Perhaps Charlene wore those shoes when visiting the new nursery as she’s tall and knew she would be communicating with little children, getting down to their level.
Perhaps on her hunkers - Hard to do in heels so a practical choice.

Yes, that's what I thought, tricky to squat in high heels.

Charlene was an Olympic-level swimmer, so big feet would have been an advantage. For princessing, maybe not so much.

What?! I'm pretty sure you can do effective "princessing" with any sized feet.

If you look further down at the photos, both she and Albert are wearing overshoes that look like tied on sacks as I mentioned previously. So I would imagine she was advised to wear flat shoes as they wouldn’t want the heels of any Louboutins getting stuck 😆

My mil is horrified by feet larger than 4.5.
I assume tall princesses have long feet.

How very odd of her.

Eaumyword · 15/10/2026 10:13

Leti's pink blouse is very pretty. Love Char's glasses. She has a pretty elfin face and those glasses look great on her.

Indeed! Kate, Maxima, Mathilde and the Spanish princesses do fairly well at princessing and queening and they can't be having tiny feet as they're all at least 5'9!

Quite, all tall women, all very fit, hiking, skiing, swimming etc. they can still fulfill their formal roles. I can't actually think of anyone very small.

I have size three feet. If anyone would like to offer me a position as princess I would be happy to accept. I would promise to employ you all as my stylists, and listen, as I love your comments and lack style myself. I have very long curly hair despite being Catherine's age so this may be our only point of disagreement.

Good one! Some of us actually like the really long hair on Kate, so you're not alone! I thought my feet were small (size 4).

Well I have no chance at a size 7 😆😆

Maireas · 15/10/2026 11:18

That's excellent! On a style note, I love her jacket and trousers.

Not that keen on the stilettos as she has far more interesting shoes in the wardrobe, but the rest of the outfit is nice, and the colour really suits her.

Yes, I think quite a few of the royal women still like to wear stilettos and I agree she's got more interesting shoes.

I like the colour of the coat but that’s about it. She looks swamped and the bare leg look is a bit odd with such a massive outer garment 🤷‍♀️

RomainsCalmish · 15/10/2026 12:44

Love the colour and the coat. It's a fairly 'classic' look for Meghan with the pencil skirt, polo neck and coat but in some pictures there appear to be a lot of variations of burgundy which jar a bit.

And I agree with Smilesy that the heels, bare legs and big coat look a bit incongruous.

Alondra · 15/10/2026 12:46

I genuinely love Meghan's style. I know there are problems with her in MN but IMO, she's elegant and classy. Her coat is superb, her hair is perfect and her stilettos dress up the whole oufit. It helps her feet that she doesn't wear stiletos for 300+ engagements a year.

A great look.

Pallisers · 15/10/2026 13:14

that is such a pretty blouse on Leti. I'd love to have that.

Just saw that Meghan was out and about yesterday too in the sort of casual outfit she does very well. I prefer the Jennifer Chamandi shoes to today's. Rania is also a big fan of that brand.

Quite an "interesting" ensemble in the gent on the right!

If I've read it right, I think the chap on the right is George Norwood, her hairdresser. He did her hair for the evening do at her wedding.

And I prefer the Jennifer Chamandi shoes too!
