Thanks for link hanaflower, I think according to that I would be more winter but like you say there are still quite a few dubious ones in there! I definitely look much better in pink than orange.

LTEC! Get back to your holiday hope you are having a lovely time, still sufficiently W&A to check in, I love it!

hellsbelles · 05/04/2010 19:20

I have not hope of catching up!

But the 2 mins I have been able to do links! Zembo - such a shame about the coat. Esher - so glad the muted is a success (abeilt a muted one with DH!) - I thought it looked beautiful.

Party bags! Fear not. There are tons of online 'party bag' sites so if you want to do a fussy one with lots in you can just do it the W&A way! But a friend (and I recently followed suit) has changed tack and now get's each child one good thing (like a nice book) and a sweet treat - which I think is a good option.

Vinu - love, love the breton but agree it isn't 'cheap' (though certainly chic!).

Tracey - I have the bee (not sure if it is the baby or normal as I got it in a shop) and it's fab!

Vin - love love the breton - perhaps it'll go in the sale in the summer?

Hells - are you selfridging tomorrow? Have a wonderful time - do they give you champagne - that would certainly loosen DH's clasp on his credit card.

LTEC - hello! Haven't got the bee yet - think I'll ask for it for my birthday in august - I am still sans cards so no spending until they arrive [drums fingers impatiently].

Party bags - don't bother with much - all the dc's are interested in is the sweets in my experience.

Esher - glad the muted is a keeper - it does look gorgeous.

Fel1x · 05/04/2010 19:55

Just popping in quickly!
Hope you've all had a lovely easter weekend.
DH is off for a week of working away tomorrow morning (at 3AM!!) so will be a busy week for me with the DCs off nursery I think!

Speaking of the book people - I just got my DSs a few books from there (we love books!) and have come across the most amazing book. DS1 loves it and its SO intricate and cleverly made its well worth getting.
Its this one

Fel1x · 05/04/2010 20:04

Oh and also wanted to mention that when my landsend order arrived I got a voucher in with it for 10 off a 40 pound order plus free postage when you order anything, so if anyone wants to use it then you just key in code 84354078-fd40
Its one use only, so grab it quick!

Zembo · 05/04/2010 20:14

Thanks for the book rec Fel1x my dd has been learning about space at nursery so will look out for it. Hope someone benefits from your code, I haven't got £40 worth of books that I want at the moment, we've got too many already.

Highlight of my day was having my eyebrows threaded, always makes me feel fab

Esher that muted bag is gorgeous, I'd keep it.

notyummy · 05/04/2010 20:34

Thanks for the party bag idea hana. I actually bought a Charlie and Lola set of books from the Book People in their January sale with that sort of plan in mind - great minds think alike!

Fel1x Thanks for the link - it looks great. We got a Peter Rabbit and Alice in Wonderland pop up books from thw Book People and dd loves both. The Alice one in particular has the most amazing detail and has really wowed most people who have seen it:

here

Fel1x · 05/04/2010 21:20

The Alice one looks great too. Will keep my eye open for that!

RE; money off code - sorry I was clear as mud!! Its not for the books (was just moving from one topic to another rather randomly!) its for landsend where I ordered some coats from last week!
Hope its of some use to someone anyway

bunnymother · 05/04/2010 21:22

Bonsoir! Just returned from a lovely time in Paris. So enjoyed it, and its more child friendly in Paris than I thought it would be. Little Delie loved all the little playgrounds dotted around. I didn't buy much, but I did manage to buy about 10 tops (from Z Enfant (French H&M/Zara for children?), website is here) and a couple of hand puppets (from Le Bon Marche - really fun children's floor w great toys and beautiful clothes), all for Delie. There was another place that was closed on Sunday that I really recommend if you have DCs who are into animals - Deyrolle on Rue de Bac in St Germain. The most incredible array of stuffed animals (think taxidermy, not toys!!).

Am pages and pages behind, but wanted to quickly post while DH in the shower...

Cakey - ha ha, got the Lara Bingle reference re "where the bloody hell are you". Good retort to Shouty Mum at nursery.

Hana - those shoes and dress are beautiful! MM - my condolences, what a terrible time you have had.

monkeysmama · 05/04/2010 21:25

Hello girls

Notyummy we have been to neat all the HduVs but not the Chelmsford one. Too near dp's sis for me. Have you been to the Henley one?

