Me too Tiger and with the bottom 2 as well. Darren has been in earlier pro dances, I love watching Kristina dance and am liking Katya more each week. So looking forward to next week with Argentine Tango! Would love to see Pamela and James deliver a sizxling performance! Not sure what the ballroom dance is though.

Loved the Argentine Tango, though did they really need the other two couples? Vincent & Flavia would have been fab alone! Also, they used my favourite tango track [hgrin]

Agree with Tigerseye, what's the point of the "dance group" if they're going to use the competing pros all the time?!

Truffkin (gives secret Frolicker handshake), I believe they count Argentine Tango as a ballroom dance, as with standard Tango. I expect Jive will be the Latin dance for next week.
I enjoy watching Jive, but it's my least favourite dance to do. Me and Jive just don't seem to get on!

Still typing blind, but OMG, I'm only half way through last night's but Scott was Uh-maze-ing.

Delurking here to show appreciation for HRHCavey's commentary and expertise - and re the 'dance group' - apparently they have only been contracted for 6 of the results shows, so it'll be the other professionals the rest of the time. Who knows why they've done it that way...

Well! Boy, enjoyed this evening. And god, the right result, I suppose, but Michelle is AWFUL, awful beyond belief. I do not know how she got 27. Absurd! Surely she goes next week, it's long overdue.

Though I just don't quite "get" the whole Pamela thing. Yes, she is good, possibly very good, but she doesn't blow me away... I'm not "wow" and glued and transfixed. Hmm. Maybe it's just me. And it's not a boy/girl thing. I've been transfixed by some lady dancers before, but not with her.

But the boys, Scott and Matt. Well, what a bloody housewife's choice that is! Bring it on boys, anytime! ......

Pleased with the result tonight - It was definitely the right bottom 2, and the right one out.

Fab pro dances again tonight, and loved Kristina & thingy (can't remember his name, sorry!) during Neil Diamond.

Results show not quite as stilted and slow as last couple of weeks, but still think they need to bring the dance off back.

Peter and Michelle were bottom two and Peter went out.

It appears the next two dances will both be Latin - Jive and Paso Doble.

I only started learning Paso a few months ago and have to say I really love it! Jive, I'm not so fond of, but like watching other people doing it!

Ok, I take the last post back - it's going to be a mixed week!

Ann - Paso Doble
Felicity - Viennese Waltz
Patsy - Jive
Michelle - Jive

Not sure about the others yet.

Surely some must be doing the Argentine Tango - that was what Claudia said to them after the pro's one on Sunday.
I'm not so keen when they mix up the dances so much; it's hard to compare a jive with a Viennese Waltz and a Paso Doble and an Argentine Tango ...

I'm sure this has been discussed at some stage during this thread but to save me time does anyone know why there is no dance off this year?

No dance off means that the popular ones always go through rather than the best dancer which the judges pick. They probably think that more people will watch if crap but popular people like Ann stay to the end. I'd rather they went back to the old system.

Not sure what the official reason is.

re Kara & Artem - she was on Loose Women yesterday and they asked her, she blushed a lot and said maybe after the show is over they might have plans to go on a date - she was very coy about it though

It was a shame Peter went out but it was definitely his time. I think Michelle needs to go next week - I don't think she has the right personality for it apart from anything else.

I do agree with the majority who were unimpressed with Pamela - I was really surprised at the scores. I know it sounds cynical but I do feel that this year the judges have their favourites and they champion them. It still winds me up that Felicity gets such low marks compared to others. They seem to be ignoring Kara too despite her being an amazing dancer. They said she needed more welly this week, but her facial expressions were really good and she danced amazingly well. Tsk tsk!

I adored the argentine tango by the professionals this weekend... wow!

To be fair - Michelle has done all future singers a favour as to-date I'm sure we have all presumed that they can all dance as well as sing. Now we know that they can't .
