Credit to Everything for the lovely new title!

Yes, it was a sobering experience everything I have managed to convince myself it was the jeans fault, not my legs!

Better go to bed, am minding my friends toddler tomorrow and need my wits about me. I had forgotten how you just can't take your eyes off 18mth olds with disaster of some sort ensuing. She is super cute though so all is forgiven.

Night all

CHOOGIRL · 25/04/2010 23:08

Esher £38 is minx only - you need to pay extra for Pedi.

Right going to try and go for a run before work tomorrow which means 5.45 get up.

Night all.

Fleecy · 25/04/2010 23:29

Evening all (now there's nobody left because you're all in bed)

Busy day here seeing DH's family this morning, dropped DH and DC off home then went on to meet a couple of friends for a lovely lunch. Came home and made roast here then put DC to bed and settled down with a nice big glass of red wine. Lost 2lb last week - not sure that's going to happen again at this rate!

How long does the minxing last? Am wondering if it's a good bet before holiday?

5.45am? Yikes! That's dedication choo

Glad to hear you had fun even if it wasn't all to your liking romana verity surely it was indeed the jeans at fault. I think coloured skinnies can be very unflattering, even on slender women - tho not always the case, I hasten to add! I had a pair of purpley ones a few winters ago and I never felt quite right in them so hardly ever wore them.

I have decided I need a beige trench (currently have a darker, slightly metallic evening trench) and managed to get a Gap one for £14.50 inc. postage on eBay tonight. Burberry it ain't but have spent far too much of late so think this will fit the bill nicely for now. Happy days!

notyummy · 26/04/2010 08:49

Morning all! At work today, wearing my new purchase I linked to earlier new top with linen suit, wedges and bare legs for the first time this year at work!

Hope baby jaun is feeling better.

ltec - let us know how you are when you get the chance please.

Fingers crossed for bunjies.

Have a great day.

hellsbelles · 26/04/2010 09:54

Nice top NY

good luck from here too bunjies

bunnymother · 26/04/2010 11:03

Bunjies - good luck!

Roma - thanks for your comments on Disney. I wasn't keen anyway, but now DH and I are convinced its a no go for us.

Who linked to the Chateau Rigard? notyummy? Looks wonderful!!

Cakey - am also quite worried, and hope you are OK.

Bugger, DD waking...

notyummy · 26/04/2010 11:17

Yep, twas me with the Chateau link. Aah, what great holidays....

traceybath · 26/04/2010 11:20

On the subject of holidays - we did center parcs when ds1 was about 6 months.

Lets just say we left a day early - definitely not my thing.

notyummy · 26/04/2010 11:23

In fact, DH and I are in some of the photos on the Chateau's website, I've just realised! Perhaps I should charge them some sort of fee...

redshoesnoknickers · 26/04/2010 11:38

Oh Oh! My Asos order came and I'm keeping all 3 dresses

The stripy full circle maxi is gorg! Just the right length and clings the right amount to be really flattering

The orange FC vest dress is a fab colour and looks good but think I will need to buy nude colour pants to wear with it to avoid them showing through (got nude bra on and that looks fine with it so not too see through iyswim)

The Asos blue dress will need some time spent to get it to sit just right as there are loads of drawstring bits you have to adjust for the gathered drop waist bit but I did a quick botch job and it looked OK so with a bit of effort and checking the pic on the website I reckon I will make it work!

How exciting! I love it when things you buy online live up to expectations!

blossoming · 26/04/2010 11:42

What shampoo do you use? I recently ran out of brilliant brunette and used up an old bottle of herbal essences. Now I'm back to bb my hair's gone weird and static. It's not coloured or treated in any way and I wash it every day. Maybe I need a really mild shampoo.

Re holidays, we get a premier mobile home with eurocamp on the cote d'azur every year and we love it.

bunnymother · 26/04/2010 11:53

Well done on the shopping, Red! Blossoming - I use John Freida blonde hair shampoo. Find it quite good. I have quite liked using baby shampoo when on hols and need to wash it every day.

Tracey - hmm, not sure that Centre Parcs thing would be a hit with me either.

