New thread. Welcome back everyone. It's taken a while to get through the last due to how busy the advent threads have been.

All the holiday releases are coming out now and Black Friday is looming. So take a seat and buckle up. 😊

I'm also relieved the kits hold no appeal except the scent one which ive ordered. I feel they've done too much all at once and a more considered curation of a mens and ladies would have been better.

Also the mens is far better value, annoying pink tax.

I’ve ordered the evening one (for the Elevator) and tempted by the scents kit but I’m also still tempted by the summer scents kit (but I don’t really want another Double Scoop). I am a bit nonplussed as to why the make up kit includes a hairspray when there is literally a standalone hair kit available.

Cute offer - 2 Glossier dot com balms in a little tin gingersnap and peppermint bark. Good stocking fillter for any girl or woman. Also VIP on vouchercodes. Just started using the one from SPK last year and really like it, better than RMS one.

Went through the Liberty scents on fragrantica, too male leaning and I also have just bought Vyrao's sun rae, 3 Floraiku's from HFAC and 1 Jeroboam gozo which evri is taking its time delivering. So enough for me.

It’s a London day for me AND I’m very stressed at work, which is always a recipe for a wander to SNK at lunchtime to look for bargains 💸

Received my Boots Lancome and Luxe GWP boxes and they are sooo beautiful 😍 has anyone else got them? Not sure if they're still available, but with a £50 spend on Lancome you could get two GPW boxes which are both gorgeous

Mine came at the weekend - thanks for pointing it out.

I bought a primer and a brown mascara then got my freebies and all with using my points which are mostly accrued from recycling my empties so a treat and economical - what's better than that!

IDontHateRainbows · 21/10/2026 10:42

My liberty scent kits arrived, impressed so far at the value / amount of fragrance in these. Haven't tested yet but will do later.

Does anyone rate the Summer Fridays Blush Butter Balm? I have so many cream blush I’m very tempted to sell this on rather than use it, but it’s well reviewed and the colour is pretty. Tell me I don’t need it!

Inhave the cream bronzer and I love it! Not sure if its the exact same formula but makes me want to try more SF products. I'm looking forward to the blush from my Sephora advent even though I'd have picked a darker shade.

Yes. I really like them. The shelf life isn't great once opened though. Mine that's coming up to a year old now is looking a bit ropey so if you think you won't get much use from it don't keep it.

The new LE xmas collection has launched. I really like the look of the pinky lipstick.

I don't need it

I had this @Branster but resisted then forgot. Great value if you'll use a lot of it.
Ive been going through my stash. A very sobering event. 🤣
I came across a Bibbi Swimming Pool and know i love it but today I really loved it. So looked on liberty and got 2 of the fresh fragrance sets from summer. I got 2 floral but hadn't tried the Bibbi at that point. Had £100 beauty drop credit so cost £35ish and ill get a £10 voucher.
🥰
I wasnt interested in any of the edits. X

I am not even going to pretend - the only sensible part of me is waiting until I can buy the lipstick only and not the set as don’t want the red one.

i succumbed to these earlier

I’m only able to resist the LE because I’m having to reckon with my face not being the skin type that I was used to before. I’m seeing so much texture now in odd places. I feel overall my skin is great after 18 months of trying various products but my forties are coming for me. Is it too dramatic to call it a Black Mirror episode?

I'm 50. I bet you look great, really. You never think you do at the time but when you look back! 😄

I’m 41 and I’ve suddenly gone from having combo/ oily spotty skin all my life to dry skin, and the wrinkles 🙃 it takes some adjusting too. I think after a year of being afraid of over moisturising I’ve finally got it right.

user593 · 21/10/2026 19:56

LE Spinel looks a lot like a Japanese lipstick I had years ago, loved it at the time but not totally sure I could pull it off now… might be worth a go though…

Oof, me too. I am 40. Why do pillow creases last for hours on my face now?! 😭

I am hydrated! I am moisturised! SO MOISTURISED. Not to mention all the rest of it. Whyyy is my skin holding on to pillow marks?! Also, I keep finding the odd REALLY long eyebrow hair. I dont know why.

I’m 67 and have gone from oily spotty (yes!) skin to medication induced skin of ancient papyrus.

It’s tough learning new routines and products but as the meds are with me for life, also a great excuse to keep buying more skincare. 😍

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 21/10/2026 20:09

Yes @user593 the fear of over-moisturising has got me in its claws. Specifically, milia. My under eyes can drink eye creams like the best of them but it worries me that I’ll end up with something I can’t remove.

@SucksToBeYou You know I think we should do a Belligerent Moisturising Spree in November alongside the Masks ‘n’ Minis goal. I remember last winter I did a ‘Second Moisturiser’ window, like a second breakfast. My face drank moisturiser like parchment, it was ludicrous. I have a bit more understanding now about serums and layering but I think it will still be beneficial.

Yesterday morning I applied three eye creams before I did my make up and it was so much better. Three eye creams?! wtf?

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 21/10/2026 20:11

@Sminty2 I’m seeing this as you say, a nice excuse to buy skincare, but it sounds like a right bastard!
