Wonder how quickly we'll fill this one?

OP posts:
LetThemEatCake · 27/03/2010 22:19

buggied I love that skirt. Looks fabulous

Hello whelk - lurk no more!

Choo good news on the VM - and the AMQ is all sorted, no probs there at all. Of course CLs are a necessary business expense!! Need you ask??

Have just blogged if anyone fancies some late night waffle

Zembo · 28/03/2010 07:05

Love your blog LTEC - also love the mustard coloured scarf (?)you've added to your latest post - what is it and more importantly where can one purchase it? Talking of zebra print, I bought this ASOS nautical cardigan recently and the stripes are def zebra like -looks really flaterring on.

Durint the same shop I also invested in the vera moda top and it looks fine even on my shorty frame. I don't own the rats so now want some leggings to go with them. Anyone able to recommend any?

Another recent purchase has been this cheap and chearful attempt and doing nude colours but as a print

Also still hankering after some hasbeens - just waiting for a few more UK shops to get them in.

Hope you all remembered its officially the start of british summertime

bodsmum · 28/03/2010 08:39

LetThemEatCake · 28/03/2010 09:13

Would you (and anyone else) do me a favour - post any questions/ comments on the blog page itself? that would help a lot
thanks a million

blossoming · 28/03/2010 09:21

Shhh, my head hurts....

Whelk, pleased to help. The m&s coat is silky and shiny. I'm already wearing it over lots of layers and a big scarf. (It's quite thin). Have worn it in the rain, but not a downpour. I really like it and have had lots of compliments.

Dh loved the dress and jegging combo.

hellsbelles · 28/03/2010 09:37

morning all,

Bodsmum - huge huge congratulations and I think we should all buy an outfit to celebrate the first thread baby

MM - sorry that you are still going through teh sadness but lovely to have you back here.

LTEC - how is DD? Has the bug cleared up.

I'm very envious to hear of all this RL shopping going on! I never seem to manage it. In fact I was amazed that DH offered to take DS to a party today...only to discover it was round the corner from selfridges....so I suspect there is an ulterior motive! Cheeky monkey muttered something about going to the national potrait gallery while the party is on (it's a drop off) but I doubt it very much. I notice he is not so willing to do the parties that take place in local bowling centres.

Yesterday went suprisingly well and my gorgeous cousins spent much of the day cuddling and cooing DD so it felt easy peasy.

My Rick Owens dress got many compliments. DH loves it.

Allbuggied I love both your links. I'm very tempted by the fat face dress as it looks like a really easy dress to wear. Might take advantage while there is a code (thanks for the tip off).

And Zembo - that cardigan is fab.

I have missed so many of the other links but trying to read this and wrap presents at the same time....and I'm rubbish at multitasking. I'll catch up later.

traceybath · 28/03/2010 10:10

LTEC - you can't beat st tropez for fake tanning imo - the day stuff is very good. I'm also wanting some Prtty Peaushun Skin Tight Body Lotion which got a good write up in the times yesterday but can't seem to find an online stockist.

MM - glad to see you back. I like all your links. Saw a stunning girl wearing the next jacket with white jeans and hair in a ponytail and big sunnies - she looked tres chic.

Allbuggied - think I may also purchase that dress and just get it taken up if too long. Looks perfect school run dress .

Sorry I've been quite grumpy recently - this weather and sleep deprivation getting me down a bit and also being too grumpy with DH. But big chat last night to clear the air.

Am also going to start running pre school run in the mornings to try and give me some energy.

Hells - glad you had a good day! Which Rick dress did you wear?

Esher - are you still on holiday??

Bods - I liked the pink camel scarf but never ordered it as decided it was too big.

MarshaBrady · 28/03/2010 10:39

Huge congratulations bodsmum. Gosh I love babies, so beautiful.

Ds1's party was excellent, frantic and have been in the tunnel of preparation for days. It was absolute mayhem and the children were gorgeous.

Plus just got a whole vouchers from Liberty for spending so much money there. Hello ss10!

Whelk · 28/03/2010 10:41

Blossoming- Thank you. Those were just the words I wanted to hear! Silky and shiny sounds perfect! Right I'm off to order it.

OurLadyOfPerpetualSupper · 28/03/2010 11:06

Anyone thinking of placing a Fatface order: the 20% code is SU10AF until the end of today.

blossoming · 28/03/2010 14:16

20 percent extra off at theoutnet.com with 'instyleextra20' at checkout.

Mil has bought paints and Easter eggs.

I have made a big roast and apple crumble.

traceybath · 28/03/2010 16:06

Marsha - glad the party went well. And liberty vouchers - any ideas as to what you're going to purchase??

Blossoming - sounds like a lovely lunch - hope in-law visit going ok.

OurLadyOfPerpetualSupper · 28/03/2010 17:51

< Testing my linking skills >
I came across this recently.

