OP posts:
Flightattendant · 29/01/2010 17:44

Hello! Have emailed back, let me know if it does not arrive as had to copy address across manually, google mail will not let me paste things from there they want a monopoly on my emails!!

Thankyou so very much.
Will go and look at thread!

PoppityPing · 29/01/2010 18:32

No problem! Got your email- have done the boots thread now.

Flightattendant · 29/01/2010 19:10

Oh will have a look! Wondered why I could not find it earlier

Have had despatch note, and the shift dress isn't on there, just coat, jacket and shoes...so not too bothered as I would prob have sent it back anyway.

Flightattendant · 31/01/2010 07:38

Helleau. Very quiet on here yesterday by the looks!!

Is it terribly sad to only want to get out of bed if it is a 'Courier' day...?

MadameOvary · 31/01/2010 13:35

Flight
This is turning into the opposite of the "Dont spend money" thread!

Flightattendant · 31/01/2010 13:59

Indeed

Oh dear.

I blame the phases of the moon.

PoppityPing · 31/01/2010 19:57

Flight!! Look what I found.....this dress it's quite a lot like the grey dress, but a bit funkier and a whole lot less £

It could of course be cheap and shapeless....

Flightattendant · 31/01/2010 20:05

Ooh that's lovely! Are you going to get it as well as the yellow one?

G'wan

did you get the dosh btw?

PoppityPing · 31/01/2010 20:28

Yes! I did, thanks! It worked fine, I'll post tomorrow.

I might get that one, but I too can count on the fingers of one hand how many times I have been out since childbearing recently, but that is a day wear one, no?

PoppityPing · 31/01/2010 20:29

It would hide my post-roast paunch...

Flightattendant · 01/02/2010 06:25

lol! Yes I concur tis day wear.

Let us know what the toast one is like...looks so nice in the picture.

PoppityPing · 01/02/2010 11:17

Will do, actually I was thinking of you when I linked it- they didn't send you the grey shift in the end did they?

Have posted boots today 1st class (was the same price without recorded, doh!)

Flightattendant · 01/02/2010 12:24

Ah I see! Thankyou dear...well, when I ordered the shift dress I kind of was in a Toast-hyped state, and realised I prob wouldn't wear it that much...particularly as I already have a wool shift I love (from Kew) and rarely wear it as still bfing ds2! It has, erm, limited access

So I think I had best restrain myself really. I will see what the other things are like...so far have had nice boots, and your boots! (thankyou for posting so quick!) so really have not been overly spendish.

But if the prom coat is nice I will feel guilty about keeping it...it'll have to ve seriously good for that price. And I preferred the starling brown one, but they only had dodgy green. Hmm, might be nicer than photo!

Are you waiting for anything else? I love that bag site you linked to the other day, really sweet things aren't they?
Oh and I did order a silk dress and some cords from Inis. here in yellow which will prob go back for same non access reasons as other one! and here
I think they look v good on slightly chubby model actually!

vesela · 01/02/2010 13:07

My first order finally arrived, and I'm happy to report I'm very pleased with it - particularly the cord knee-length skirt, which is incredibly comfortable and a lovely cut.

The Alina dress is very lightweight, but good for spring/early summer and is a good shape (it's a red version of this - the sleeves come just above the elbow). I can see how the same jersey material wouldn't have worked as a tunic, though, if it is the same as Poppity's. It was hard to tell from the photos how thick this was but luckily it's turned out well.

Flightattendant · 01/02/2010 13:11

Ooh wonderful! The skirt sounds fab. I nearly ordered longer cord skirt but stopped myself as shopping bag was groaning a bit

I'm really glad you like oyur things!

vesela · 01/02/2010 13:26

That's a beautiful yellow dress btw - I love the foldy bits on the sleeves.

Flightattendant · 01/02/2010 13:28

Thankyou...isn't it lovely?

I'm not sure if it is really 'me' any more, it would have been once...but anyway.

I love Inis. They have great stuff.

PoppityPing · 01/02/2010 13:35

Oh that's good vesela, I think the tunic would have been good if it was longer, but as a tunic it just sat on my bum and stuck to my leggings as it wasn't heavy/slinky enough.
I could not bring myself to resort to shiny leggings! [ample arse emoticon]

PoppityPing · 01/02/2010 13:40

I am loving all the floaty smocks and leggings atm, but I don't think it's doing my figure any good

I love that site, that dress is a gorgeous colour too.
I'm glad they've run out of this and this

I never seem to be satiated

PoppityPing · 01/02/2010 13:44

Found this site the other day,

I am particularly in love with

this dress

I'm off to ebay

Flightattendant · 01/02/2010 16:35

Oh that is wonderful...and your second link, the dress with the funny neck/chest stretchy bit, well I was gazing at it for hours the other week when it was even then out of stock...!
Just as well really!

My toasty bits have arrived.
It is a mix here.

The shoes are a teeny bit big, but nothing an insole won't cure - just the strap really is too wide. But the shape of them isn't like I imagined and they are very hard somehow...not kind of wrapping around my feet at all. I want to return them but have noticed a tiny mark on the sole, which is leather - I only walked on carpet but it might mean I can't send them back.

Did anyone want them in a 42? I'm not entirely decided yet, need another little walk about I think.
The cord jacket is very unforgiving across the middle, and although it does up and looks OK, it is tiny weeny for a 10. I like things I can move in so it is going back.

The coat is beautiful - again a little bit on the trim side of 10, but not restrictive with a thin cardi under it, so am tempted to keep. But might see if they get a 12 back in stock as I want it to last a long time and am unlikely to get thinner!!

Oh well...

thisisyesterday · 01/02/2010 18:49

well my stuff arrived today and i am mostly pleased with it
cord skirt, as someone else said, is really lovely, am wearing it right now.

also got a fab dress, coat and some boots.

got the needlecord dress, which looks terrible on me, so if anyone is after one in a 14 let me know!! lol

Flightattendant · 01/02/2010 18:58

Ooh Tiy, which coat, boots and dress?

Unless they get a brown 12 back in the prom coat I'm hanging on to the green one...it does fit fine, I just have to not put any weight on!

thisisyesterday · 01/02/2010 19:03

i got the xan coat, can't find it on there. it fits beautifully, but isn't very "me". i need to show it to dp when he gets back and see what he thinks

the low heel boots which i am rather liking as I hate wearing heels as they make me feel so tall

and the milena dress which looks so nice on, I was really surprised because dresses don't usually suit me, but it's very flattering

Cyb · 01/02/2010 19:07

Damn, wish I'd bought that dress, been linking to it but missed the boat now
