Welcome back all.

We rattled through the last thread and with Black Friday round the corner this one will go fast too. I hope we haven't all spent up on advents... 😂

Thank you as always to our regulars for you contributions and if you've been reading and thinking of joining come and say hello. 😊

A lil cheeky ask please - is anyone able to get me a blue light code for Gap please? My husband, sister and mum are annoyingly not answering me 😡 in my hour of need too! (Although I can forgive my mum, she's a gp receptionist so she's probably still answering calls). No excuse for my husband and sister though 🤪

IlovePond · 23/10/2026 16:25

I tried the Elevator today. I expect my neck to look ten years younger by tonight 😹

Re: Last year’s Xmas LE glosses.

I bought two and started using one - I don’t really like it, tbh - it doesn’t last or even show up much on my lips and I think I may even react to it a little.

However - the comment about using them up a couple of days ago made me think about my unopened one.

I contacted LE CS to ask for DOM and expiry.

I got a swift answer, if not really what I asked for. They didn’t tell me the DOM but said the product was good for 36 months after opening.

I appreciated the info, but don’t know whether it’s a reliable answer as I always thought lipsticks were 12-18 months after opening 🤷‍♀️

Anyway, I thought I would let you all know what they said, as I know I am not the only one with one of two knocking around unopened!

Goldleafcat · 23/10/2026 16:52

@IlovePond Enjoy the Elevator! I do think it’s the best of all the neck creams I’ve tried so far. It’s not a miracle cure but has definitely helped. I have read that some people can get a bit of a reaction, I did notice some redness one day so paused it for a few days, then when I went back to it, it’s been fine ever since. I guess it’s the active ingredients (like with many products). I ran out and tried to make do with the Prai one but gave up after a week 😂

TragicMuse · 23/10/2026 17:09

Oh I tried the Reome Broth again and didn’t itch the second time. Hurrah!

Thanks for the CC tips @Fleecy and @paristotokyo I’ll look for some deals!

I’ve never found a lipstick that doesn’t come off. But I have quite thin lips so there’s not much that doesn’t touch or come into contact. Looking at people who succeed at enduring lipstick/lipstain, they all have much fuller lips than I do. More non-contact surface area. So I’m kinda resigned to it now.

Thanks @Goldleafcat - I will watch out and bin it if so. I hope not, because that could be an expensive mistake!

keepincool · 23/10/2026 17:37

I've succumbed to the LE lipstick in Spinel. I got 10% off with Student Beans and had £24 in BD vouchers so forked out £2.10, with free delivery too 😊.

I honestly had a teeny bit of irritation and after I gave my neck a few days break and started it again all has been absolutely grand since. I wouldn’t chuck it. It’s my favourite now.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 23/10/2026 18:15

@Seahorses12 I love the MZ bioplacenta serum, it’s lovely. I really like all their products. I’m considering making November a Mask, Minis & Moisturising month so I can bring out the Mz moisturiser. I could probably do it anyway but then my brain will start all that nonsense about saving it for best.

Is being a grown up just figuring out different ways to get around your own foibles?

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 23/10/2026 18:16

@keepincool That does look good. My favourite game at the moment is to look at an edit before I look at the price. Some of them get a real lip curl from me when I see the price. This one, I expected it to be a little higher, so now I have to hide it or I might buy it…

Goldleafcat · 23/10/2026 18:56

I’ve got some new Boots advantage points offers which look good if they apply to everyone - £20 off £100 (Space NK vibes) and save £10 when you spend £80. Worth bearing in mind!

SheilaFentiman · 23/10/2026 19:08

I have the £10 for £80 but not £20 for £100. However I do have 15% off shiseido!

Oh flip, I've got really thin lips, never thought of that as the reason I can't get lipstick to stick. I thought I just had to find the right lipstick, maybe I need lip filler as well..................

Ooh this is good too! It’s funny how variable the offers are!

SucksToBeYou · 23/10/2026 19:21

I was influenced by @OvaHereto buy the Sarah Creal under eye product. I was in the Trafford Centre today, so went to Space NK. As I approached the door, they put a rope in my way, and said they were starting a line! For what reason, I have no idea. The shop wasnt even that busy. Maybe the universe is telling me I dont need it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Goldleafcat · 23/10/2026 19:22

I wonder if I have this offer because I spend a ridiculous amount at Boots 🤦‍♀️😂

I have 18 days to use it. That’s 2 £10 Tuesdays… and the rest! (Those weekly offers are tempting)

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 23/10/2026 19:25

That’s ridiculous @SucksToBeYou, I’m sorry. You definitely need the Sarah Creal under eye product though, it’s amazing.

Oh have now found the Shisheido offer. Why do they split the offers up like that in the app?!

I hate this kind of behaviour. It makes loyal customers feel like rubbish. 🙁 Sorry to hear this.

(I had an irritating similar experience at Nespresso at the Trafford Centre. I was so pissed off I left it and have ordered online ever since!)

I hate this process. Do shops not realise that customer experience starts before they enter the shop. I refuse to go in a shop when they do this. If they are regularly too busy to need this then they should have a waiting room. I’m thinking comfy sofas, free drinks, loads of testers. Someone make this happen.

edited to add I was also influenced by @OvaHere and it’s currently sitting in my basket waiting for the GWP to appear.

The LE Spinel lipstick has serious staying power. It's survived a pasta bake and latte lunch amazingly well.

Is it a gel formula?

user593 · 23/10/2026 20:15

Oh and I forgot to add I - unnoticed by me until now - I have become an SNK Deluxe member. Bit worrying I managed to spend that much without realising!

Talisin · 23/10/2026 20:18

Have now tried the Chantecaille Aventurine and I’m in love! The colour is perfect for me and it’s so pretty but very wearable - I can actually imagine wearing this to work so don’t need to keep it just for getting dressed up. Typical it’s a (very expensive) special edition which I’ll likely never be able to rebuy though.

@Talisin what is your colouring like? I am a light summer and struggling to pick between that shade and the lighter one but I’m really drawn to the darker shade but scared it will
be too much for me as I’m pale etc x
