A teacher had us do it all in school years ago because non of us believed him! There are other ones like your thumb outstretched to middle finger should be the length of the start of your hairline (if not receding) to bottom of your chin.

Fortunately, schools have changed. Imagine reinforcing that with students who then discover they don't fit the standard. Nightmare.
