Anyone know what these are? Found 6 of them in my back garden. Seam friendly and like cheese!

I seen 6 of these all snuggled together in my back garden. Very small as I approached they didn’t budge, I went and got some cheese and they shared it. I handed it to them and they took it from my hand with their hand. I think they are super cute what ever they are anyways! But I’m pregnant and my hormones are a mess so I’m guessing I should stay well away. Are they just mice? Baby rats? Voles?

Look like mice to me too, very odd they didn’t budge though, won’t take long for a cat to find them sadly.

They're very cute, but probably shouldn't be touching them. Not sure what they are. Some kind of mouse?

They look a bit like doormice.

V young Wood Mice. (Or possibly Yellow-necked Mice, which are v similar but rarer - need to see their underside to tell.)

Mice. I wonder if they’re pets that have been dumped? They shouldn’t be tame to eat from your hand, they should be hiding from you. As a PP says, they’re very vulnerable to cats if they’re not wild and frightened.

Pics not very clear, nor an idea of size, but best guess would be field mice. They are quite cute, small but with big heads in relation to their bodies.

Oh my, they are very cute. This is the kind of thing I would do and then my husband would be like why the hell are you feeding rodents in our garden.

Look like young woodmice to me, we have them in our garden, they move into the compost bin in the winter. Our cat occasionally brings one into the house.

They look like field mice. Those are the kind of mice my cats bring in. It’s unusual for them to be out in the open like that though; they’re very vulnerable to predators.

I have nothing useful to say other than that they are so cute! And I would also build them a house like a PP said

Very very cute. I wouldn't feed or touch them, though. Since they're in your garden you will encourage them and they might move in and cause damage to your home. How brave they are is concerning too, some transmissible diseases can cause that such as Toxoplasmosis.

They absolutely shouldn't take good from your hands if they are wild mice!

Can anyone get in your garden ? They don't look like babies but def very tame which is weird !

Oh wow they’re too cute for me and my normally cold shrivelled heart. I’d have made them a warm house and moved them in straight away! Good job I have cats so don’t have the opportunity to move mice into my home 😍

Rats have thicker hairless tails and small ears in comparison to their head. Nice have finer/more pointy nose and larger ears in proportion, along with hair on their tail which is thinner and shorter. Rat tails remind me of earthworms and are the length of their body, or longer. The second photo definitely looks like rats

If they stay there snuggled up maybe contact a wildlife rescue for advice.
