Cakey can only see Jager link as on iPhone but will
look later. I like Reiss so expect to like what you've suggested. Thank you. I really appreciate you looming and will make me feel goo knowing a (virtual) friend suggested it.

Do you & Tracey really know each other?! How funny. My only interest is to insist that any Arsenal fan is ribbed mercilessly about last night's game .

Thanks for the nie comments. Am ok. Sadly enough of is on here to know that sometimes it's just harder. I'll get a grip in a few days.

Anyway. Gotta run but Cakey will be giving my star an extra cuddle in the morning and will blow a kiss to
my tatooed one too.. Celebrate love well.

monkeysmama · 15/04/2010 21:12

Looking, good, nice. Damn.

monkeysmama · 15/04/2010 21:19

Last post from me I promised but had to mention it as I only just noticed and it made me smile.

I have a friend in Oz who sends what she calls "care packages" every now and then. One arrived yesterday and now dd is fast asleep wearing Bonds pjs with stars all over them.

monkeysmama · 15/04/2010 21:24

Me again. Just seen the dresses and love the third one. It is so not what I'd usually go for but am going to go to Canary Wharf at weekend and try it on. I love love it. I think with a tan, loose hair but not overly styled and a simple clutch (colour?) and the shoes?

traceybath · 15/04/2010 21:31

Do agree MM - that third dress is gorgeous - I love that sort of 20's style.

Is anyone going to see the Grace exhibion at the V&A?

eshermummy · 15/04/2010 21:48

MM - sorry to hear you are finding it tough going at the mo.
I can't see the reiss links for some reason but can imagine reiss shapes would work well with those shoes. I also had a look at whistles as think there were a couple of dresses there that would also look good - dressy but edgy. Can't link because whistles site is so annoying.

Cake - hope you have a lovely day tomorrow. I am with whoever said your days out always make me feel a bit as I only have 2 dc's and neither is a baby now and yet I still balk at the idea of taking them practically anywhere on my own . I think I am just intrinsically lazy.

Roman - love the pics of your italian home and your kids are beautiful . I have to say you do look slightly familiar - you weren't at Law school circa 1995 were you?

monkeysmama · 15/04/2010 21:56

I can't stay away tonight. I'm watching the big debate and doing everything I can to not focus on it.

This arrived today. I'd forgotten I ordered it. Is it foul?

I am def going to the Grace exhibition. She was superb, always looked perfect.

Tired...

bunnymother · 16/04/2010 08:06

MM - think that whether the Next dress is nice will depend v much on how the colour and fabric look in RL. The shape is certainly great - v flattering, and I adore green.

Everything - oh God, 2 weekends without your DH? How annoying/tiring, esp w your parents being so judgey. At least you have a beautiful hat purchase to console yourself with...

DH was out last night and will be out again tonight, and Delie is like Sonic the Hedgehog so think I will just fall on the couch tonight and watch a French movie and eat something light. My idea of bliss!

CHOOGIRL · 16/04/2010 08:06

As I predicted ladies site has crashed!

Ltec. Thinking of you and Star today.

bunnymother · 16/04/2010 08:11

Cakey - hope you have a lovely day w your gorgeous family.

traceybath · 16/04/2010 08:15

Yeay - managed to get a dress on the outnet site.

Its an Alice Temperley silk feather dress - should have been £585!

Anyone else had any joy?

traceybath · 16/04/2010 08:17

LTEC - thinking of you today - the sun is shining and hope you have a lovely day.

CHOOGIRL · 16/04/2010 08:18
Envy
MarshaBrady · 16/04/2010 08:21

Tracey Well Done!!!
Site has crashed, poohbar.

Fel1x · 16/04/2010 08:27

LTEC - think of you today. Hope you and the family all have a lovely day out in memory of your Star.

I am busy packing for a weekend away at a wedding. DCs are going to stay with SIL (never been to stay with her before and DS2 is a real Mummys boy, could be a disaster!! eek)
I am wearing a navy asos strapless puffball style dress with plum coloured tights and these shoes in patent and a chunky purple and gold necklace. Hope it all looks ok together and suitable for a wedding!

Tracey, great news on your sale dress, did you get it for a pound?

bunnymother · 16/04/2010 08:29

Tracey - to press the bruise, can you post a link to the dress? So I have a visual to sob to...

mrsjuan · 16/04/2010 08:56

Well done Tracey! Good luck everyone else.

