Welcome back everyone to the new thread and hello to any newbies - join us now in time for the autumnal fun. 🍂💄🌂

As always when the Advent threads are running hot this thread is a little quieter but holiday releases, sets and edits are just around the corner. I'm super excited to be going to Sephoria London in October - I still can't believe I lucked out getting a ticket.

Some exciting homegrown news -after a few technical hiccups the FB group is now searchable (but private) MN Beauty Chat Swap/Trade/Sell.* *For those interested in the group we have a few joining rules you will be asked to abide by. Thank you @MrsBnow12 @CinderellaParker for your help.

Has anyone tried these and can compare them? I’m trying to work out what to open next as a night cream. I have (newly) dry skin, early 40s, will be layering over retinol. I’ve used the Laniege before (and rate it).

• Laniege Cica Sleep Mask
• MZ Skin The Rich Cream
• Tatcha Indigo Overnight Repair Moisturiser

I’ve just opened the Tatcha Brightening Eye Cream to use in the day, which will be the first time I’ve tried a Tatcha product! I use the Medik8 Retinol 6 Eye Cream at night.

The ‘fairy’ has sent out a message to say they have the latest Cult Beauty gwp for £13 - am tempted as have heard good things about the Allies

I’m new to this thread - what’s the ‘fairy’??

I’ve not used the Laneige but love the Tatcha indigo and had a small MZ the rich cream which I also liked. My skin is dry and prone to barrier issues but likes both of these. If I was choosing one I’d probably veer towards Tatcha and save the rich cream for winter.

Thank you! I have a couple of jars of the MZ The Rich Cream (thank you TK Maxx!), would you say it’s heavier than the Tatcha then?

The Laneige and Tatcha I have used as overnight masks. So I use them an hour or two after my evening moisturiser for extra hydration. I like both.

Can't remember if I've used the MZ one but I probably would just use that as a moisturiser rather than overnight mask.

Yes agree on the MZ skin, that’s a better way of putting it! For me the MZ skin ( which actually I have a large one of from TK Maxx, thanks for reminding me!) is something I’m going to use in the day as a moisturiser largely vs overnight . The tatcha is lovely over retinol and helps the skin barrier. I wouldn’t say it’s heavier necessarily just different.

I haven't tried the laneige but I'm currently alternating between mz rich, tatcha indigo and LRP cicaplast baume. All very rich, all different, I love all of them. I tend to use LRP after retinol, tatcha if I feel my skin barrier needs repair, mz rich at other times. They all layer well over retinol though.

I'd say MZ is thicker than Tatcha, but they have very different textures.

namechange0998776554799000 · 22/09/2026 22:47

Oh and I just saw you got your MZ from TK Maxx. I did too - don't be put off if yours seems a bit dried out & oddly thick. Mine did, but I used a whole jar with no problems and loved it enough to buy a full size new from SNK. The new jar was a much nicer texture but I think the TK Maxx one was fine, just presumably a bit older/not stored as well.

I’m using the same medik8 no6 and I use either Tatcha indigo overnight repair or Laneige water sleeping mask over it. Although, as @OvaHere said, these two overnight masks could be used as an additional layer over another moisturiser for extra hydration.

I love the Tatcha brightening eye cream as well. I’ve RP this and the indigo overnight repair a couple of times

Thelifeofawife · 22/09/2026 22:59

I’ve also got a stash of MZ skin moisturiser courtesy of TK Maxx. We are such sheep 🐏 🤣

Another one who doesn’t have an email from Harrods….would definitely buy the BAC with that offer!

I'm a peasant who spends very little with them, that's possibly why I got it.