Can someone link to the animal print maxi?

Dd's not sleeping again so am knackered and too tired to post more but big wave to everyone.

monkeysmama · 05/04/2010 21:30

Hey Bunny thought of you in Paris over the weekend. I loved it when I went with dd, mum & sis a few months ago. Glad you had fun and shopped wisely and avidly.

Thanks for your kind words. As dd says when she wakes up every morning at 5 "birdies singing loudly mama" - I am starting to see the sunshine and hear the birdies singing again .

Fel1x · 05/04/2010 21:47

Welcome back bunny, glad you had a lovely time We have old friends who live in Paris that we havent seen for a long time, I'd love to take the DCs there for a visit one day.
and glad that things are starting to look a little brighter for you as well MM. Hopefully you will get some sleep tonight and feel brighter still tomorrow

OllieWollieWoo · 05/04/2010 21:48

MM - beautiful words - pleased you are feeling that way.

notyummy · 05/04/2010 22:31

DolceeBanana · 06/04/2010 09:21

Hello girls!

Well esher funnily enough old gal - have the Kew trench on order myself!!! Spooky or what! Love the Burberry Vin, but personally price offputting (yeah I know classic etc....but think Kew have got it right with cut)...Love the Moschino Breton top btw!!!

Notyummy - lucky you with the packing/highly organised DH!!! Mine is quite organised generally (Virgo(-sigh), but resilient to organising himself for holidays so always last minute scramble!!! I am a Leo,(virgo cusp!!!yikes) and love planning wardrobe for weeks!!!!!! What star signs are you then girls?

Tracey, when's your birthday in Aug? Mines 22nd...

Also, watching Relocation, Relocation last night and the woman on it had on a lovely Breton top with a boaty/cowlish sort of neck...anyone know where that was from? Looked nice....How sad am I?

How's the weather Cakey?

traceybath · 06/04/2010 11:54

Morning.

Dolcee - I'm the 20th of August

Hasbeens arrived this morning and thankfully I love them as would have been a palaver to return them.

All 3 dc's up in the night so pretty exhausted here today.

Hells - hope you're having fun in Selfridges.

notyummy · 06/04/2010 11:59

Sorry to hear about your night Tracey. Glad the hasbeens fit though!

I am an Aquarius with a January birthday.

Did most of the packing yesterday for the break. At work just now leaving DH at home to pack the last bits and pieces, plus do a wash and probably some ironing.

Got a few things arriving (inc the Ponterosa Phase Eight dress that everyone raved about!) so will have a trying on session. I suspect most of it will be going back as I am determined to be WISE; having had a wardrobe clear out and relected that I have a lot of nice stuff I don't wear, I am now actively trying to choose things that haven't seen the light of day in months!

monkeysmama · 06/04/2010 12:07

I can sympathise Tracey. Dd was up 6 times .

I'm an August girl too. 13th.

Just organising dd's 2nd birthday party. 70 people in a park . Entertainer for the kids, beer for the grown ups. What can go wrong .

Has anyone seen any nice dresses for weddings? Have one in June at Claridges and another in September. I am thinking about a plain ish dress and killer shoes. I'm a 12, 34F, long browny blonde hair, green eyes, good legs and bum, bad tummy, will have tan.

Right, off to post office with eBay stuff. I hate this bit!

notyummy · 06/04/2010 12:16

mm - how tall? Do you do long at all?

monkeysmama · 06/04/2010 12:24

Long not a problem though I tend to go shorter as my legs are the only part of me that has survived pg in good nick! I'm about 5"7.

AllBuggiedOut · 06/04/2010 14:38

Sorry if this has been done already - but did you ladies with hasbeens go up a size? About to order from Asos and just spotted that they advise going a size larger

notyummy · 06/04/2010 14:42

mm for the weddings:

this Someone on this thread has it (sorry, can't remember who! ) and I thought it was foxy

I know you said plain - but I couldn't resist this!

smart

green

Sorry- doin't ask about colour or price, so may be well off base here!

traceybath · 06/04/2010 15:02

Allbuggiedout - on the hasbeens website they say they come up big I'm sure.

I'm a 35.5 and got a 35 and they're perfect.
