Mistresses - back in early Aug - yay!

For those that love Mistresses as much as me, I have just read in the latest Glamour mag that Mistresses is back on our tv screens early next month! Fabulous!

Thought it was brilliant as usual last night!

The thought always in my mind whenever I watch an episode though is how come they all appear so wealthy, particularly Siobhan ?? She seems to own a massive house etc etc, said last night to Dominic that she works three days a week, has no husband bringing in money also. Its a mystery to me.

And bloody Katie with the droopy cardigans, drives me mad. Like she hasn't got enough money to dress half decently. Also her house always appears to depressing, so dark, no lights ever on etc.

I'm surprised Joanna Lumley hasn't disowned her. It was bloody reminding me of Audrey and Gail from Corrie!

Trudi had an affair with the last man who took an interest in her cupcakes. Honestly!

Siobhan called the creepy man's bluff and gave evidence of their affair to his wife and lost her job as a result I think.

I have a bit of a girl crush on her.

I saw it last night and thought it was slow-moving and boring. I know it's the first one in the series though.. Will give it another chance next week.

Siobhan was a hotshot lawyer must have made a packet. Also that's not a London house so she's probably down sized.

Felt sorry for siobhan. one minute she has two men and a crazy ol' bloke all after her, the next year she's watching her x get engaged to Barbie.

No, you're not. I need to know where they get the money too! otherwise I think 'it's not a house it's a set'.

trudi's marriage seems to be floundering already, she's never there, working all the time, business in trouble too, richard is a sahd, and he is becoming too close to Katie (nothing happened yet). Katie's mum played by Joanna lumley has showed up and is asking katie why she is 'only' a locum, why she split up with Dan... Then she says to Katie that trudi is her oldest friend and that richard is Trudi's husband and that he shouldn't be taking his problems to Katie. She basically says that she sees Katie walking straight into an affair and that it wouldn't be the first time Katie has walked in to a big mess. HOPEFULLY she got through to katie, as richard turns up on her doorstep one night and Katie says she can't be the person he turns to.

Jess is going to have ivf, which is going to be paid for by siobhan but jess doesn't know that, siobhan giving the money to her husband as otherwise they'd have to wait. Siobhan wants jess to be a mum too. Her motives are good I think so don't know why it has to be top secret but no doubt when that comes out it will be a big drama!

siobhan's x, the father of elsa is getting married to some young girl with a strange accent (canadian? but not quite?) she is about 25 and blonde, thin, young. runs around siobhans house in a towel.

I also think Katie will have a fling (with Mark?), Jess will get pregnant & Mark will leave as he doesn´t really want children.

Katie will be pregnant from her fling.

They will all end up alone with children.

I watched it in HD with DH commenting on every mark on their face

Does nobody think Mark will take 10 grand form Siobhan but NOT spend it on IVF?

I really hope they don't all end up alone. I know it will all be terribly modern and all but a bit rubbish.

Maybe Katie will be the only one who ends up with s partner, given that she's either shagged married men or screwed everything up so far.

Spinaroo, omg, didn't think of that. That would be a horrible twist.

That might explain the tension at the beginning between Siobhan & Jess?

i suddenly thought that perhaps mark will take the money but not use it for ivf if so there could be more twists. perhaps jess gets pg from an affair and soibhan thinks it's from ivf, mark could leave maybe to go to soibhan. perhaps richard turns to jess when rejected by katie and gets her pg

I think Sarah Parish is lovely. I've seen her interviewed a few times and she seems so friendly and down to earth. Orla Brady is sooooooo attractive, I'm going to google her to see how old she is.

Me too! I can remember seeing her in something years ago. She played a housewife who had an affair with David Morrissey. I think she has done a lot of stage work and then has obviously come back to TV.

I agree Sarah Parish does seem lovely- her character in this is not. I actually agreed with her mother last night when she said in that inimitable drawl
