Would you tell your teen you can hear him ...doing what teen boys do....and could he please do it quieter?

I've posted before about walking in on him and learning to knock before entering his room.

Now the problem is I can hear him in my kitchen because his bedroom's above. So, as I prepare dinner/wash up/generally potter, I hear him wanking.

I know it happens, and they all do it, but I really don't want to hear it.

Tactful approach?

See, crookshanks, since I discovered evidence (shall we say), I no longer change ds's bed. I just said to him, think you're old enough to change your own sheets now. He didn't argue

weebleswobble · 12/09/2007 21:07

Crookshanks, don't forget to put your arm down the side of the bed to pick up the crusty tissues

Ah, but Crook, being deaf is no protection at all, my friend.

You will feel the vibrations

CrookshanksinJimmyChoos · 12/09/2007 21:08

at finding sticky sheets and stiff curtains!

CrookshanksinJimmyChoos · 12/09/2007 21:09

Arghh!!! No vibrations! I don't want to know!

weebleswobble · 12/09/2007 21:10

I don't get why he seem to find it such hard work. He's done enough research on techniques on the internet to have it hand perfect by now.

rantinghousewife · 12/09/2007 21:12

You'll be fine CP, you will realise however, that they are a bit like aliens from another planet

Desiderata · 12/09/2007 21:14

rebel - purpleduck/purpledick is an easy mistake to make, and oddly, the Church of England are to blame.

The hymn. That hymn. Let's muster together and sing 'All Things Bright And Beautiful' ..

weebleswobble · 12/09/2007 21:14

Also CP, I think easier than girls when hormones kick in. They just stink and grunt rather than bitch.

rantinghousewife · 12/09/2007 21:16

unknownrebelbang · 12/09/2007 21:27

I've got three boys.

eldest one is just a teenager.

I really don't want to think too much about this...

weebleswobble · 12/09/2007 21:30

Too late Unknown - now you're here you're officially part of the "wish we hadn't heard our teens wanking club"

OP posts:
unknownrebelbang · 12/09/2007 21:30

In just four years, they'll all be teenagers together.

Note to self: ensure they all know how to wash their own bedding by then.

unknownrebelbang · 12/09/2007 21:30

Lordy, DS1 actually sorted his own bedding out a couple of weeks ago...

leave a box of tissues outside bedroom door with a note saying 'thought you might need these'

rantinghousewife · 12/09/2007 21:37

Ds actually asked ages ago for a box of tissues for his room, it took a mighty big combined effort for me and dh not to burst into gales of laughter!
I just discreetly left a pack outside his room, couldn't face actually handing them to him.

MamaMaiasaura · 12/09/2007 21:38

DP thought Desi's post was very very funny.
