well sheesh, no one ever said that I don't make my bed!! but surely smoothing down the duvet - which is more correctly called a DOONA I'll have you know - well, in Australia anyway - with the flat of my hand is sufficient for its comfort and appearance??

And dh fortunately does not wear shirts for work , or at all really!!

hana am so pleased you like the LKs!! result!!

love the silver gladiators! would look good with my theory skirt, non?

That is lovely and my brother is getting married soon so will keep an eye on that one.

DolceeBanana · 05/02/2010 21:58

'Smoothings' not ironing though is it - and yes the glads would look great with that gorgeous skirt!

Oh you must get 'both'...you know you want to - oh okay, go for the blackcurrant....

Like the dress Carciofi!

DolceeBanana · 05/02/2010 22:01

Anyway, healthy eatings gone out the window - I must get some Rats to keep me in shape ... too drunk knackered to make pasta, so shamefully ate about 40 pringles; two pieces of toast slathered with peanut butter and another glass of Sancerre! Bloody Hell!

Glad you like the new name Carciofi! Took me all of three hours 5 mins to think of it!

DolceeBanana · 05/02/2010 22:03

Oh I finally get how to do this : threehours--

DolceeBanana · 05/02/2010 22:04

No, three hours?????????????

hellsbelles · 05/02/2010 22:06

Oi Cake - enough of the downer on the black Brora - it does look nice on thank you very much but I have to admit I am now very jealous of the Pure one.

Interesting the Asos nude colour suited ? I must take another look at nudes! Maybe the 'colour me beautiful' guru was wrong [shock[

Thanks Hana - and I love those LK's - beautiful - the perfect nude shade.

And the silver gladiators are perfect Dolce. I think I need them.

I'm now forcing myself not to buy any more wintery stuff. It actually felt relatively spring like today which helped my resolve.

O.k...better go do a little bit more party prep...I wonder if I should shock the islington mums and dads with my black rats t/m at DS's party (he's 7). No, perhaps not - they would all have heart attack.

Hi all

As Friday night is cocktail night in our house, am sipping an apple martini (reminds me of the Campbell Apartment in NYC) and thinking about shopping.

LTEC - get the cashmere - you'd wear it forever and it is lovely. Blackcurrent definately. Cool skirt and would be great with the navy and the gladiators.

Have to say the gladiators look quite practical to me, but then again I don't have the most practical taste in shoes.

Dolcee - think we share the ironing thing - iron everything except tea towels and knickers/pants. Actually now that I pay for it I allow my anal tendancies full rein and get the tea towels ironed too.. As for my chickens, I like them how I like my shoes - high maintenance and totally impractical - mine are fluffy chickens with pom poms on their heads. They are kept mainly for showing and they get bathed, blowdried, manicured and moisturised before a show. Do you know, when I write it down it all seems very strange.

KristinaM · 05/02/2010 22:27

for those of you eyeing up the LK Bennett nude shoes, there is a £25 off vouncher in this montsh Red magazine. Or code RED2 online

LetThemEatCake · 05/02/2010 22:28

glad I am not the only drunkard in da house

but am relatively certain that it is NOT the wine that made me fall over when I read your post porridge!!!

Combo of shock, horror and belly laughter!!! Hilarious!!!

hells no downer intended love - black drab on me, is all, in winter at least - in summer it looks ok, go figure, maybe bc I have a tan?? Or maybe just my mood (ie am such a miserable cow in winter that black just makes me look even more sour)
Loving the black rats at the Islington party .. went to a Kentish town 3 yr old's party t'other week .. not quite the same but can imagine ....
Also who know whether the nude really did look good on me or whether anything would have looked good compared to my thighs in those damn rats!! They looked ace when I bought them, honest!! Damn that esher, I would have happily forgotten about them if she hadn't gone dredging up their memory and starting a Sass&Bide stampede

Popping in very quickly only several
hours before I leave on holiday but am very seriously distressed that some of you ownbirds & fear I may need to leave our thread

I have a serious bird phobia; 8 (f'ing) years of counselling later I can type the word "bird" but please let's keep this chicken fluff free. Please.

LetThemEatCake · 05/02/2010 22:29

monkeysmama · 05/02/2010 22:31

monkeysmama · 05/02/2010 22:37

agree with Kristina, look a bit officey. Am very jealous that you can drink around your MiL, my inlaws are a weird religion and alcohol is off limits ... rendering them even more painful than otherwise ... seeing them tomorrow and am in knots already

bunny just checked out your profile, you are gorgeous!! as is DH and DD

MM - am not leaving this country until I have imbibed vino rosso with you - or at least until we've had a playdate at Horniman or G Park.
