Credit to Everything for the lovely new title!

OP posts:
Fel1x · 26/04/2010 15:57

I did a little bit of shopping today..

Got this stripy vest
and these leopard print shoes
I also got a navy floral shirt dress from the teen section! cant see it on the website though. Is v short so will only wear with leggings

I got a couple of bright wooden beaded necklaces in Primark
And also a nude and white stripe tee in H&M

I am considering ordering this nude bf cardigan to wear over the stripe tee with skinny dark jeans... what do you all think? Too much nude??

Havent caught up on rest of thread since yesterday so will catch up and look at other links in a bit! (Ds2 just waking up)

DolceeBanana · 26/04/2010 16:02

Notyummy - btw Chateau Rigard does look fantastic; you are v good at picking a bit of luxury aren't you!!!? But do they do kids....? Looks not? As in more than one extremely well behaved one....?

DolceeBanana · 26/04/2010 16:06

Fel1x - liking the shoes; I am looking for leopard print ballets but can't personally do cheap shoes...just seem to fall apart so vow not to....anyone seen anything else matching description? I suppose french sole?

cahu · 26/04/2010 16:14

Hey girls, not posted for ages, just been lurking as trying not to spend........

Dolce, I have these and are comfortable and, I think, more sturdy than French Sole

Also worried about LTEC.

redshoesnoknickers · 26/04/2010 17:00

Hopefully LTEC is having computer/internet probs instead of being poorly??

DolceeBanana · 26/04/2010 17:28

Hi Cahu ! Thanks...they are just what I was looking for....so, have ordered them! Oh God, went a bit mad and ordered some lovely flat sandals too! Plus Birkenstocks for DD and some Converse for my son! AND !!!! Havaianas and Birkenstocks for DH! Well, he'll need them for the 'yurt' (I kid thee not!!!)...However, its a Yurt in what is euphemistically called a 'magical setting'....not far from Baileys (Herefordshire), allegedly - so good for a coffee and decent homewear shopping at least!

DolceeBanana · 26/04/2010 17:33

Let's hope so Red....you're probably right...

notyummy · 26/04/2010 17:50

dolcee - do they 'do ' kids?? It is kidtastic - and the best childcare we ever found. Look at this:

fab!

DolceeBanana · 26/04/2010 18:32

notyummy - hyperventilating at the thought!!!!! I mean 'luxury hotels for families' are never like this!!!! Thanks, will show Mr D...

Romanarama · 26/04/2010 18:40

Fel1x the nude cardigan is nice, but I have exactly the same thing from H&M for 1/2 the price. Well I think it's the same.

Dolce tell him to try a real holiday in Mongolia - truly amazing. It really is amazing - the whole country is like one big field the size of, dunno, Western Europe probably, with no cars, and just people riding around on horses wearing colourful robes like these guys for example (S&B, see ) and living in amazing yurts, but they're called ger not yurt. Fabulous. I'd love to go with the kids but there's no medical care to speak of and the food's gross, so not sure. I loved it - my fave holiday ever probably.

Romanarama · 26/04/2010 18:46

Have just checked out Rigaud. Seems like the right venue for our meet-up.

Romanarama · 26/04/2010 19:13

By the way, did anyone ever comment on these hasbeen-a-likes that ourladyofperpetualsupper linked to? I like them - I think I might like them more than hasbeens even and they're much cheaper. Whaddya think?

Fleecy · 26/04/2010 19:27

dolce I'm on playgroup duty Wednesday morning. Glad you mentioned hands - must remember hand cream! I find it sooooo dull, glad it's only once each term!

romana I prefer them, although I'm not a big fan of Hasbeens. But I actually quite like those ones and they look pretty comfy.

Today is our 7th wedding anniversary. But as DH is up to his eyes in accounts, the day has passed us by somewhat. So I had a friend over for an early dinner with the DC and it was very nice. DH and I will go out for dinner some other time when his work is a little less busy. 'Tis strange to think 7 years ago I was a tiny slip of a thing, size 6-8! We were the first of our circle to get married and we were only 24 and 25. I was looking at our honeymoon today, wishing we could go again... Happy memories!

notyummy · 26/04/2010 19:29

I agree roma - we could probably get a deal out of season!

traceybath · 26/04/2010 19:37

I like those shoes too Romana.

Fleecy - happy anniversary!