Hope you have a lovely day today LTEC - will be thinking of you and your family

Bunny - I think our DDs are cut from the same cloth! Phoebe is an absolute whirlwind - lots of fun but exhausting. Hope you have a relaxing evening.

Grace Kelly exhibition looks great.

Am in denial about the fact that I am going back to work in 4 days so still haven't bought any shoes

vinauchocolat · 16/04/2010 09:16

Wow I've been up since 4am with a whingey teething baby but didn't sign up to the outnet sale- sigh- Tracey am v impressed with your outnet agility!

LTEC, I hope you and your family have a nice peaceful day today.

Soo.. I ordered the asos silk blazer, but it was huge and had the dual effect of making me look like Margaret Beckett so I'm getting a smaller size instead Not sure it is a wise purchase with a small baby who vomits after feeds, though!

The JL order that I sent back (a dress to the tune of nearly £200) has still not arrived at their depot. So bloody Royal Mail have indeed pilfered it, which is not cool. AND I have lost my receipt for postage- somehow, it's not in the bin (yes I looked) or the recycling, so I have precisely no idea what to do, I think I will have to write it off [grr] am not very impressed with JL who sent me a snotty email, royal mail who nicked it, or myself, who clearly should have not trusted royal mail or lost her receipt!

OK rant over..

damn net a porter are so clever they keep sending me emails of things they know I will want to buy! aaaaaahhhh...

On a good news front, I discovered a long lost 3/4 trench coat in my wardrobe which I forgot I ever bought, in the shade I liked (it's sad when you forget you own stuff) which had an outing yesterday alongside an H&M breton striped t-shirt from last year and pink bag.. totally wise, no lanvin in sight

mrsjuan I was meant to go back to work soon I have since pushed the date back due to lack of childcare..I had a panicked moment so feel your pain.. 4 days gives you the whole weekend, though..?

vinauchocolat · 16/04/2010 09:25

Roman your Italian life looks wonderful ! It's uplifting just looking at your pictures. I am so fed up of London, tbh, all I hear at night is people shouting on the street and traffic and the occasional drunken student screaming then throwing glasses/throwing up. Nice. To be fair it has some lovely bits but I mostly hate the climate. I lived in Italy and some other countries when I was younger and I always said I would never 'settle' in England, but of course having LOs and jobs sort of ties you down, and a DP who is much older and has to be in the UK. But anyway, one day I shall go back to my roots and leave the country! Am working on a website at present and if I can stop messing it up then once it's up and running it would be easier to buy lots of lanvin stuff every week live abroad

vinauchocolat · 16/04/2010 09:30

MM- third reiss dress is stunning- do you live near C.Wharf?

Green dress is lovely. I think it looks flattering and the colour is nice, I would look comedically bad in it but with a slight tan and an ounce of style it's a winner.

I think you should do the A&W meet up at the Grace Kelly exhibition she was so classically well put together all of the time, stunning

hellsbelles · 16/04/2010 09:39

just dropping in to say I'm thinking of you Cakey and your little brood. Seems like Star has organised beautiful weather for you all.

Tracey

traceybath · 16/04/2010 10:47

Its this dress.

Lets hope it arrives, it fits and looks nice.

But if not - I shall just pop onto ebay.

VerityBrulee · 16/04/2010 10:57

Well done Tracey can't wait to see the dress!

LTEC hope you are having a lovely, sunny day

Roman sooo of your lovely house, hope your NY trip can go ahead with all the volcano delays.

No sign of my Lanvin shoes, I assume they are stuck at some airport somewhere. That's the trouble with ebay, the waiting. I'll appreciate them all the more when they get here. Vin I think you and I share a love of Lanvin I love those drapey dresses! Have you seen my Lanvin look-a-like, it's reduced in these colours

Some of the dresses linked to are gorgeous. I took a chance on the H&M garden dress, a mistake as it turns out, it makes me look pregnant - with triplets! Love the print though. The funny thing is that giving up wheat has done my figure the world of good, I'm back to an 8 which I haven't been since I was a student. It's been fairly painless too, although I have to do a lot more baking which can be a bit time consuming.

MM sorry you are having such a hard time at the moment, I hope life seems brighter soon.

Hope you all have a sunny weekend. Off to blitz the house, dc all having friends over after school, and some mums can be sooo judgy at collection time. I remember one time when a mum said to me, after I had entertained 7 or 8 children for the afternoon " I love the way you are so relaxed about housework"
