gracious me, I really have no idea why this has been reduced by £110

notyummy · 19/07/2010 22:15

But those sleeves - so practical! You could wipe up the DCs mess in no time...

OllieWollieWoo · 19/07/2010 22:34

LTEC - oooooh - I think I know which company you are alluding too. Will say no more but if I am right, I totally agree with your description! Point them in the W&A direction if you need references! Would it help if we leave some more comments on your blog?????

Loved the second maternity dress you linked not yummy - would really suit your colouring bunnymother.

Hard day here - week 3 of the school hols and I made the mistake of thinking we all needed a lazy day at home.....big mistake (think toys covering every floor, lots of little rows between DSs over toys, my chocolate stash was raided etc etc). They were incredibly sweet this afternoon tho when they found a huge caterpiller in the garden and then proceeded to make it a 'play centre' with paper, leaves, sticks and earth! Really made me smile.

Calling Fleecy - looks like I will have a couple of hours to myself in Norwich on Saturday en route to our holiday (yey!). Any shopping tips - and also somewhere for lunch with DH and DSs? Don't really need anything shopping wise so could just head to John Lewis and Jarrolds (sp?) for a browse - I do love a good homeware department!!!!

The meet up sounded soooo nice - I so hope I can come to the next one. I love the thought of you all peering under the table at Choos shoes!

Fleecy · 19/07/2010 22:53

OWW I'd browse here on Saturday - very close to Jarrolds. I guess you don't want to pick up too much stuff to take on with you but I think Jarrolds have a sale on at the moment and they usually have some very good reductions.

Chapelfield Mall is good for Zara/House of Fraser/Mango/New Look/H&M/River Island/Warehouse/Oasis and all the usual suspects. Top Shop close by too.

We don't usually take the DC for lunch in town but if we did would probably be a chain like Cafe Uno or Wagamamas where they're pretty family friendly. There is a lovely little coffee shop called Casaccios and I think you could get a nice light lunch and good cakes there - the staff are excellent with children. If you google it, you'll find a map.

Hope that helps! I would suggest a mini meet-up and Fel1x is in Ipswich so not too far either but I will be in Jersey!

Glad you all had such fun on Saturday. I'm definitely up for the next meet but am another one who would be terrified.

cake fab news about the interview. That cape coat is sold out in two sizes...

AllBuggiedOut · 19/07/2010 23:49

If it's kitchen-y things you like OWW try Looses. Perfect Pad is fun for home things, and fleecy there's another shop, bigger than perfect pad, that sells lovely home-y bits, but I can't for the life of me remember the name, although I think it begins with G... Any ideas where I mean?!

AllBuggiedOut · 19/07/2010 23:53

I remembered - it's The Granary, although seems to have been rebranded here. Have fun. Norwich is a lovely place to shop

LetThemEatCake · 20/07/2010 00:06

thanks fleecy! and OWW I bet you do know who I mean. I think it was a Breton dress, no?

just by the by .. . does anyone own any All Saints stuff?? any idea on sizing? Like, for a skirt type thing?

OP posts:
AllBuggiedOut · 20/07/2010 00:24

Hee hee! I find All Saints pretty true to size, although only have a couple of bits. Was wearing this today in an attempt to cover up my sunburn . Do report back. I am very tempted to join you, although suspect I wouldn't get a lot of wear out of it. Will be interested to hear how hard-wearing you think it will be. Could I wear it to toddler group?!

blossoming · 20/07/2010 06:23

How exciting and intriguing re interview ltec. email me or cat me if you want to ask something specific. I won't divulge any secrets!!
As I thought, dc1 woke at 5.45, after staying up late. We're off out for the day, either to a great outdoor park or an indoor play center depending on the weather when we arrive.
I'm so tired.

FritziGreenEyes · 20/07/2010 07:33

Zembo - Sorry no code for Figleaves. I ordered Spanx from here yesterday. They have free delivery worldwide.

OllieWollieWoo · 20/07/2010 07:34

Blossoming - we have another early starter here - DS2 is always up around 6am - whilst DS1 has started not going to sleep before 9.30pm (goes to bed at 7.30pm, lots of noises, bumps and a few trips downstairs to see what we are doing/havingfortea/watching on TV) so it feels as if I have no 'off' time at the moment! I feel your pain re being tired no! I'm taking the boys out to a big park that has new play equipment in the hope of burning off excess energy!

