Pet that is not an animal, bird or reptile?

DD is buying a flat and the over lease stipulates no animals, birds or reptiles can be kept as pets.

We've always had cats and she was hoping for one there, but obviously at this stage of the purchase it's not a deal breaker.

What pet can she have that falls outside of those boundaries? Fish I suppose?

It’s actually making me irrationally annoyed that people don’t know what an animal is. Insects yes, axolotls, yes, fish, yes. Gaaaahhhhhh.

I think it’s quite clear that the OP meant mammals, since they listed other groups after it eg bird and reptile. I’m sure most people do know that insects and fish are also animals. They just aren’t being pedantic and annoying. GAAAAAHHH
