As always when the Advent threads are running hot this thread is a little quieter but holiday releases, sets and edits are just around the corner. I'm super excited to be going to Sephoria London in October - I still can't believe I lucked out getting a ticket.

I'm home for the first time in 6 weeks and just picked up a few parcels from my neighbour that I ordered in a mix of birthday present aquisition / stress buying so I've just got the space nk gwp with the perfume add on from about 4 weeks ago - the Nette perfume is quite something! Sadly that something is not what I want to smell of 😂

Had a bit of a sort through the stash and have no idea where I will put the Boots skincare BAC contents as I open them!!

I’m aiming to use up the same amount of stuff between now and December as I have purchased in advent calendars. This could be quite a mission but I’m Starting with all the smaller samples/travel size as lots of the advent calendar things will be travel size. I’m actually quite enjoying using a wide variety of things rather than opening a big pot of something and it lasting forever. I’ve tried and finished 3 perfume samples in the last few days and actually quite liked them all so it’s quite fun too. I actually thought I didn’t like Kayali perfume but 2 of the samples I’ve tried were lovely.

I’m going to start the Sunday Riley Tidal I picked up on Vinted from the CB BAC. Has anyone else tried it yet? Reviews are a bit iffy (the smell is mentioned a lot!) but I unscrewed the cap and it didn’t smell awful to me.

@user593 I haven't tried the tidal one, but the blue vit A retinoid one has a bit of an unexpected scent that takes some getting used too!

The teeny tiny oil in this is hilarious. I'm slightly outraged they are calling 3ml of hair oil 'travel size'. One use fringe size maybe! 😂

Yes I've tried it and liked it, I didn't notice a smell. I used a whole trial size then bought a full size (both from Vinted) which I've put in one of my BAC drawers.

My only criticism was that it's not as good under makeup as the medik hydr8 intense - but I haven't found anything else that is, it just sinks in so well. I ended up using the hydr8 on makeup days, and either the tidal or medik8 peptides on non makeup days.

I have two of the Medik8 Hydr8 Intense in my stash box but I opted to try Tidal first (for reasons unbeknownst to me, I think maybe the reviews that it’s smelly worried me a bit!). I very rarely wear makeup though so I should be okay with Tidal 🤞 I just finished Medik8 Clarity Peptides this morning which I also like but I’ve gone through two now and want a change (still another one in the stash box though!) 😅

I’m so annoyed with myself. Went to but my new Sephora teal eyeliner on today and it’s brown! I picked the one up behind the tester, the writing is so small I can’t read the writing but it had a blue band round it which I thought reflected the colour, but it’s just because it’s waterproof.

So spent £13 on the wrong thing and now if I order it online I either have to pay postage or find something to take my order to above £20. I just spent about £300 in there at the weekend. Am worried I might buy an hourglass palette to save £4 postage 😂😂😂

All the low offers on vinted are really putting me off listing things. It seems worse now.?

I know what you mean, some of the offers are just ridiculous, I’m not even bothering declining if they’re that low! I only tend to sell higher end stuff and I’ve been selling some really good things off cheaply to get rid but there comes a point where I’d much rather give to charity/ friends

I agree with this but I’m also finding sellers are also being so unrealistic! So many times I’ve found things on there listed only a few £ off rrp so with postage you can just buy it from the store itself. What’s the point? I’m noticing less bargains than before. But maybe because I’m on there more as a buyer than a seller currently

Thanks @MrsBnow12. This does look good. A couple of things in there I’ve been wanting to try. LF have also launched a new skincare edit today. It contains a sample of the new AB overnight. Discount code extra takes a few quid off. SNK wins for me though.

Tried SR Tidal this morning and really liked it. I can’t detect the smell mentioned in a lot of the reviews. Easy stash box win this morning as DP came to me with three of his empties asking me to reorder and it’s all stuff I had stashed away (all from sets from the Fairy, I think!) 🙌 I must not now use it as an excuse to fill up the box again 😅
