No. You shut the door and leave it. Smile She will have a panic when she runs out of clean underwear at which point you introduce her to the washing machine.

GROOVEYCHICK · 14/04/2013 16:52

thanks feel better now and hope i can keep strong and not cave

NO. Close the door, like Sparkling says. Leave it. Only enter to retrieve cups/glasses/bowls/plates (only because otherwise we'd have none to eat off)

Sparklingbrook · 14/04/2013 16:55

I know exactly what you mean it is hard. DS1 is 13 and hi bedroom gets in a real mess and I itch to get in there and clear it all up but it really is his job not mine.

You have to try and pretend it doesn't exist. Be strong. Grin

Sparklingbrook · 14/04/2013 16:56

Oh yes, you may have to grab glasses and crockery.

GROOVEYCHICK · 14/04/2013 16:59

no glasses and crockery just about a bagfull of half empty water bottles scattered all round lol

So why does she hate you GROOVEY? What terrible crime have you committed as the mother of a teen? Grin

freddiemisagreatshag · 14/04/2013 17:02

Grin like Sparkling says - did you Breathe? Look at her the wrong way? Emmm say no to a sleepover with boys (nice try DD1), or tell her to do her own ironing?

Sparklingbrook · 14/04/2013 17:04

I bet GROOVEY bought the wrong crisps freddie, or mentioned Homework. Shock

freddiemisagreatshag · 14/04/2013 17:05

Shock homework. I did that today. She's upstairs banging and bashing.

And I suggested she might want to put her washing in the big washbasket in the bathroom if she wants it washed.

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 14/04/2013 17:05

I hadn't been in DD's room for 6 lovely, harmonious months. Unfortunately her friend fainted in the middle of the night during a sleepover last week and I had to go in. Even worse her friend's parents had to go in there.

Sparklingbrook · 14/04/2013 17:07

I suggested DS1 may like to have a shower. Shock

Sparklingbrook · 14/04/2013 17:07

Wynken, have you started going in again now? Sad

freddiemisagreatshag · 14/04/2013 17:09

Sad Wynken don't cave and start going in.

Now, here's a question. It's Sunday night at 5pm. She has not given me any school uniform to wash. I have a thick head on and I am NOT asking for it.

Who bets she goes in dirty clothes in the morning?

GROOVEYCHICK · 14/04/2013 17:10

lol glad its not just me with a mum hating teen..ivsaid something really horrible it was hello lol
no i was nagging her so much ..asked twice .. nicely

and i asked for her washing well i thought her head was going to spin round

No, I'm staying strong, it's been so much better now the door stays shut. She'll be down in the morning blaming you for the lack of clean clothes Freddie and claiming you have ruined her life.

Sparklingbrook · 14/04/2013 17:12

Asking twice GROOVEY blimey that was brave. Grin

freddiemisagreatshag · 14/04/2013 17:12

As long as you remember it's all YOUR fault, it's NOT FAIR and everyone else's mum lets them you'll not go far wrong Grin

GROOVEYCHICK · 14/04/2013 17:12

same the uniform is in with .. her and pe kit
oh dear you will all hear her screaching tmrw

i ruined DS1's life last week. Wouldn't let him eat any more food before dinner. Shock

bigTillyMint · 14/04/2013 17:13

I think you need congratulations for getting this far before she refused to tidy up her roomSmile

DD wants to redecorate her bedroom - I said fine, when you chuck out all your tat and start keeping it tidyWink

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 14/04/2013 17:13

There will be a mini earthquake as teens throughout the country explode tomorrow morning.

freddiemisagreatshag · 14/04/2013 17:14

Nobody will die. She'll tell all her friends how horrible you are and they'll all say no you're not their mother is worse because she did this and that and the other and didn't let them do blah blah blah.