Fleecy · 26/04/2010 19:47

Ooh wouldn't that be fab! It looks lovely

What do you ladies think of this? I know it's viscose but I rather like it. I thought it would look good with cropped jeans, wedges or flats, a white vest and some wooden jewellery. And I've just found out they're doing 25% off from Wed which would make it £13.50.

Thanks Tracey!

notyummy · 26/04/2010 20:27

I like it fleecy.

DolceeBanana · 26/04/2010 20:31

Ooh ...I like those shoes too Roman...!

Actually he is the type to go for a back to basics yurt experience in Outer Mongolia!

He is a fan of 'experiences'...me, I'll have take the luxury every time thanks! Actually we have friends who do these holidays all the time....'you know, '...we sewiously travelled six miles up the Amazon, and made a camp from two Haka trees...its was sewiously good!!!' Love 'em...we do have a good laugh at their expense .... but they get their own back by insisting on inviting us around and showing us reels of footage of their hols.... or least they did...but I am an uncontrollable giggler , and they find it offputting when they show the 65th picture of local woman in tribal costume and I am wetting myself!!!

I am pathetically laughing to myself over the fact that my female friend (who is wonderful in every other way), rustles up a
Pavolva for my DH every time we see them, because she knows he loves it ! When in fact, he loathes it because she uses that awful squirty cream, and it makes him want to gag. But rather than offend, he eats it!!!! (He wouldn't eat it if I made it)...cue another bout of hysterical giggling from me, with her saying, 'what??....what are you laughing at?' Then the whole table erupting, with only my DH and I the wiser!!!!

Oh stop it, I digress, anyway, at least DH knows my penchance for a bit of luxe now, thankfully, and apart from the one occasion when he bought me a Samsonite hard case for my birthday .... he's come through mostly every other time!!! Awww...he's in Ireland so quaffing partaking of a glass of vino....supper can wait...

How are you Tracey?

Happy Anniversary Fleecy! Yes, take hand cream and ear plugs!

I'm sorry I seem to be waffling again.....

traceybath · 26/04/2010 20:40

Hi Dolcee! Much less grumpy here today thankfully.

Did lots of dull chores today but satisfying to get them ticked off.

blossoming · 26/04/2010 20:44

That full circle maxi is in the new issue of instyle that came this morning too, along with Chanel flip flops for £160. Oh come on, are we that stupid??

notyummy · 26/04/2010 20:47

That Full Circle maxi is everywhere - how will we stand a chanc?! T'will be on ebay for £100 shortly, mark my words...

eshermummy · 26/04/2010 20:51

Hello all
Just popping in quickly - another boring day of chores here too but am really pleased as finally got around to sorting the piles of charidee clothes and outgrown dd clothes that had been piling up in the spare bedroom.

Another one trying to rein in on the spending front for the next few weeks. I still have a few things as yet unworn from recent expeditions so don't really need anything.

Looking forward to pedi booked for Thursday night as will mean I can finally get my sandals/glads on . At the moment I am in Ash hi-tops so its jeans jeans jeans looking forward to wearing last year's harems once I can wear the appropriate footwear!!

Tracey - I saw this victorian blouse and thought of you .

mrsjuan · 26/04/2010 21:19

Hi everyone,
I haven't got any links or fashion talk but thought I'd share what I hope will be a one off low point in my parenting abilities:
As you know DD hasn't been very well and last night I heard her crying a bit so I went in to check on her. Saw that her eyes were closed to assumed she was just having a bit of a sleep whinge and decided to leave her to it rather than disturb her any more. (you can see where this is going can't you ?)
She carried on (not full on crying thank goodness) for a bit so I went to fetch her and brought her in with us, she settled down for a few more hours until it got light in the morning at which point I woke up to discover that her eyes were actually glued together with gunk and she couldn't actually open them.
I feel so bad for leaving her moaning when she must have been wondering what on earth was going on!

On the plus side she has been much brighter today and I'm hopeful that she'll be able to go to nursery tomorrow.

Any word from cakey? My AWW cake book arrived from amazon and I need words with her - how can anything involving slicing strips from a cake and cocktail sticks and edible glitter be described as 'so easy'
Seriously - a bit worried now

Fleecy · 26/04/2010 21:38

Oh MrsJ - we've all had our moments! I thought DD was just wingeing once and she'd been sick all over the sheets

Glad she seems to be on the mend though.

DolceeBanana · 26/04/2010 21:53

Poor you and poor little babyJ! You weren't to know...so dont blame yourself! Sounds like she's on the road to recovery now...and rest assured, if she'd been really upset, you would have known about it!
