Yes Harrods Beauty.

I saw it and if I were a cartoon character my eyes would have popped out of my head. None of the 5 female relatives I was with had any interest but that's why I love having kindred spirits here 😊.

I think it will be very popular at that price when it releases. I've tried/own a good amount of them which is why it doesn't appeal that much to me. For someone newer to niche fragrance it's a great buy.

Just watched the video on instagram for the LF FAC. It looks good but I haven’t used the perfumes from last year up yet. But I’m still tempted.

I saw another spoiler for CB - REN evercalm balm. Which is really strange because I thought they went out of business.

@SavageGarden23 I already own 6 of the fragrances from the JL fragrance calendar otherwise it would be on my list. I've told my mum and sister about it and told them to get it.

Oh that's not exciting. It's all been in home bargains and tkmaxx recently.

re fragrance AC I think it depends on where you are at and your preference . I loved last years LF fragrance and when I saw JL I was also pleased . But having bought a fair few fragrance edits over the year I am now looking at the more niche ones . Only because I was introduced to them via you lovely lot . I’ve coveted Brompton and just could not pay the money until I had a sample 🤣 . But jLewis is great as was LF for me last year . The Boots is good for designer and ask me two years ago I would have chopped your arm off . And possibly I may go back next year if I get perfume fatigue as I seem to have with mist advents this year . But it’s still August and I’m still in summer mode . So in 12 weeks I will be looking forward to opening my advent / plural 🤣 and lighting my candles . I love that we all are into diffent things . And I always listen and learn x

Just saw Brown Thomas’s price on Beauty Detective. €395, but worth €1,800.
I can’t wait to find out what’s in it, to justify that price. Maybe it’s one full sized high end luxury item?

I’m pretty certain it was €325 or so last year.

I keep going back to selfridges, it’s so make up heavy which isn’t like me at all but it just seems more fun than some of the others! Also like the look of JL FAC and would have bought it if I hadn’t purchased Harrods FAC (tbh I still might). Went on a perfume hunt in Sephora today but only managed to test the phlur line up before my nose gave up. As suspected I can’t smell any of them after half an hour except for vanilla skin which dries down nicely but just a bit too sweet for me I think

I asked AI if I would prefer Selfridges or Liberty, it suggested Liberty as I am looking for anti aging and hydration. Liberty focuses heavily on sophisticated, full-sized active ingredients designed to plump the skin and turn back the clock.
Liberty is back in top spot for me. I do have a £20 Selfridges voucher but I can put that towards the fragrance calendar at the end of September.

I just looked it up and Unilever shut REN down sometime in the summer of 2025, so any REN product will be at least 18 months old by this December. Likely older because they were probably running down existing stock rather than manufacturing new by that point.

A defunct brand is a big no no. That's what Tkmaxx and Home Bargains is for not a luxe advent calendar.

@OvaHere I was the same regarding Lola at coat check - I’ve had it in my stash for ages and planned to sell it but never got around to it. I decided to test it a few days ago and I was pleasantly surprised by it, I quite like it.

@TreesinthePark I had an email about H Beauty opening in Chester, I think it was on Valentine’s Day. I was so tempted to go but had too much on.
I’ve been wanting to go back to Chester for a while so it’s great that there will be an added bonus to the trip 😃

I wonder how well it will sell. I can imagine a lot of people being put off by the price hike. Mind you, there’s not a lot of choice for anyone wanting to spend under £150 on a beauty calendar.
