Mind blown by the SNK ‘luxury’ reveal. Just speculating but it really seems as if the packaging was intended for a 12 day scent calendar which has had a last minute switch to this one - would explain the weird 24 products in 12 day thing 🤔.. anyway an easy pass

Wow ! Well I get the disappointment the price point built up expectations .
I try to remember for those new to BAC’s that the ones we are disappointed by will be cherished by others . But this seemed to mock literally anyone who likes there beauty products . It’s a bit insulting really truth be told but I do hope that people who buy it love it though.

Imagine how much worse it could have been if they’d left us in suspense for more than a day and we’d really had time to build the anticipation… 😂

This doesn't surprise me. It was a surprise and hyped up last night, but then there's products in there that don't feel luxe, you can pick them up at tkmaxx, others that seem to be in a lot of acs (la Prairie cleanser), old products that have been in other Bacs previously. It's just not exciting and it's overpriced. The only items that excite me are the 111serum and kilian perfume but even that could've been the new one and I have had loads of minis of the serum, but it is nice.

I've just realised they didn't put a candle in it. I was really expecting a fancy good sized candle.

Was wondering the same thing and then they had to go with products that would fit in each drawer rather than building the calendar to fit the specially selected products.

Its the price point. It should not be more then their normal BAC which was pushing it already. Especially when you compare it to Harrods, Selfridges etc.

I agree, that's why I thought it would have more fragrance in. It doesn't look like it's going to do too well. I've not seen anyone say anything good about it, nevermind that they're planning to buy it 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’d be surprised if Space NK sell ANY of those calendars at that price point. Or maybe that’s the point. To whip up fomo by offering us a ‘fabulous’ discount next month? It’d have to be a pretty hefty discount, that’s all I can say.

I’ve just caught up on the last thread after a long day in work. The contents of the ‘luxe’ SNK BAC left me confused to say the least. I was expecting BT/Vogue level for that price.

Speaking of BT, I’m growing more disappointed by the day that I didn’t chance the parcel flow thing. But I don’t use a credit card so it felt far too big a risk for the price.

This could be embarrassing but it’s been a very tough year and possibly my toughest year so far, so I know I’ve gone a bit mad but I am determined to end this year with some advent positivity.

In my possession I have, Elle, boots skin, liberty, Selfridges, sculpted by Amy, Harrods bac & H&B, JL fragrance, and I think Glossybox.

I think on order I have Sephora, Anthropologie BAc & home, Oh my cream, glamour and Ok (this one I’m unsure if I did order it, it’s been a manic few weeks)

I’m thinking I have room for one more so it’s got to be a good one. any recommendations?

@Beautyfox I don't think you need anymore 🤣 I actually became very overwhelmed with where I was going to put everything after I bought so many last year. If you're desperate for another, I really like the revolve 12 day, it has the allies of skin serum in that's worth £99 but is only like £65 with the insider code. I like the little case too.

IMHO you might be better off waiting for the Christmas gift sets and edits, and picking up one or two that you really like. If you get two, it ends up being about the price of a pricier advent and you might get even more products. Those Christmas ones tend to have beautiful shimmery packaging too, which is lovely if you like that sort of thing - I know I do!

Sometimes, those gift sets and edits go on sale as well. Boots' 24 days of skin was already briefly on sale. I recall some Chanel or Dior gift sets were also on sale during the Black Friday sales.

Thanks for everyone’s good wishes today. The funeral went very well and was a lovely send off for FIL. We don’t really have a good relationship with MIL so just relieved it all went well.
Im thinking about taking the 2 serums out of the Boots Luxe for Dd when it arrives as they’re definitely aimed at an older age group ie me 😂 and will replace with something else.

Some I’m thinking of opening as edits such as sculpted by Amy and the Harrods h and b. I’m also planning on doing an October and November advent and keeping the best ones for December.

I think you are right I am fully stocked. I must stop but I was sooo hopefully for the SNK luxe and feel like there is now a gap to fill. 😬🙈
@JasmineMilkTea i think you are right I bet there are going to be some amazing edits this year and Black Friday is just around the corner. I will pause and sort of my stash which is always a sobering exercise.

If you're still looking for luxe, the Diptyque advent is a lovely expereince. Otherwise I agree with the suggestions of waiting for the edits that come along, there were some great ones last year x

Is the Harrods Hair & Beauty worth ordering? I'm looking for a really good hair edit as a Christmas gift for my teen daughter. She's very much into haircare and has lovely long locks that could look healthier after all the bleached highlights she had done 🥶

I'd forgotten SNK got sold to Ulta, do we think these calendars are a sign of things to come, or have they just dropped the ball this year?

It’s a hair and body so has a few perfumes and body lotions too. I do think they have aimed it at a younger audience so it could be good for your DH. I quite like a lot of the stuff in there despite not being it’s target audience and I think it’s a great price point. Although I really wish they didn’t have the PK in there.