Fleecy - fab round up of shopping in Norwich - just what I was after, thank you! Also thank you ABO - will def have a peep at the homeware shops. Wonder how much I can squeeze into 2 hours whilst DH takes DSs to the castle!!! Will probably have that slightly wide eyed manic look about me!

LTEC - yes thats the one! Any idea what sort of questions you will be asked??? Q - are you interested in clothes/fashion? LTEC's reply - er, hell yes! The most unusual interview question I was asked once was what would I do if I saw a colleague with their head in their hands sobbing? Good question in a way but turned out half the team were off with stress so this sort of thing was a common occurance! Only found that out cos I got chatting to the dept PA who obviously wanted to share what was going on! I declined the job!

FritziGreenEyes · 20/07/2010 07:42

OWW - DD is the same as your DS1. Will follow the same strategy today: After kindergarden we'll take a football to the park and try to burn some energy. It will probably only me who will end up knackered tonight .

If anyone is interested. There is a Bloch sale on BuyVip from Thursday.

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 20/07/2010 07:56

Allbuggledout like that jumper from all saints but can't believe you didn't melt if you wore it yesterday.

LTEC good luck with the interview, I slightly disagree about the no suit as it's an interview, you have said you need to look fashionable and smart so maybe a suit by Viv Westwood, but that maybe just because I was drooling over a jacket of hers last season.

cain glad the first day went well.

I hope all the (trying) to burn off the LO energy goes well today, I have a cold so will mainly be sitting on sofa whilst DS watches TV (bad mummy emoticon). I am slightly in fear that this is the last week of toddler groups before summer hols.

Not W&A shopping but ordered an HTC desire (it is an an isn't it?) yesterday - woohoo. I may never need to talk to my DH again.

FritziGreenEyes · 20/07/2010 08:15

Just got delivery of White Company parcel. I ordered in MAY! They never confirmed my order or informed me about order dispatch. I'm not even sure if I want to open it as I definitely don't need any more summer dresses now. I don't know if I dare to order the gorgeous poncho or if I should wait until September and go to their shop directly.

FritziGreenEyes · 20/07/2010 08:28

They also charged me full price although I entered a code at the time and the sale is on by now. I just called customer services and was told that I have to pay postage for returning the items! Which will be about 17Euros . So no lovely poncho for me then...

Rant over

carciofi · 20/07/2010 08:35

Zembo - FIGHAC for 20% off at Figleaves

Fritzi, that's very poor customer service.

Off to gym, back later

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 20/07/2010 08:37

Doesn't sound much like customer services to me....did you point out when you had ordered them and the fact the sale in on now?

blossoming · 20/07/2010 08:40

Looks promising outside! I'm wearing my new jigsaw modal swing vest (v sheer) over lace detail vest in sapphire and the w&a best buy strapless bra, all with my cropped jeggings. Vest covers bum. New hair has made me playful and flirty!!

LetThemEatCake · 20/07/2010 09:01

fritzi that's rubbish of the WC!! Phone back and do a big complaining rant, am sure they will back down.

oooh la la look at the red Lanvin dress I won on ebay last night.

notyummy - thanks for the links! Will have another look at my maternity clothes and "fill the gaps". Think there must be a shortage of dresses, I can just feel it...

Dolce - your BBQ selection is fantastic - will remember that for next time we BBQ.

Will read, then re-post in a tick.

TraceyB - (size 4, size 24/5) Belstaff ankle boots and 7fam jeans on Coggles, big discount...

Back later!

notyummy · 20/07/2010 13:47

LTEC - love the Lanvin dress!

Well, talking of lack of customer service..

My £10 refund for a dress I returned to Oliver Bonas appeared today - only a few days after returning said item.

My £80 refund from Harvey Nicks for the VWA dress I returned 2 1/2 weeks ago has STILL not arrived.

bunnymother · 20/07/2010 14:06

Fritzi - hmm, this isn't the customer service that I would expect from WC
