Where do people buy underwear for young teenagers, apart from M&S or Primark?

OP posts:
madeyemoodysmum · 08/02/2019 19:43

My dd likes primark and pink if I let her have a few pairs. Bloody expensive

She still has old matalan and Asda one’d she wears tho

dementedpixie · 08/02/2019 20:35

My dd does not care. I asked her

Maddiii56 · 08/02/2019 20:49

Well mine does so I guess everyone is different I'm glad you decided to ask though thank you 🙏

JRMisOdious · 08/02/2019 20:54

Mine and various overseas students we’ve hosted were always very happy with H&M. Quality as good as M&S for about half the cost.

BigFatBloomers · 08/02/2019 21:14

My DD is quite curvy for her age.
We found that Boux Ave has unwired bras. Lounge bras seem to be a thing and don’t have wires. I think we went up a size and down a cup size. Also found a brand called something like Rose Royce (sold on ebay) which does nice simple teen bras.

Sorry OP i know this isn’t in answer to your original question.

HairyPotter · 09/02/2019 16:24

Boux Avenue start at a 28A f that’s any good.

redtulip12 · 09/02/2019 16:31

My daughters like Pants with an elastic waist band such as from Victoria Secret or Penguin from TKmaxx. We also have a few seam free black pairs from M&S.
Bras should be wireless while breasts are growing. We get these from M&S angel range.

dementedpixie · 09/02/2019 17:04

The Angel range doesn't go to a big enough cup size in the unwired bras

BigFatBloomers · 09/02/2019 17:49

Don’t forget to measure your DDs using the bra invention method. They’re very unlikely to be 30a and the like I think my DD was a 28D.

I am just really surprised that you buy your 14 yr old underwear. Why doesn't she buy her own. Having had 4 daughters I can't imagine any of them being amused by me buying their smalls at 14. What does she have to say on the subject. ?

dementedpixie · 09/02/2019 18:50

I buy my dd her underwear Confused. She hates shopping so doesn't go out and buy her own

JustDanceAddict · 09/02/2019 19:00

Pink
M&S ladies

Really? As my DD doesn't have a job, or money to buy stuff, I find I usually buy everything for her, we tend to go shopping together, she is only 14, not 18 Hmm

SirVixofVixHall · 09/02/2019 23:07

My dd (just turned 14 recently) has only bought herself pants once, when she was on a residential trip in a city last year. We live in a remote, rural area, and she is not at all streetwise. She would have to be in the city or nearest large town alone to buy her own underwear and that hasn’t happened yet. She has been clothes shopping with a friend while we shopped elsewhere, but she wasn’t interested in looking for bras or knickers ! Dd wants me with her when trying on bras, and we tend to choose pants together, or I buy her ones online that I know she will like. Other clothes I either buy a selection online and she chooses from that, or I take her shopping when we are in a city and she chooses what she wants to try on.
My Mum bought all my underwear at 14 , I don’t think it is odd, 14 is still pretty young.

pamplemoussed · 10/02/2019 23:18

Don’t forget Gap . I buy their XS pants for my young teen

Oh this old Lin " I'm really surprised that you do/ buy whatever for your child! It's become a cliche!
Why are people surprised that other parents do things for their kids!

Here's one, I still buy my lads undies and socks and they are 19 and 23. No big deal, when I'm in Mark's or Next shopping for myself I just through a few packets of things in the trolley for them.
I don't get all the faux shock. It boring bollocks!
