Welcome back everyone to the new thread and hello to any newbies - join us now in time for the autumnal fun. 🍂💄🌂

As always when the Advent threads are running hot this thread is a little quieter but holiday releases, sets and edits are just around the corner. I'm super excited to be going to Sephoria London in October - I still can't believe I lucked out getting a ticket.

Some exciting homegrown news -after a few technical hiccups the FB group is now searchable (but private) MN Beauty Chat Swap/Trade/Sell.* *For those interested in the group we have a few joining rules you will be asked to abide by. Thank you @MrsBnow12 @CinderellaParker for your help.

Tidal has been cheapened by it being in the BAC though, if you’re not adverse to buying on Vinted. I picked up two bottles for £15 each recently!

Didn't know it was in a BAC!

I'm not adverse, but I need to work through my stash first as I definitely have other hyaluronic acid products. £15 is a good price @BakeOffRewatch - perhaps you could pick up the serum for that price rather than pick up the edit?

OvaHere · 29/09/2026 19:19

I'm a bit underwhelmed by the 4 Space NK edits too. I quite like the hair one with the Oribe Hair Oil but I could just buy one of those at some point with 20% off.

@JasmineMilkTea @user593 @namechange0998776554799000 I have the cult beauty vac so already have the Sunday Riley tidal serum, it’s got good reviews and I love a hydrating serum so wouldn’t mind two. I think I will pass and wait for more festive season releases, but it is super cute!

BakeOffRewatch · 29/09/2026 19:39

And the Kosas lip plumper is one of those tingly ones that works by giving you an allergic reaction

MrsBnow12 · 29/09/2026 19:46

There is a Tidal on Vinted for £12 if anyone interested.
I really like it and for one at a Sunday Riley event and use it in my morning routine.

BakeOffRewatch · 29/09/2026 19:59

I think I might treat myself to a new GHD hairdryer and straightener set from their Christmas releases

The bag with mirror is cute!

If it's just the packaging you're after, perhaps you can pick one up on Vinted after a while?

I had to have stern words with myself last year. I was desperate for one of the Dior GWP bags, but no way was I spending £100+ just to get a GWP bag as I wasn't after any Dior products. I ended up lurking Vinted for a few weeks and buying it there. I probably overpaid, but I love the bag and use it all the time, so it's been well worth it for me.

No brainer for me, I bought it straight away. I’m a huge Lisa Eldridge fan. The Lisa Eldridge Cleanser is one of my HG products and I haven’t bought it in a while - have been making my way through Wildsmith balm cleansers bought for a couple of pounds on Vinted. The Votary Radiance Reveal Mask is amazing, very gentle but effective, really does give radiance. Love the mirror water for the body as well. So what’s that, £43 £65 £27 value already across three products? Though I’d never purchase the Mirror Water as there’s other body moisturisers I prefer, so let’s say £108 over two products that I buy anyway.

Haven’t tried the Lisa Eldridge Velatura balm yet. Am interested in the Violette perfume. The Verden hand cream is really good too, I have loads of hand cream and actually finished this one despite the large size.

www.libertylondon.com/uk/founders-kit-by-lisa-eldridge-000883083.html

  • Lisa Eldridge Kitten Brow Fluffy Hold and Flyaway Gel 9g
  • Lisa Eldridge Velatura Balm Dewy Lip & Cheek Stick in Rose Madder 4.8g
  • Lisa Eldridge Kitten Lash Mascara in Black 8ml
  • Lisa Eldridge Skin Enhancing Treatment Cleanser 100ml
  • MZ Skin Hydra-Bright Gold Eye Mask x 1
  • Emma Lewisham Sunceutical SPF50 Mineral Face Crème 50ml
  • VERDEN Herbanum Hand Cream 75ml
  • Votary Radiance Reveal Mask 50ml
  • Hair by Sam McKnight Cool Girl Texture Spray 250ml
  • VIOLETTE_Fr Avec Amour Perfume 15ml
  • Mirror Water SMOOTH Body Oil 50ml
  • Contents worth £448 / over $600
  • Housed in a Liberty medium wash bag in Liberty Artists Bouquet print

All this talk about bags reminds me that I need to thank you @BakeOffRewatch for your strong recommendation of the Lisa Eldridge cleanser. I found a sample of it my stash and used it. Rather annoyed I didn’t try it earlier as I absolutely love it! It's surprisingly moisturising. It won't remove my makeup or sunscreen despite its claims, but I double-cleanse with micellar water first so it's not a problem.

