As always when the Advent threads are running hot this thread is a little quieter but holiday releases, sets and edits are just around the corner. I'm super excited to be going to Sephoria London in October - I still can't believe I lucked out getting a ticket.

Speaking of unexpected items. I had a damaged eyeshadow stick in my Harrods BAC so I reported it. They offered to try to locate a replacement or give me a £15 refund. I chose the refund which I received a couple of days ago. Then today a replacement turned up!

I’m also LOVING the eyeshadow/blush holiday palette! It’s a bit spendy without a free gift but oh my! I might ask DS to get me this for Christmas.
Shamefully, I’ve still not even opened my packages from the ‘lucky’ limited edition collection. I put them to one side until I had time to properly enjoy opening and testing them, and then kept forgetting. I think I need to at least check all is present and correct (though too late if it isn’t 🙈)

They had the beauty sets at Selfridges in Birmingham today.

I converted points to credit at LF and then promptly got distracted and forgot about it. What should I buy? I only have a fiver in credit but they’ve got various offers on. The credit will expire soon. Unusually for me, I can’t find anything I want. It’s a bit like finding myself suddenly not bothered about chocolate.

I have the same problem. I canceled my BAC order and got the £5 credit back but now need to use it in the next 8 days. Problem is LF is min £30 spend for free postage I think so part of me feels the sensible thing is to let it go if there's nothing I really want.

I decided to order a hair mask from Coco & Eve, but then had the same postage quandary, so I added the Ouai travel kit. Also wondered if, seeing as there’s BDCB for Cult Beauty, a BDLF code would work, and sure enough it does! So that took a few pounds off and then the credit too. That’ll do.

I nearly got an Elemis set with that bright pink moisturiser in but I’m sure it was really heavily fragranced when I tried it last winter.

It is very fragranced so good swerve there. Actually thinking about my empties I've just posted about I've run out of my fave Ouai wave spray. I wasn't going to reorder just yet as I'm using up something else but I could get that and chuck in a mini Elemis cleansing balm or something.

I tried this as my daughter had the code and said it was valid till 2pm. Tried to apply it to hourglass foundation and it didn’t do anything. Not sure if some stuff isn’t allowed 20% off.

anyway I got an Ilia lip liner, a Sephora one, sephora eyeshadow, brush cleanser, tried a new marc jacobs eyeliner but liked a Sephora one better. Got one of the Rhode blush sticks.

Got shade matched for haus lab foundation but didn’t buy as I have loads of foundations which I need to use up.

I’ve never had a sample in an SNK shop either, (except once in the Tunbridge Wells branch, when the lovely assistant gave me a couple of AB sachets!)

LF is often the cheapest place for kerastase genesis in case you use that @OvaHere I've started buying the shampoo refills which work out quite cost effective

Oh gosh, I never have trouble finding something to buy from LF, I get lured into their constant discounts 😅
I have restocked on Colour Wow shampoo & conditioner (3 of each) and got 2 CW freebies with my order. Then I was sorting through some boxes and found 4 of each in one of them from my last order 😅

I haven’t used my points though as I still want their BAC, but wanting a bit of a discount on it. I also want the new Morphe palette but knowing others on here got it for £10 less last week I’m holding off

My SNK order arrived today and I got all 3 samples that I was expecting.
I am delighted with the little travel bag minis that I bought to keep my lipsticks, etc tidy in my handbags, they are a great colour match and fit perfectly in my bags 😃 I felt like a kid at Christmas 😅

Boots are doing 25% off kerastase today if you buy two products. I bought a couple of the serums. They also added 2 gifts ( a 30ml kerastase shampoo and 30ml L’Oréal professional one) plus £7 in advantage card points. I think the points had a min spend though? Should also work on the Genesis range.

I’m surprised by how much I’m enjoying the mini Ilia eye pencil that I got as a freebie with my sharpener a few weeks ago. My usual approach to eyeshadow is to use 2-4 shades for a full look or wear nothing at all, but this has a lovely barely-there-but-still-bringing-something-to-the-party effect that works really well for low effort days. And it’s still in place 6 hours later, which is way better than others I’ve tried in the past.

Must resist the urge to buy more.

The set is a great price but given how often they have offers I’d be tempted to wait for a discount. I’m terrible, I’m very tempted by the Lip Sketch set despite having 3/4 products already 😅 I must resist!
