I’m really keen to see the contents of Brown Thomas this year. I think I’ve discounted Jo Malone (although the box and packaging this year is 🔥) unless I get a decent duty free discount on my way to buy BT 😊😂.

I think I've resigned myself to probably not getting a Selfridges FAC whether that's due to price, the timing of the launch or the propensity of the queue and website to crash.

I got Harrods FAC and Sephoria tickets so my luck has to run out sometime. 😂

I’ve just seen on TikTok that Sephora’s will be available next week. I still can’t decide if I want it or snk!

Are there any influencer unboxings yet? I like the idea of some of Sephora but there's a lot of lip stuff iirc.

I doubt I'll be able to get one either, I only have my phone and it's not the most reliable. My only real hope was it either being priced high enough to put some people off, or managing to get it before everyone knew it had been released. Neither of those things look likely.

I am also very unlikely to be able to secure the SFAC due to work. I was very much hoping for a holiday release as this is always my saving grace with Harrods. But once term starts, no chance, especially with the new phone ban being applied to staff too.
Perhaps it will be an early morning, evening or weekend release 🤞.

I also work term time and feel the same. Works well for the release of the Harrods FAC but I imagine the Selfridges will be released mid week, late morning while I am at work with no access to my phone. 😏

I can’t find the release of Sephora’s contents 🤷🏻‍♀️ definitely going with SNK, as long as I can get my hands on it. Then between CB and Sephora for #2 and might get the kids look fantastic and boots luxe at the lower price point.

Wow! You’ve all been so busy! I came back from a 2 week holiday and it’s taken me 3 days to catch up!
So sorry that there are so many having difficult times at the moment. This thread is truly the nicest place on mumsnet, and it’s lovely that it can offer a little escape ❤️

Having been convinced about Liberty, I’ve changed my mind and just ordered Elle! Thanks for the heads up about the early ordering. I’m also very tempted by Oh My Cream, but have also just ordered Cult Pens, so need to wait until next month!!

I have ordered Harrods and Liberty and Glossy Box. I am not very sure about Elle and wonder if they will reduce prices as they usually have done before.. Interested in the Hannah Martin box as well. It is well priced but not sure if i will use most of the products and I won't get much if i sell them on vinted.

Harrods here too. Unrivalled, imo, for the high end skincare.

I went into Selfridges Bullring today and asked the fragrance concierge about the FAC. She confirmed the date is 1st October and the price will be £250. She looked aghast when I asked about the £300+ rumour.

Does anyone have a clue what time the FAC will be on sale... do they usually do early in the morning? Like 9amish? I'd love everyone who wants one on here to get one!

i hope the selfridges stays at the same price as harrods or it means the Harrods one is also going to be pricier next year. Lookfantastic have raised prices by £30 and its not even as good as last year.

Liberty have finally got back to me about the £5 price sticker on my Reome. They've tried to reassure me that it was linked to a previous promotion and relates specifically to that promotion. Im not sure how they come to that conclusion as the sticker also has the door number of the advent calendar and the words 'advent calendar' printed on it. Im bored of arguing with them now as I'm getting nowhere but it's made me doubt whether I'll buy next year's advent calendar.

I’ve gone for Harrods, ordered on the day of release.
I am still deciding what else to go for. I made a start on my spreadsheets and was quite surprised at the results so far, I was convinced that I knew which were most likely my best fit/s but once it was all noted down with how many items were definite keeps and the values, it’s actually JL coming out on top (and that’s with me putting a reduced price on the Foreo because I can get one on sale).

Me too! I missed it last year and was raging but I wish they would hurry up as I’m now not sure what second high end one I want. Whether I want to aim for CB or SNK or to wait for more info on BT. I’m not fully enamoured by CB or SNK so I’m hoping for some BT spoilers soon ☘️

It's tricky. On a practical level I'd use a fair bit of SNK but it doesn't wow me at that price. I know I wouldn't use quite a bit of Sephora but that MBM palette is calling to me. Cult Beauty is the midpoint between the two.

I want to really like Harrods as I did enjoy it last year and I keep wondering if I'll regret not getting it. I definitely like some of it but quite a bit of the good stuff I own already.

Plenty of Medik8 Vit C thanks to Vinted, one AB eye cream still to use from last year, have a mini of the HG blush, have Bioeffect from Jan sales, plenty of La Prairie Cleanser because only me seems to like it (thanks Mnetters who sent me some. 😂). The Shiseido Future Solutions I'm wary of because I just finished the cream from last year's Harrods and that line is very fragranced

I was decided on SNK but I just had a look at selfridges BAC and tempted to get a second 😳 but I am worried too extravagant. SNK is better for skincare but Selfridges has some generous perfumes and some of the make up looks exciting.

I haven’t heard much talk about Selfridges’ BAC, what do people think?
