For those that love Mistresses as much as me, I have just read in the latest Glamour mag that Mistresses is back on our tv screens early next month! Fabulous!

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 21/08/2010 17:43

Yes trudies drunken confession was funny

elsa is meant to be 3. Was her 3rd birthday party. Def too old to be in a buggy

in some ways I feel sorry for katie. She never has a happy relationship with a man and sure after her dad had an affair she wouldn't have run away with Richard

then again she knew that trudie had slept with the cake man so maybe she thought that trudie didn't deserve Richard iyswim

fruitstick · 21/08/2010 18:22

But how much time has past since the beginning of the series. The beginning was 6 months earlier but surely a couple of months must have passed since then.

gramercy · 21/08/2010 18:52

Agree that Elsa is Too Big. In fact she's bigger than my 6-year-old.

Twigged that Trudi will listen to mobile message. Serves her right. She can't shag Cake Man and then keep Richard - especially when she wears such horrendous clothes.

Watched it in HD and was rather gratified to note [mean emoticon] that Siobhan looking not quite as good as in ordinary vision. Still looks only 42, mind you, and still looks about 120 years younger than I do.

myredcardigan · 21/08/2010 23:45

I think it's too neat that Siobhan and Dominic get together. I think he's ask her to ask him to stay, she'll say it's his decision and he'll go. Though maybe she'll become his mistress as he was hers.

S P O I L E R A L E R T

Mistresses
Series 3. Episode 4/4
Emotions run high as the friends are united in grief at a funeral, leading to a bitter row which causes a huge rift in the group. Several months pass without a word between the women, before a heartbreaking announcement finally brings them back together. An unexpected guest at Siobhan's birthday party forces her to question her new relationship, while Trudi is panic-stricken when Amy goes missing.

nappyzoneloveschinesefood · 22/08/2010 09:02

so is there only 4 episodes? is that it?

girlsyearapart · 22/08/2010 09:08

yep only 4 as far as I can tell. It seems to me like they were coerced into a final series. It is good so far but they seem like they're rushing through the storylines.

GreatOrmondSt · 24/08/2010 13:26

CDMforever, I know I just couldn't get over Orla Brady! I want some of what she's having! She's married but has no kids-that must be her secret...but thanks gramercy, I'm just a little bit happy that she looks a little less perfect in HD :)

Maths isn't my strong point but if the first episode is six months prior to where they all come together at Katie's house and say, 2-3 months have past by the time Richard dies, then by the reunion Jess should only be about 3 months pregnant which means she wouldn't be showing? Unless the heartbreaking announcement tegan mentions in the spoiler is either a miscarriage or an illness for Jess?

Amy

Loujalou · 26/08/2010 22:04

Yay to Simon coming back briefly and yay to Siobhan and Dom. Was not so secretly wishing Hari was going to make a final appearance. Might just buy the box set to ogle reminisce.

Sad
Ineedmorechocolatenow · 26/08/2010 22:12

Orla Brady is gorgeous.... Envy

Conundrumish · 26/08/2010 22:18

Is there/will there be a box set? Love that programme.

I'm pleased they didn't try to give them all happy perfect endings in the last episode.

JackieNo · 26/08/2010 22:23

They did kind of leave it open for another series if they really wanted to, despite saying this is the last series ever...

Loujalou · 26/08/2010 22:25

Boxsets!!

You can buy series one and two in one hit and its a tenner. Think that might give me my Hari Mistresses hit.

Conundrumish · 26/08/2010 23:19

Thanks Loujalou - just what I need!

bunjies · 30/08/2010 10:30

Please can you ladies help me out. My stupid dvd recorder failed to record the last episode while we were on holiday last week so could some kind soul please fill me in on the juicy bits? I've tried looking up the episode online but they're all pre-air so with no spoilers.

bunjies · 30/08/2010 17:39

bump (desperate, moi?!)

Jazzicatz · 30/08/2010 17:47

Could you watch it on Iplayer?

bunjies · 30/08/2010 20:45

Unfortunately as I live abroad it's not available Sad.

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/08/2010 15:49

hmmmmmmmmmm, what a crap ending

bunjies · 01/09/2010 17:19

Aaagh, blondes, you can't tease me like this!!! Tell me more.

Bellebelle · 01/09/2010 22:23

Okay Bunjies here's my summary although I'll probably miss something:

Richards's dead, at funeral Trudie listens to the voicemessage from Katie. Confrontation scene in garden where Trudi falls out with them all (Siobhan & Jess for not telling her).

Scene at Katie's house is to tell them all that Jess has ovarian cancer (Katie bumped into her at hospital), they all agree to 'be there for her' despite the fall out.

Siobhan is going out with photographer bloke, Dominic is in NY (at funeral his wife had begged her not to take him away from her so Siobhan made a big deal of wishing them both well). Photographer throws her birthday party which all of them go to although Katie & Trudi not speaking. Dominic turns up at party unannounced, obvious tension between him and Siobhan.

Something happens with Trudi's business which is too dull to bother explaining.

Jess tell's Mark about the cancer, he is very upset but they're not together and don't get back together. He does return the money to Siobhan though and it's meant to show "he's good really" I think.

Katie has been in denial about her situation with Richard etc but finally breaks down, Joanna Lumley decides to stay in the family house rather than go back to SA.

Jess has an operation to remove the ovary which has the cancerous growth on it, some talk about still wanting to have kids if other ovary okay, think we're meant to assume that she can still have children as op goes well. That Simon bloke is on the scene looking after her, maybe they'll get together but we don't really care.

Trudi and Katie make up at some point after Richard's daughter runs away to Katie's house. Trudi realises that she's really angry at herself - nonsense, as if you really would forgive that.

Siobhan finds out that Dominic isn't with his wife anymore, cue last minute dash to airport in hideous clothes to tell him that she loves him. They kiss at the top of the escalators above the Easyjet desks just before security (I spend a lot of time in Bristol airport).

Final scene in hospital where Jess tells them all that she's in the clear, group hug, end.

bunjies · 02/09/2010 19:59

Oh Bellebelle, bless you. You will be rewarded in the afterlife. Thank you for the very entertaining summary. I can rest now.

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/09/2010 08:54

bellebelle very good summary - as i said it was a crap endinf - all too neat