MM - forgot to respond to your pooh situation. General consensus (poor DH gets the "highlights" from this thread most days) is that your DH should have cleaned that bedding up. Bet that would be the last time he puts DD down for a nap sans nappy. I would have been spitting the proverbial chips!

Everything - sorry no nice treats from your DH's trip. Perhaps just buy yourself something or do something just for you. My DH last bought me flowers when I had DD. None before that for ages . So, now I just buy them myself. Admittedly from M&S, but it keeps me happy. And I have to be quite clear when other things need to be purchased (ie had to tell DH I DID expect a Christmas present. It didn't need to be expensive or hard to get, but I wanted something). It doesn't really bother me, but if I want a present I have to speak up.

Can report that the H&M slim leg stone trousers worked v well in the playground and sand pit yesterday. They are almost like skinnny trousers, and I have chicken legs, so if that sounds like your thing, perhaps worth a try.

blossoming · 26/04/2010 12:21

Might try baby shampoo tomorrow. Will I smell like a baby's (clean) bottom?

bunnymother · 26/04/2010 12:39

Not sure, Blossoming, but if strangers come up to you and coo and try to pinch your cheeks and kiss your hands...

AllBuggiedOut · 26/04/2010 12:56

Am excited about the full circle maxi red - what size did you get? Am a 10-12 and wondering if I could get away with it...

hellsbelles · 26/04/2010 13:12

blossoming - I use the kerestise stuff (SP?) - that my hairdresser forces me to get and when I veer from it I do notice a difference.

Yes Red - tell us the full scoop - will a size 12 get away with the dress?

redshoesnoknickers · 26/04/2010 13:15

Buggied I am 10-12 and got 12 (I usually go for 12s to be sure no horrid ribbed stretched fabric over my ample boson lol)

Tis lovely lovely lovely imo. And foot skimming length without shoes on me (5ft 8). The sleeves are a little loose in style which somehow seems to balance your hips and the way the stripes change is forgiving on a bit of mummy tummy flab

Humm, very tempted red - is it casual enough for everyday? Would a 39 year old look mutton-y in it in the park?

redshoesnoknickers · 26/04/2010 13:34

Def a day dress - fine for the school run/park with flat sandals, cropped denim jacket or for a BBQ/lunch out/shopping etc with wedges and chunky bangles.

I think i will get loads of wear out of it and no, not at all mutton!!

redshoesnoknickers · 26/04/2010 13:37

And if you do want it i'd go for it now - twas in the dreaded DM at the weekend and has already sold out in a size 10.

AllBuggiedOut · 26/04/2010 14:25

Just ordered it, thanks red! It's really odd, though. That dress doesn't come up on a search for either Full Circle or maxi dress when I look for it on Asos. I thought I was going mad a few weeks back when I was sure I'd seen it somewhere, but could only find it in the short version or the thin striped maxi. It is clearly in some sort of twilight zone

redshoesnoknickers · 26/04/2010 15:06

LOL buggied we will be stripy twins!

DolceeBanana · 26/04/2010 15:54

Quick hi ! Uhhhhhh....have done 'playgroup duty' this am....they attend one morning a week, mainly so they can see their village friends...am absolutley knackered! Having two pre-schoolers and baby in tow, and been occupied in cleaning and degunking and changing my own and many other snotty nosed kids, I need a rest!!! Not to mention, changing my DD 3 times, as she wet herself constantly...none of the leaders asked her/forced her onto the potty(!), and Mummy was chained to the kitchen sink...ooh my hands are in an awful state!

But as the Leader said when I left and offered to buy all the frigging fruit and veg and biscuits all term for snack time, if I'd be let off duty: 'It's more for your children really, to see Mummy here helping, and watching what they do!'....Okay! Point taken!!! Bring on the guilt! But I actually didn't get to see much of my kids, apart from changing my DDs knickers that is! !!!!!

Find Nursery much more civilised straightforward and no duty!!!! Yee---ha!!!

Right, off to feed baby, then trip to PO and get supper organised. DH away so tonight vill run viz military precision !!!!

DolceeBanana · 26/04/2010 15:56

Where is da CAKE!!!! Hope you are not too poorly lovie....we are (as you can see) pining- looking for you!!!!