Bought the Lisa Eldridge edit and I'm well pleased with it. Been rationing the Mirror Water oil from last year's Liberty BAC as I love the smell but will never pay full price, and now I have a whole larger size to enjoy.

I'm looking forward to trying the Votary mask as I love Sunday Riley's Good Genes that has lactic acid.

That's my Beauty Drop credit spent and a little more to top up, which is great because I'm not getting the BAC this year and don't like credit building up.

Quick note to anyone interested in the bag, as I was. Unlike most other Liberty bags I’ve seen, each bag looks slightly different as the print is quite large and doesn’t repeat evenly. I really liked being able to pick my own bag in person. It is monogrammed with Lisa's logo but I don't mind that as I use enough of her products, and it doesn't stand out too much.

The bag was absolutely heaving with product - it was Tetris in there!

BakeOffRewatch · 29/09/2026 20:11

£608 😵💀☠️🏴‍☠️🪦

https://www.boots.com/ghd-deluxe-speed-hair-dryer-and-chronos-hair-straightener-festive-gift-set-in-cashmere-beige-10395234

feel like they’ve done that just for marketing purposes to be in same category of spend as Dyson. I’d always appreciated the price point versus performance of GHDs. I use my hairdryer a lot though. I just looked it up and apparently the 2020 Wish Upon A Star set cost £368 RRP 😳 I didn’t know because my mother in law bought it for me …

Oh really? I wear a lot of sunscreen and makeup and the Lisa Eldridge cleanser gets it all off. I do a proper massage with it though, but I always do with cleanser. Glad to hear you’re enjoying the edit otherwise.

The big Selfridges edit seems to be back in stock. It was showing as sold out earlier.

I have been really wanting to try the Patrick Ta lip glosses and I’ve just noticed the set on CB including the one I wanted (Espresso, but also Cookie Butter which was a close second). I have enough credit to get them but also waaay too many lip glosses 🤔

Addictedtobeauty · 29/09/2026 23:02

Thanks @OvaHere . Bagged the Selfridges kit. It looks so good.

Beautyfox · 30/09/2026 08:39

I couldn’t resist it either. I’ve sent the link to my DH saying this needs to be under the Christmas tree! 😂

OvaHere · 30/09/2026 11:50

@Addictedtobeauty @Beautyfox it's taking all my resolve not to buy this edit. There's a couple of repeats I don't need and although I'd like the Trinny Vit C I have loads of Medik8 Vit C to use up. The struggle is real so I hope it sells out soon. 😂

Mines on its way. The good thing ab my DH using my account for free delivery is I know he’s taken the not soo subtle hint.

MrsBnow12 · 30/09/2026 14:12

For anyone who was waiting for the UK Rhode exclusive bag it is finally live on the website

user593 · 30/09/2026 14:35

@MrsBnow12 Thank you for the heads up! I did not know about this but I bought Pretzel when it was released on the international website and promptly lost it (looked everywhere, I’d be shocked if it turned up at this point) so very happy to buy it again as I really liked it. The bag seems really expensive for what it is though.

Have you tried the elf vit c? Cheap as chips and meant to be better than most high end vit c serums?

I might have done. I'm sure I did have one. I'm using the elf retinol at the moment which seems decent.

Oh dear. Hand slipped and I’ve ordered the selfridges edit. It’s being delivered internationally to me. They remove the £20 vat so it was only a bit more to pay to have it delivered directly to me rather than to a relative in the uk who will bring it over with them (with many other things!) when they visit soon

Thanks @26inprogress interesting that was launched at £99 which is the discounted price of the last kit!

NiceUnusualDifferent · 30/09/2026 17:21

Very disappointed in this kit I assumed it would be an automatic buy for me.

Caggie09 · 30/09/2026 17:29

I say it everytime, the kits just arent as good as they used to be. The Medik8 is good, but its in the SNK AC which i have anyway. Might get the cleansing balm off Vinted though. I used to get the kits for the skincare, i dont want soap fgs..
