I love that outfit with the jeans & tux blazer, is it really M&S?

binofbags · 15/10/2026 13:25

I like the burgundy coat but don’t like the boring court shoes

My mil is horrified by feet larger than 4.5.
I assume tall princesses have long feet.

4.5 is tiny though! I think the average is 6, I’m 5ft 9 but size 5.5

eggandonion · 15/10/2026 14:04

I have a bunion so limited shoe choice...mil is horrified by the bunion.

Meghan gets a lot of things spot on. She has a lovely smile when she is genuinely enjoying things.
I couldn't wear a coat with bare legs.

ExOptimist · 15/10/2026 14:13

I wonder why Meghan wore a huge winter coat when it's 20 degrees outside. Maybe that explains the bare legs.

binofbags · 15/10/2026 14:21

It’s 21 here in London but feels colder

justasking111 · 15/10/2026 14:24

Talking of shoes I was a size 4. After two children a size 5. After the third child 18 years later i wore flats for a few years crept up to a six. Then came two bad hips for a few years couldn't wear heels at all. This week, polished them all up, shoes and boots, gave them to charity shop.

This morning went shopping, pixie boots with heels are back apparently. Anyway was looking for loafers none in a 6 so tried on a five. Perfect fit. Tried two other designs on in a 5. Again perfect, I was wearing socks.

Question ❓ ❓. Have my feet shrunk again or are M&S vanity sizing footwear now.

Banjas · 15/10/2026 14:24

I don’t like the colour of Meghan’s coat as it was the colour of my school uniform and it’s not a colour that suits me.
It suits her though.
Someone drew her eyebrows on a little heavily. She’s very pretty and doesn’t need it.

Pallisers · 15/10/2026 14:43

@justasking111 my feet also went up a size after my first child and never went back - even though I hadn't kept any of the weight on.

I do know of people who went down a shoe size too after an illness/rapid weight loss.

binofbags · 15/10/2026 14:46

My biggest pregnancy/childbirth related fear was my feet getting bigger, luckily they didn’t. I have got a serious nice shoe collection!

eggandonion · 15/10/2026 14:47

My son buys shoes online. Very risky in my opinion!
Im sure the royals don't do that.
When are the various state visits and overseas trips...surely soon!

Cool after California!

Just saw that Meghan was out and about yesterday too in the sort of casual outfit she does very well. I prefer the Jennifer Chamandi shoes to today's. Rania is also a big fan of that brand.

Quite an "interesting" ensemble in the gent on the right!

That's a great look, classic Meghan - pale denim jeans and a blazer. Interesting shoes as well.

Oh you are my height and foot size twin. It's an unusual combination.

IceLollly · 15/10/2026 16:22

Better with the coat! As always she needs better underwear. The top is a horrible colour and needs a wider belt.

I wouldn't put those colours together, but I think she's going for an autumnal palette - I quite like the skirt though.

The top also appears to be slightly sheer, but not sheer enough to seem deliberate which just looks a bit cheap to me.

eggandonion · 15/10/2026 16:26

Having spent ages earlier looking for a top that would work with a skirt I liked...or a plain colour dress not 100 polyester...it isn't easy Meghan!

IcedPurple · 15/10/2026 16:29

Burgundy is a great colour for Meghan as she really suits jewel tones. However, the different shades clash and the overall impression is a bit sloppy.

She tried a similar colour scheme almost exactly 7 years ago as a working royal. I don't think it worked then either.

I like the narrow belt & skirt shape but don’t love the two colours together. It looks fine with the coat on top though

binofbags · 15/10/2026 16:50

@Runningupthecurtainsdo you have a high instep? What ring size are you?

eggandonion · 15/10/2026 16:51

Harry looked crumpled.

I think my instep is normal. I used to have tiny dinky fingers, my engagement ring was a J when first bought (I was 28) but I've had to have it enlarged twice - I've no idea what my ring size is now.

binofbags · 15/10/2026 17:03

I have a high instep which I assumed was why my feet were small for my height. I’m still a ring size I, despite being 3 stone heavier than my wedding day my fingers haven’t really got any bigger.

Felipe really needs to get all the male royals in Europe on a zoom call and do a master class in tailoring and fit.
