Hi everyone! I have not been able to participate properly in the past two threads because of some work stuff, but tried to read and catch up a bit today.
At the meantime I finally received my Harrods BAC and FACs, wish they had arrived earlier but nonetheless they are lovely.
I thought I share this in case it has not been mentioned before:
I decided to go to Sephora and buy the Calendar in person (not sure what exactly happened to the 2 BACs max plan, whoops!). Anyway, I was offered 10 percent off the calendar if I registered for the 2 Sephora Favourite brands. I had previously registered and bought stuff from Sephora but had not registered for the Favourite program. I was unaware of this offer and the cashier offered it, a very nice surprise.
Not sure if it works online, but for those who want to buy in person it might be sth to consider.
Btw I've really enjoyed reading about everyone's imaginary calendar. I will try to write mine down too xxx

@Flaneura which store did you go to? Just out of interest, and did they have many left? I'm thinking of going to meadowhall tomorrow to see if they have it there.

I agree with you @Reb642 - I don’t want/need lots of stuff but I like to try new things I wouldn’t usually buy myself!

Re: Tidal Glow - the Korean Skincare Company a/c, (they did the Sylvan Glow a/c last year):

• This will be approximately £175, (the price given on their email is in euros.
• It is being released on Wednesday 28/9 at 11am

They ship orders from their European warehouses and claim that there are no extra customs fees to pay.

Has anyone ordered anything expensive from them before - i.e. over £135? If so, were there any extra charges?

I got intrigued by the talk of the Sisleya lotion from the Liberty calendar and had a look at it and consulted my ChatGPT boss (mine is very bossy and called Laurène 😄) and it was approved as suitable for my skin so I’ve just bought it from Vinted from someone on here.

Wow! I’m clearly very easily pleased. I have been buying beauty boxes and advents since they were a thing. I am yet to have a reaction or bad experience from using any of the thousands of products I have tried so have decided I am not remotely troubled by checking dates. I imagine if everyone were to start complaining, brands would stop supplying retailers and the bargain boxes would disappear. I’d rather stay ignorant 😊.

I’ve given my imaginary calendar a lot of thought:

A lovely wash off face mask (no single use sheet masks please)
Rejuran turnover ampoule
Centellian 24 Madeca cream
Shampoo and conditioner (double drawer!)
Fancy body wash in a lovely scent
Luxurious body oil
A slip silk pillowcase (would also settle for a contoured silk sleep mask…)
Fancy candle in a large size as the grand finale (maybe Diptyque feu du bois!)

It would also be under £100 and I would find 1 of 4 golden tickets this imaginary company have put in their calendars 😂

Hmmm, I have Sephora as one of my two faves which I think gets me 15% off Sephora brand. My other one is Made By Mario, which gets me 10% off.

I was in SpaceNK and smelt the DS Durga debaser in bloom which was far nicer than I imagined it to be - I normally like woody scents but I do love tuberose from Diptyque

Not really a golden ticket but I got a £50 gift card is last years HN fragrance calendar. I got the calendar significantly reduced too!

It was in fact Medowhall! What are the chances... there were two different sections with advents, that I saw, but there might have been more. Each stand had like 4-5 calendars. It was very quite in the store and tbh I don't think they'll be out of stock in the next few days, so certainly worth going to if you're thinking of picking one up.

Yes, I was told I'll still get double points. 400 points I think. I have not yet checked my account to see if it has come through or not though, but can update you once I've checked. I think it's worth a try to in store to see if you get the offer, if you're going to buy the advent anyway.

Just in case anyone is on the edge of their seats, my Sephora BAC is still processing. I find a steady arrival of packages easier to explain away than some sort of skincare avalanche…

I had the Sylvan Glow last year and paid charges which Korean Skin refunded with no argument as they said I shouldn’t have. It was a lovely calendar. I’d love the Tidal Glow but I have far too much Korean skin care already.

Cult beauty were doing £5 for 5 samples before with the debaser in bloom available, not sure if still on but worth checking. So 5 x 2ml
