · 30/10/2010 23:17

Scott and Kara are my favourites. I was SO pleased for Kara this week as think she's a fantastic dancer and has been undermarked for most of her dances. Think Matt and Pamela come next.

Gavin makes me want to watch from behind the sofa with a cushion in front of me to cringe into ... I just don't get how it's possible to get to his age and not have that enormous amount of vanity teased/beaten out of him, can't bear it.

Thought Michelle did really well tonight - definitely her best dance yet. Have to like Patsy for her have a go attitude. Am sad that Jimi remains mediocre because he and Flavia look like they could be good fun in the training sessions. Find Felicity (and Vincent) dull to watch. I think that Tina and Jared are held back it being Jared's first series - his choreography is lacking but will probably improved with SCD experience. 'Um ... we all very much enjoy watching Ann and Anton but want them to go before Jimi and Tina get voted out.

Think that's everyone ...

TheDailyWail · 30/10/2010 23:38

I felt the halloween theme limited them and was completely unnecessary.

Why are the BBC trying to copy the X Factor?

runnyhabbit · 31/10/2010 10:16

I like Gavin, and I think he did improve this week.
Snowstorm - he knows he's vain, but it's a standng joke in his familyGrin so think he plays up to it, iyswim.

TigersChick · 31/10/2010 10:50

I was a bit meh about the theme but it was what it was ...

I mostly agreed with the judges tho I thought that, despite it being her best dance so far, Michelle was over-marked ... especially after the comments she got [hhmm]

Since when were they allowed to do so many lifts?? I thought it was only the American Smooth that allowed lifts but now they're popping up (scuse the pun) everywhere [hconfused]

Really don't know who I think will go tonight ... but I doubt it'll be Ann.

runnyhabbit ISWYM but do you really think so? It's really hard to tell whether he's joking or not as his face never changes expression apart from when he's rolling his eyes. I find that the things he says make him sound immature and a bit dim and the preening that goes on - so unmasculine, it's just uncomfortable/unbelievable to watch ... I don't think he's playing up to it, I think that's just him.

runnyhabbit · 31/10/2010 12:07

Nah, in rl he's not like it so much. Quite down to earth. Then again, when I've been around him, he's been with his family (which he's pretty close to) so maybe it's a comfort zone thing?
Who knowsSmile

redandgreen · 31/10/2010 17:47

I LOVE Gavin. He is very, very funny and has been laugh out loud hilarious on every episode of ITT he's been on. I would honestly pay good money for a DVD of Gavin clips.

And honestly, the female pro dancers are mostly naked all the time, why such a fuss about gavin's lovely body getting it's moment of glory. Evens things up a bit.

maryz: I'll come back and post to let you know who is gone, but for the benefit of those that don't want to know I will put a "SPOILER ALERT" across the top of my post [hgrin]

I agree, I wish they'd just do the results on a Saturday night like they used to.

The Pro's dance was cheese personified (6 dancers pretending to be ghosts chasing Erin around the dance floor before Anton (in Ghostbusters jumpsuit) arrives to save the day). Lovged it though [hgrin])

JustKeepSparkling · 31/10/2010 19:44

Quick Q - we are sitting here debating, do they get dressed & made up again for Sunday's show, or is it really filmed on Sat?

noeyedear · 31/10/2010 19:49

At a guess, I'd say it's done on Saturday. That makeup, especially tonight, would take an age to do. Also, the audience would presumably have to be new, but not turn up for any of the dancing. Would be a bit pointless!

JustKeepSparkling · 31/10/2010 19:51

So everyone keeps it a secret all Sunday? that seems impressive to me.

HRHCavey · 31/10/2010 19:51

It is all done on a Saturday, hence why the voting lines are only open for half an hour or so.

Plus Len and Bruno have to fly to the USA in order to judge on Dancing With The Stars which is on a Tuesday night (I think)
