I finally have the despatch note for my Liberty…

Just saw first mention of Brown Thomas- it’s expensive this year at €395, advertised worth $1800. No spoilers yet but this puts it in the Vogue price bracket, so I’m expecting something spectacular.

DS and I had a lovely trip to Chester recently. But more focused on walls and zoo than H Beauty - disappointingly. I did see H Beauty, but he wasn't having any of it!

Disappointing if CB are including REN - I must have bought from the closing down sale a year or so ago, at least, which then makes me doubt how fresh the rest of the contents are, as realistically it'll take me a few months to get to all of them. But let's see, do we actually know when to expect the full release!?

Brown Thomas was v popular last year, so maybe it will be a dream calendar for most of us?! No pk, no eyelash curlers and certainly no dodgy makeup shades!

Rituals isn't launching for 16 days- I really want to see it!!

My brain interpreted Badvent as Bad Advent, as in ‘aren’t I naughty for buying more than one advent calendar’, not sure what my subconscious mind is telling me there!

Not a bad one, but those fragrances happened to be in a lot of boxes last year already. And I dont like or care for most of them.

Maybe if it goes on sale.

There's no nail polish listed, but that would be a nice nude colour (instead of the usual gold / silver or red) but I think that product might be the bare minerals blonzer.

Hmmm. Undecided, but will probably end up getting it in the end. I think one of the discover fragrances looks like the coconut one, which is actually one I like. Not sure about the other one.

For me, I don't like it when a FAC is literally all minis as it feels like samples. At least for me, with LF I'm getting a 30ml Jo Malone fragrance that I know and love. Worth paying a bit more.

The Selfridges FAC is amazing as there's a lot of bigger - proper sizes! - but potentially the price might be 3 times as much as JL.

Oh no @Doglover73, sorry my what have I missed comment must have seemed very flippant. I had scrolled through a bit but obviously not far enough. I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my mum last year (amongst several other losses) and found these threads very comforting. She had bought me my first BAC so I took that as a green light to treat myself to one last year and somehow ended up with three!

Im very mid on LF frag now the rest of the contents have been posted. With the price increase I expected more from it. There are definately some fillers I could have done without. Im not to keen on the fullsize ones.

I will have to see on the day itself if FOMO gets to me.

The M&S would be nice for around 45 pounds. It feels like a GWP box

@SavageGarden23 I'm another one who will pass on the JL fragrance even though I think it's a great selection of perfumes at a good price. I currently have 5 of them and have had some of the others in the past.

This is all in the last 3/4 years my perfume collection (mainly travel size) has grown exponentially buying most fragrance advents, kits, edits, crackers, stockings...you name it! And any beauty kit/edit I didn't fancy, I have picked up the perfume from it on ebay/vinted.

That might not have put me off JL if Selfridges hadn't shaken up the FAC market for 2026 with their offering though. I really (really, really!) want the Selfridges FAC so that rules out spending on JL, LF and Boots FACs for me. I'm still very keen to see what's in HN and SNK FACs but they were discounted last year so I won't rush in.

I need to do a list like I did last year of individual items I want from all the different calendars (fragrance and beauty) as there are bargains to be had on ebay/vinted when the advents despatch!

I nearly bought the vitamin c serum and the eye cream from Liberty calendar last night as someone was selling lots of bits from it on Vinted. I stopped myself though as I was getting swept away by the bargain prices when I have 3 eye creams and another vitamin C serum coming in the Harrods calendar so do not need them! 😐

Think I am safe from the other BACs that have been revealed so far, other than Elle if it gets reduced, but still v interested in the Selfridges FAC. I think I will only go for that if it is under £300 though as have already spent out on the Harrods FAC

The bare minerals bronzer is next to it in the brown squeezy tube. The pink product looks like a nail polish, but I could be wrong!

I’ll be surprised is we manage to escape nail polish entirely from the M&S calendar!

Yay I love a new thread. I’m up to £96 selling my unwanted bits from Liberty BD and last year’s AC. Such a good idea. Thanks for the encouragement here.

Added to the pot to deduct from the £270 I spent on Harrods AC, which is a steal at the £174 it’s actually cost me 😂

I'm not impressed with this year's M&S for £75. It used to be such a bargain. I ended up buying last year's for £45 with no minimum spend, so I wonder if they will manage to sell them all at that price this year. Last year's had lots of useful products in it for me - I saw it as a good value beauty box for £45 & I sold the items I didn't want (Floral Street is always a DOD for me)
My favourite this year is Space NK. I would use nearly everything from Vogue and Fortnum & Mason, but Space NK has more fun items for me. I would have liked a different Lisa Eldridge product & a proper lipstick in a good colour. - I'm still trying to flog last year's Hourglass in the awful Sahara shade.

@pinkchampagne1 I wish I had your self control, I saw someone selling the votary luminous liquid stuff for £7.50, the ubeauty resurfacing compound for £7.50 and then chucked in a James read product for £1.50 for 10% off. I've never liked any votary products yet, I already have 4 resurfacing compounds and I'm not even sure what the James read product is 🤣 but I can't resist a bargain. I might sell one of my resurfacing compounds and put one in my sister's bac that I'm making her 🥰

The REN stuff in CB has put me off the whole calendar. Just why? I’ve gone from wanting them all to now thinking I might stick with Harrods and Liberty and not bother with the others unless they reduce in price. However, I know in launch I will lose all rational thought and order them all.

Totally see that @Beautyfox - I can’t even believe there are still REN stocks out there at TK maxx after all this time, let alone in “full price” retailers.

My Liberty calendar arrived this morning, no gold ticket sadly but I did get the Trinny product in Joy which looks very wearable, and the Jones Road in Au Naturale which looks like a safe bet. Unfortunately the Reome broth had leaked so I'm not leaving that in there till December. I've raised it with them so I'll see what they say.

I’m sure I read someone else had issues with the reome broth leaking. Just mentioning incase other people who have ordered the calendar want to check that drawer.

Hope they sort it for you. The broth is one of their higher value items so hopefully they can replace it rather than a small refund.

@ElizabethG81 Where did you see the REN spoiler for CB? I can't find anything about that online and it would really really surprise me if that was accurate. CB no longer sell REN at all, and they tend to pride themselves on including new and viral products.

Has anyone in this group ever won a golden ticket? It seems it would be in a random drawer and I dont want to remind myself what's in them so I will patiently wait...as unlikely as it is a 1000 liberty spending spree would be fabulous!

I got at least 11 advents last year after joining these threads. 🤣🤩 but I loved it and it was a huge comfort and escape for me at a difficult time. And you people are all amazing and kind.
Tbh ive always spent a lot on beauty but I did have fomo but I wouldnt change a thing. 🤩
Not bought any this year as yet. All very dull imo.
Plus I have loads of stuff so lots of repeats for me.
