Would you consider laser treatment for larger freckles or try to embrace them?

If these freckles belonged to you, would they bother you? I've had freckles all of my life, and always hated them. Typical pale ginger freckle appreance. School wasn't an easy ride but I managed through. After a recent hot holiday aboard and no escape from the sun my freckles have gotten larger and darker. I'd like to get them lasered, but its not cheap, it flipping hurts and it will take a lot of time and care to scale them back. Just to note that i could afford it if I saved a little every month.

If you saw me out and about would you think "gosh what large freckles they are, very odd looking"? And if you had these freckles, would you laser them off?

I'm not sure if im tried of being ashamed of them and want to embrace them or just want them gone and have less freckly arms.

Kind advice is greatly appreciated.

I’m from a freckle family so I’ve grown to like freckles; my mother used to say that they were kisses from the sun. So no, I wouldn’t have a laser procedure. They are uniquely you. Did you know that some cats have freckles, and they tend to be ginger? 😻 they’re all lovely.

I think I’d probably try and accept them. Would laser entirely remove them? It seems like a huge commitment.

I would clock them in passing but wouldn't think they were unusual at all if you are a pale ginger freckly gal. That's just your skin!

Would you really want to put yourself through the pain and expense of zapping them (and the ongoing care in the sun for years to come?) just for the sake of the freckles?

I have facial birthmarks that I've loved/loathed over the years but now I'm comfortable in my skin and to hell with what anyone else thinks

They are one of the things that make you you!
I’m sure there are much more fun and pain free things you could spend money on. Holidays, theatre trips, books, restaurants, shoes - whatever floats your boat.

I don't think I would go for laser treatment because I, like you, have fair skin. We are both at risk for skin cancer and a freckle darkening or changing shape could be an early sign.

So I would embrace them.

They wouldnt bother me at all. Id sooner spend my money on getting my weight loss skin removed.

Oh i could certainly think of plenty of other fun things I would spend the money on. I just loathe the feeling that im being looked at or that I don't have the delicate sprinkling of freckles that I see so many other people with.

I also have kids with freckles and I adore it on them but not sure why I can't love mine.

Ive always refrained from wearing rings or getting my nails done as I feel it draws attention to them even more.

Your freckles are beautiful. Part of what makes us unique. DS is really freckly and I have many too. Embrace them and spend the money on rings and nails to show them off!
