I don't think I'll be going for the Selfridges FAC.
I got an email to say LF is launching tomorrow, and I would quite like it, but I think I will hold off for now, just in case something else ends up taking my fancy😫I feel like it's a lot of back and forth this year. I suppose I can sleep on it.🤭

@IlovePond I did end up messaging them to let them know their explanation wasn't reassuring and why it wasn't. I got more apologies back and they said they'd pass it on to the relevant team. I can't understand the point of putting a price sticker on in the first place but I give up now, it'll have to remain a mystery 😅

I have bought Harrods, F&M and Glossybox. I think that’s me done now unless I see something that I really can’t resist. 🤪

I love your thoughts about each product 😂 I hadn't realised quite how much make up was in this until I saw you list it all out like this so thanks. I have realised that I'm drawn to calendars that are make up and fragrance heavy this year. I like skin care but I still don't always know what I'm doing with it and I threw out all my make up at the start of the year so it needs replacing. I still haven't ordered Harrods, I really need to get on with that, I don't know what's stopping me. Selfridges has been my number one since I saw the contents, I'm just happy there are no eyelash curlers involved.

I had a read of the FAQ’s and it says in store on the 8th so expect online will be the 7th or 8th

Did anyone else receive an email like this from Liberty? No mention of sending a replacement.

i had the exact same email. Very poor response. For me, the bottle leaked and the inside of the drawer was sticky. So disappointed as this is the first year I have bought a premium beauty advent calendar and I was so excited.

I went for the Harrods beauty advent calendar. I’m thinking Sephora maybe for a second. I wish the Vogue jewellery wasn’t silver, because that one would be great but I won’t use the expensive socks or necklace/bracelet.

I’ve made £126 selling perfumes on eBay/Vinted 👏 Majorly pissed off though that the eBay system changed one of my shipping labels to 1kg item and I stupidly didn’t notice and ended up spending £2.40 of my own money on postage!! Yes, I’ve spent 40 mins arguing with their ridiculous customer service who won’t give me a refund!! DH thinks I’m bonkers but it’s the principle. Anyway I hate eBay now and won’t use it anymore!!

I am trying to avoid any further BAC purchases by making a considered sale order from Cult Beauty... Not sure if I'll succeed, but it felt worthwhile.

I've gone for the Harrods BAC and FAC so far. I definitely want to buy the Selfridges FAC, I think I'm going to also get the Cult Beauty one this week.

After much dithering, procrastinating and changing my mind I think I’m going to go for Harrods BAC, it has good size products and it’s skin care I’m most interested in, it’s also got the AB eye cream I got in last years Liberty and loved. I actually need some new eyelash curlers too! I was going for Cult but I’ve not been keen on the Paula’s Choice products I’ve used, I love my Medik8 retinal. Ova here raised a good point too re whether any of the products could cause flare up to my perioral dermatitis, and I’m not keen on the make up or hair stuff, so I think my mind is made up. I just need to figure out whether to buy in the next couple of days or wait. Thanks for all the advice and chat, this is my 2nd year on these threads and I really enjoy and appreciate people’s views and advice.

I think if you've decided that's the one you like, then go for it ☺️ or you risk it selling out. Maybe do a spreadsheet tomorrow comparing the Harrods and CB and then you can be certain you're making the right choice.

The 30 pound price hike made me decide against buying the LF Frag. There is just too much filer for me. Id rather buy one bottle I absolutely love

Yes, they are. I was initially intending to get the Fenwick AC but when I saw the many small sizes I decided against it.

I was so looking forward to the LF FAC this year having missed out on last year’s, but this one isn’t appealing to me at all.

I already have the JM Pomegranate Noir AND the Aldi dupe, (genuinely can’t tell the difference between them 🤷‍♀️), and certainly don’t need any more of it.

Plus, any a/c that includes a celebrity fragrance like the Billie Eilish one goes straight into my ‘what the heck were you thinking?’ pile, along with ‘just no!’ I also hate the name of the CH perfume and avoid it on general principle!

GB - so far - is the best of the reasonably priced a/cs imo. I would use most things in there, but can’t get very excited about much of it, (if that makes sense!)

Harrods is still a front runner for me, but I wish PureSeoul would get a move on and just say what was in theirs, ditto SK. I am not counting YESSTYLE in my wishlist as there is virtually no chance of getting one and I think Sylvan Glow will probably be priced at more than I would be willing to pay for a Kbeauty calendar.

I went to Selfridges today to do some fragrance testing. I am loving the FDB patchouli! My yay or nay list:

Initio lift me up - okay

I tried Thameen florentine diamond as well, recommended by the sales assistant, it smells really nice.

Ultimately, I know I’ll just buy whatever FACs I can get my hands on, and sell anything I don’t want 😅

Oh lord I need to stop looking on TikTok . I stopped Insta a year ago and frankly I’m too old for this malarkey! I am actually getting a neck ache 😂 so a ton of the tockers are saying September is just beauty realise for Selfridges and October for fragrance . But I am becoming very Mafia regarding trust issues so I will still be checking every day into an official official date is released . I am hoping that tomorrow they just put us all out of the misery and give details .
