I hope I’ve captured everything 🩷

Selfridges isn’t for me as it is very make up heavy (I don’t get through make up very quickly) and the only skin care is a tiny BS serum, the rich cream and a very expensive bee venom serum that I would be too scared to use as I don’t react well to bee stings. It does have a good selection of make up if that is what you are looking for and it also has 2 full sized perfumes.

I’ve lost track. Which advents are we expecting to release tomorrow?
CB, Selfridges, SNK and maybe Harrods FAC?
Have I missed any? Is Sephora tomorrow too?

Selfridges is growing on me. It really is only that almost £200 of the value goes on the bee venom which I won’t use which puts me off.

In the past have CB reduced the advent? I always get annoyed buying stuff from there when a week later they have 20% off.

Selfridges appeals to me because I like both the full size perfumes, but there’s too much make up I wouldn’t use. I should probably just buy the perfumes separately.

It also annoys me that the Ordinary glycolic is in there. If you’re going to put the Ordinary in a high end calendar, at least make it one of their more expensive serums, not the most bog standard product in their range!

@Nomorechocs The Cult Beauty Signature version has 15ml The Rich Cream also.

Help a girl out! It’s between Harrods, Bac, Space NK and Sephora.
I think Harrods is winning for me, as I don’t use that much makeup, and the shower gel would be a waste because I’m a Rituals shower gel girl 😂
But I’m also getting serious FOMO from Sephora because that’s what I’ve had for the last few years! 😩
Why is it so hard?! 😂

I really really like about half of what is in Selfridges, but loathe the rest, so that’s a no from me. (I’m sure they’ll survive 😹)

Oddly, given my absolute loathing of almost all Discoteque’s stuff, the ridiculously named Lola at… smells nice on me. I will keep an eye out for it on Vinted/eBay but wouldn’t pay much for it. (I mean, it’s okaaay, but I am not mad about it!)

If I was buying any a/cs atm, it would be Harrods - yes, there are some DODs, but overall it’s pretty good. I don’t much care if it sells out, but I am pondering it.

Oh yes I’d forgotten that! It also has the Medik8. Now I don’t know which one I prefer! I’d ruled out Selfridges originally but gone back to it in the last couple of days.

@ClutteredPalace - Liberty CS must genuinely believe we are all stupid. (Admittedly, with some justification in my case seeing as I am STILL in BD 🙈)

It’s the failure to ‘fess up that’s bothering me most. I can’t stand it when companies lie to customers and it’s especially stupid in the face of overwhelming evidence, (allegedly…)

I plumped for Harrods. Not interested in make up although I do like the Harrods lippy. I told the bot (I call mine Jeremy) what I was using as well as it said Harrods was best for lux skincare that wouldn’t conflict with my tret. And I’m already using and liking the Medik8.

I’d like a second for Jadvent but I’m currently deciding what to wear for son’s wedding and I have expensive tastes! Maybe when they get reduced…?

Hi @Flightyflora - the Liberty GWP doesn’t stack with the advent calendar, unfortunately.

I was thinking instead, I have a few things I need that would take me up to the £275, including presents . Decisions

I have wondered the same @Flightyflora but there’s nothing I really want atm - or not at the qualifying amount anyway!

I have gone for Harrods BAC, ordered blind and the hair and body, having to pay £12 delivery so made sense to add something else to the order. I just wish the box was a bit more interesting.

Re: Harrods calendars and 1/9 instore sales

I have just rung H beauty CS and been told that staff haven’t been notified of any in-store BAC/FAC/H&BodyAC sales starting tomorrow, 1/9.

However, the lovely person on the end of the phone agreed with me that this doesn’t rule out the possibility of Harrods announcing that in-store sales will start on 1/9 at any point between NOW and tomorrow morning 🙀

She also said that staff were aware that a lot of people online think the in-store sales are definitely happening tomorrow.

I will feel really sorry for Harrods staff if loads of people turn up tomorrow on spec but the in-store sales of the FAC don’t start.

It’s a bizarre way to run a business 🤷‍♀️

I was thinking Sephora and Harrods, just looked at space NK again, and I think 12 products I would definitely not use, and I’m too lazy to re sale them. 🤣
I mean it is Christmas after all, having two calendars would make it just that little bit more special 🤭

I've got £240 in Liberty BD credit so I'll probably get the Liberty BAC. Unless I just buy stuff I want and get the GWP. Thoughts on that much appreciated as I change my mind every five minutes.

Maybe I'll also get the JL FAC, as that's a bargain at £99. I like Selfridges, but not wildly excited by any this year tbh.

I've ordered the Harrods BAC and wanted the SpaceNK but have recently fallen in love with Lola at Coat Check and there's a full size bottle in the Selfridges BAC.

Do I buy the Selfridges for that or buy the SpaceNK and try and get Lola on Vinted or eBay?

I think it’s Sephora, SNK or CB for me this year so incredibly predictable. I can’t justify getting 2!
