I can't find any contestant rumours other than Goldie, does anyone know of any?
Is Alesha back? can only find articles about her not signed contract yet.

perhaps thye were worrie dnoone woudl bother ot watch othersie . Mind you Felicity Kendal, Anne Widdecombe and Paul Daniels have been long since rumoured.

I think they are announcing the partners on Saturday - apparently even the celebs don't know yet...

I read that too, that the celebs dont know who theyll be with. So have they been training with regular dance coaches up till now...?

Oooh that's exciting that they don't know who'll they'll be with yet. Make sense of why the first dancing show isn't for a few weeks. Eeeek!

The line up is fairly dull this year - not many "crap dancer but charismatic personality" types this year.

I'm disappointed that some of the better (IMO0 professional dancers won't be there.
I thought Ian was lovely.

Is it wrong that I want them to pair Brendan with Anne Widdecombe? Can't imagine she'd take any crap from him.

Can't say I'm too excited about this year's line up. I'll miss Ian, Brian, etc.

Think the Beeb may have made a boob with that.

They are actively wanting to play down the role of the professional dancers and I hear a rumour that they are no longer in the show titles...

Who are the judges this time round? Makes all the difference. Please let Bruce be otherwise indisposed and unable to host then I could watch it.

Judges are as before (Bruno, Craig, Len and Alesha).

Bruce would have to be carried out in a cofin very ill to not do the show.

Just seen a mini-trailer for it. Somebody please give Gavin Henson a shirt with some buttons on it. Suppose that'll be one benefit of Arlene not being on the panel. Won't have to listen to her "saucy" comments about him.

If tonights group dance is anything to go by Ann W, Paul Daniels, Peter Shilton and Gavin H will not be around for very long!

Whilst some dance experience is an advantage, Ballroom is so unlike anything else that it won't help much. I started Ballroom lessons 2 months ago after 2 years of Latin American and 7 years of Salsa and it's flamin hard work! Great fun though and a million times better than working out in the gym

I reckon Ann W is going to be in for a while in the same way that John Seargeant was a while back. Poor poor Anton though

If you were Anton, and you saw the other old hands getting culled and you were kept on, and then you heard that Anne Widdecombe was taking part, I think you'd know what was coming, wouldn't you? I also really really wanted to be wrong and Brendan to get Widders though. I cannot believe that he got Michelle Williams.

I have a bit of a crush on Felicity Kendal - I want to look like that now, never mind when I'm her age - what a figure!

I think Gav's going to be crap tbh - he seems too self-conscious and I don't think he'll let himself go enough to really enjoy it - too worried about making a twat of himself, maybe.

Glad Brendan's still there. Don't know what it is about him (he's not attractive really, is he?) but he's very sexy...

Oh and I really like Countryfile bloke, but can't bear that stroppy Russian one he's been paired with.

The group dance was a bit of a shambles wasn't it.Didn't like some of the dresses either - Patsy Kensit looked awful.

Ooh yes - Patsy Kensit's dress was highly unflattering. And the female professionals all seemed to have as little on as possible!

DH (who I believe has now been sucked in to the world of Strictly as he asked me to pause the i-player whilst he went to the loo ) seemed pleased, anyway.

MrsKitty, totally agree with you about Aliona. I didn't like her last year when she was partnered with Rav Wilding. She seemed to miss the point of the show and choreographed all her routines to show off her own talents rather than her celeb partner's strengths.

Another one here disappointed that Matt's been paired with Aliona. Pleased to see Ian still there even if it's only for the pro dances.

I said the same thing about the moody ginger one on another thread. I had high hopes for Matt, but have reservations now he's with her. She was awful last year.

And here we go all over again!! Line up isn't sparkling, but def. intriguing. Agree Felicity looks good - remember her as 'rear of the year/decade' and every suburban blokes fancy.

Sorry Lilia Kopulova isn't in it - she danced about 5 feet from my nose at a 'do' once - what she can't do with her back would never need doing.

Can you have a 'silence' button fitted to your handset, and select AnnoyingLittleMagicianMan,and so you never have to hear his voice?? Please......??
