Oh lord if any of you can help i would be soooooo grateful.

i have green metallic glasses, right? looooovely ones, mikli/starck etc cost a freakin' fortune. and i am wearing a pink dress to a wedding (IN FRANCE, SODDING GOLD TRADERS APLENTY, THE POTENTIAL FOR SNOOTINESS ABOUNDS).

aaaanyway... it's only after coming home i realise that those glasses pop a little against the pink. fine, i like pop. so without running the risk of looking too matchy-matchy i thought maybe a green clutch and some green OR gold shoes. however, the woman in JL (yes, i know) said that i HAD to get green shoes as gold not appropriate (even with humungous gold zipper and potential for green and gold accessorising at wrist).

aaaand, oh i don't know. i'm just blethering. do you like my dress?

have any of you seen any nice green shoes lately? i've got good pins, can carry off a heeled glad-type thing. did try these on today and they are MASSIVELY comfortable but ever so slightly mumsy in the heel imo.

any advice?

Aitch · 16/06/2010 22:55

i have a bob, right. dark bob.

green fashion spex.

pink dress.

decent legs, fake tanned to within inch of life obv, which being scottish should bring me up to near-human colouring.

aaaaand the feet?

i dunno.

the green clutch does look nice with the pink, i should say. it's a nice aggressive block of colour againts the pink.

i wish russel and brom's website wasn't so shit.

ShirleyKnot · 16/06/2010 22:58

wear the silver - christ alive.

Who is going to say "HER ZIP IS GOLDEN, AND YET! yet she wears silver shoes...She disgusts me. Let us remove ourselves from her presence"?

Er - a twat that's who.

Habbibu · 16/06/2010 23:00

Did you not read that the wedding is full of gold traders, shirley? They'll be affronted if they see silver.

Aitch · 16/06/2010 23:00

nay to thin heels if poss.
i like the ones that are too casual, gg, but obv not in that colour. not without belting dress and that ain't gonna happen. [apple]

i do remember someone being my dad but a blanked it out given that HE DIED WHEN I WAS BUT A COMPARATIVE NIPPER.

ShirleyKnot · 16/06/2010 23:02

I've read many a thing including "smelly old shoes which are still great are worth more in the hand than a 110 quid pair of cloppers that will be worn once and hurt the feet and GOD DISAPPROVES"

(in fairness, I just wrote that, but I read it back so...)

Aitch · 16/06/2010 23:02

lol shirley. it is v golden, the zip. it's a feature of the dress... dh says no to silver and he's quite the fashion maven. (more so than me, certainly).

anyway, who are you also?

OP posts:
Aitch · 16/06/2010 23:03

Ah - big golden zip = GOLDEN SHOES.

It's like the wizard of Oz on here tonight...You have had a million suggestions...I think you're waiting for one of us to say "Fuck it Aitch, wear a pair of crocs"

Aitch · 16/06/2010 23:08

oh no, no no no, i won't have it shirley, i'm not here to waste people's time, i promise. i have rigorously thanked every person who has offered suggestions, and there have been a few real contenders, none of which have been available in my size, all of which have been firmly bookmarked for further trawling round town.

Aitch · 16/06/2010 23:10

Habbibu · 16/06/2010 23:11

Pox, Aitch - you liked the flumps. I was just being led by that. I'm up for painting the damn zip now. Be grateful I didn't suugest these dainty wee things.

brimfull · 16/06/2010 23:13

gold

bit weirdy

these are all too spindly aren't they

get yourself noticed

ShirleyKnot · 16/06/2010 23:13

There are some great gold sandals on this thread. Honest I saw a couple of pairs (before I lost the will to live) which were utterly perfect for the dress.

I'm a sarcastic bitch. Ignore me.
