Pamela was lovely but think she will struggle with the latin.

I'm no dancer but Pamela brought tears to my eyes. She looked as though she loved every moment of that.

Hiding behind my cushion in anticipation of Paul Daniels! Perhaps Ola's costume (or lack thereof) will distract the judges!

Well if Pamela brought a tear to my eye, Paul Daniels brought a little bit of sick to the back of my throat

He wasn't as bad as I expected! He had some good timing and Ola choreographed a nice simple routine for him!

Good on him for giving it a go.

I am happy with the beginning. Shame there is no Brian, Darren or Lillia but... thought Matt Baker was ace. Pamela's waltz was lovely but..will she cope with the latin??

sailorsgal, sorry only just seen your previous salsa post. Whereabouts do you dance? Not much of a salsa scene around here and DH is not a dancer (though he tries, bless!) so I don't get to dance outside of our class.

I really enjoyed tonight's show ... and can't wait for tomorrow.

I think it's a much better idea to let everyone do both a latin and a ballroom dance before the public get to vote. Seems much fairer to me.

Yes Matt definitely had gymnastics training, but I'm not bothered by that. It was a pleasure to watch him dance.

I was quite shocked by how much Patsy Kensit seemed to be falling apart. Not on the dance floor, just in herself. I felt so sorry for her. She really has lost all her confidence. I really hope she finds a way to be comfortable in herself as she learns more dancing. It's so good for that sort of thing
