Number 3 - although it’s a different style to the others. Do you want a checked jacket ? Or a checked anorak? They are two anoraks and one jacket in my head?

The one bottom right. The beige one looks a bit like something you'd see as a mail order advert in a downmarket magazine and the shiny blue one looks cheap.

Someone will probably tell me now the two I don't like are some v. expensive and trendy brand 😆

The first two are horrid. The last one is better.

Funnel collars are very “in” this season, so 3. 1&2 is more a barn jacket which was everywhere last spring and will probably still be popular.

To add, I’m sticking with my barn jackets as although they are not trendy this winter I’ve got broad shoulders and a smallish head so funnel necks make me look like a giant tortoise. Try before you buy 😂

With this retro look, styling is everything, my very stylish 20 year old would pull this off with the obligatory huge baggy jeans and tight top but if you are mid-life it can just look like you haven't changed your look in 30 years. On that basis, the third one is ok.

Erm…none of them OP, sorry! And I say this as an ‘old lady’ of 62! I wouldn’t wear any of these jackets!

I agree that Barbour is well worth it. I have a plain black Barbour anorak that I put on oer the top of whatever layers I have if it rains. I also have a puffer coat and both look stylish.

I like the brown collar, blue check. You could really style that nicely.

But I would 100% splash on a Barbour. The Alexa Chung range would be right up your street.

I had all 3 and kept the joules as I thought it's the best one actually ..
I'm only 34 so I don't want one which would age me dramatically or look too posh in it.
I think it s cool, especially the large checks.
I actually thought the green is the worst of them literally like a riding horse coat.
It was sainsbury's too, no Barbour.
I didn't mean to sound rude but I had clothes in the past where friends or colleagues laughed/ teased that it's too old age style, hence i asked for advice here.