It's quite bargainous, and maybe good as a throw-on for this time of year (although that double-breasted shape is too manly for me and makes me look like a brick).

AllBuggiedOut · 28/03/2010 17:58

That trench looks great, OLOPS, but have bought enough coats recently... Popped into town to buy the Fat Face dress to avoid P&P, and managed to leave with a denim jacket too. Very nice slim fit on the arms.

MarshaBrady · 28/03/2010 18:10

Thanks Tracey .

Not sure yet, I don't really like their website so have to go in to have a look. I am getting my hair highlighted at Aveda next week, (finally!! I cannot wait!) and may go and have a look around afterwards.

Last time I went a very good looking man held open the doors with his foot and hand, he sort of contorted into quite a funny shape to do so as I had the bugaboo at the time. It was fleeting but it made me smile for rest of the walk down Regent's Street.

I didn't do the doggy cake in the end, it was hard work keeping a normal gooey chocolate and ganache one in good shape!

LetThemEatCake · 28/03/2010 20:26

thanks hells - she's all better. Glad you had a good day yesterday.

tracey - I did wonder whether you were okay. Glad you're on the up. Running a good idea. Hope the nights improve soon

where is that esher???

blossoming · 28/03/2010 20:29

Phew, I've survived.
Have been on best behaviour as dh and I are having a really lovely, close weekend. Haven't been out and got drunk together for years.
I blame the Pixies for making me misty eyed and remembering how we used to be way back.
I'm so glad we have history together.
Hope everyone else had nice weekends.

Zembo · 28/03/2010 20:57

LTEC thanks for the v prompt reply to my comment on your blog - I fear I've posted using my real name and can't seem to change it - hey ho never mind!

Bodsmum - yes I am asian and many congrats! I'm trying to persuade DH that we 'need' a third bambino to complete our family - he's having none of it but I'm not giving up yet

eshermummy · 28/03/2010 21:13

hello all, just popping in quickly this evening as flew back in from hols late last night.

Hols were fab - it's our third time at same place so I knew it was going to be lovely and it was . DD's had a lovely time, weather was superb - 28-30 degrees and blazing sunshine. Cooked myself to a cinder and am quite tanned although looks a bit strange in the still wintery light of the UK!!

Been unpacking cases and loading and unloading washing machine like a loon today, plus big supermarket shop this arvo.

On the down side - have put 3-4 lbs on on hols so feeling a tad porky and will have to be good to get it back off again . Just scoffed a creme egg so not exactly going to plan.....

Have had a quick scan back but as ever there is way too much to get to grips with.....been clicking avidly on all the links but can't remember who was linking to what. when ,where etc

On the further down side, returned to find a really rather large cc bill awaiting - have overspent last month so need to exercise a bit more restraint this month - plus, most of my most recent purchases have not even been worn yet so am going to try and be super-wise and super-avid and attempt to plug holes in wardrobe taht will allow me to wear some of the things as yet unworn.

Read a few magazines whilst away and kept seeing things that I thought one of you would like so will try and do a big post with links to all the bits I have seen recently.

Fleecy · 28/03/2010 21:53

Welcome back esher zembo I would also like number three but DH not convinced. However, I don't want to do anything about it until after hols in Sept so I have time to persuade him. I was wavering but I figured I might regret not going for a third but am unlikely to regret having another.

Can I just boast about my lovely DH for a minute? I've been feeling under the weather the last few days with blocked sinuses causing a horrid thumping headache. DH went out last night and forgot the clocks went forward so while he thought he was coming back at 3.30, he actually got home at half four this morning! But because I was feeling so rough, he still got up this morning and got the kids up, brought me tea and toast in bed, then made a fab roast this evening. He is wonderful (please forget this if I moan about him in the future though, obviously!).

CHOOGIRL · 28/03/2010 21:53

Welcome back Esher. Where did you go? Need inspiration for a last minute Easter break.

eshermummy · 28/03/2010 22:18

We stayed here. Utterly fab and I highly recommend.

On another note, before I went away, this was featured in loads of magazines but not yet available. Now it's sold out online - anyone seen or tried one on irl? Do you think there will still be any instore or has there been too much press coverage and they're all on ebay??

CHOOGIRL · 28/03/2010 22:22

OMG That is where I have been looking. BA are doing great deals atm. Tempted Tempted....

eshermummy · 28/03/2010 22:43

If you could go and miss the peak easter time would be best - think hotel was at 100% capacity as we were leaving yesterday, apparently they were expecting 60 kids per day in the kids club which was already fully booked for the next week . We have only ever been when it's been more like 50-75% occupancy and it's a lot more chilled.
Tis a great resort though........

LetThemEatCake · 28/03/2010 23:17

Welcome back esher, have missed you lots!

I linked to that leather top aaaages ago when your search for the elusive Gap leather shirt was proving fruitless!! Haven't seen in RL though...
