This is wholly unacceptable from a company like Liberty. I also think that putting high value liquid items in AC's without testing their robustness is a bad move.

I’ve just had a response from liberty regarding my awful replacement. It has been escalated to a senior member of the team to review.
I also rang customer services earlier and the lady said that they are in the process of recalling the Reome active recovery broth as it’s faulty, but she couldn’t give me anymore details.

@IlovePond What was the lipstick product last year?

They probably are trying to find the best route to fix the situation and appease customers at the same time and also limit the financial damage to themselves sorting it all. They’ll be kicking themselves. I bet they don’t put Reome in their calendars next year. Hope everyone on here that’s been impacted is suitably rectified and compensated.

Those of us affected went down an absolute rabbit hole of madness trying to get to the bottom of it. There seemed to be two versions knocking around - an older formula and newer one - as far as we could tell. One version came out pale pink on the lips and no one reacted to it. The other version came out deep purple and caused stinging, etc. Both looked identical in the tube and Liberty swore up and down and sideways that there weren’t two versions, even though a quick search of reviews showed that there were - probably -two versions 🙈

Anyway, after I persisted, Liberty resolved the matter to my satisfaction, but other people weren’t as lucky 😿

This is probably going to sell out very quickly.

Damn, I've ordered the Reome broth on Vinted. Hopefully the seller will have tightened the cap and it won't be only half full and leaking.

Yes i had the problems with my lipstick, and the mascara, Liberty customer service was shocking, they didn't help at all. I then cancelled my beauty drop, and I've not shopped with them since. Luckily the products I purchased from them (Killian for one) can be purchased elsewhere. There was no way i was even contemplating getting this years calendar

Hoping Liberty CS resolve the issue this year! Not ordering the 2026 AC but I’ve still got the BD account.

I only for the Cult Beauty reveal email at 7pm today! And I come here to see what you think and here’s you guys knowing since 10am yesterday! I’d prefer the SdJ body lotion to the SdJ mist, but other than I am one hundo per cent getting the special edition. I didn’t really want to get an AC, but I love last year’s one and there is a lot that appeals to me in this year’s. I won’t be making the same mistake again! I have scanned the contents of the other big calendars but the CB is the only one that excites me. I will definitely join these threads in January for the discounts. Hoping for a Barbara Sturm and Elemis big discounts again.

Thanks everyone for all your well wishes and messages, I really appreciate it 🩷 My dad's surgery went well and he's now in recovery 🥰

We're going to go to London tomorrow. The hotel is booked and paid for and we also booked a show for tomorrow night. I think after this week, it'll be good for me to go. I can't see my dad until next week anyway, the hospital won't allow it. My sister will keep me updated.

I now need to write down the list of perfumes to sample whilst I'm there. I already have the Harrods FAC so I think I'll focus on the selfridge's FAC fragrances so I don't end up going nose blind and I can make a decision if it's worth buying. I'll report my findings...
