What foundation are we all using?

Not child related but need some mum support,So I’m getting older And starting to notice old age pigmentation on my face brown marks. Just wondering, what foundation everyone’s using I would like something off the shelf because on a budget, Feel like I put make-up on in the morning and by the afternoon, it’s disappeared.

I have lots of pigmentation and in the summer like bare minerals original mineral foundation as it's lightweight, doesn't cake, makes me less shiny and has an SPF. It does need to be applied with a brush though so popped into Boots the other day and got recommended the Origins ginger skin tint which is a bit like the Eborian CC cream that it's colour adaptive but I think is nicer and can just be put on with fingers if wanted. It also contains an SPF and evens out my complexion without looking like I'm wearing any make-up using just a small amount.

Nothing in this weather. But usually Rimmel London 24 hour, sometimes mixed with moisturiser for lighter coverage.

Mac Studio fix it’s worth every penny cos you hardly need any Estée Lauder double wear is soo cakey and nars if you buy online the colours are well off you need to go to store. Yves saint Laurent primer again it’s pricey but you hardly need any and revolution setting spray . Primer and setting spray is a must . My makeup hardly moves even in 36 degree heat .

Laura Mercia oil free tinted moisturiser. Only a bit and the oil free formula seems to improve the oiliness on my face slightly too which is an absolute bonus in this weather.

Estee Lauder Double Wear, lasts all day, doesn't settle into fine lines and a really great range of shades

Eborian CC cream here too, plus lots of Korean skincare

No. 7 intelligent for everyday. No.7 stay perfect compact for going out out. I also love no.7 radiance concealer and a bit of blush for light days

Ditched all my powder based ones including bare minerals as they are settling in the fine lines.

Revolution foundations including their serum foundation/cream foundation are great and I usually react to everything.

I’m getting the same marks. I have just started using L’Oréal Magic BB Cream which is actually white but then blends to your skin colour. It is really really good and is lovely and light and evens out my skin tone. I just use a little concealer on a couple of small marks. I am really impressed with the BB cream though. Doesn’t clog my pores or look heavy. Highly recommend.

I still use rimmel block concealer before foundation, also only put foundation on lightly.

Erborian CC cream is good for my 50 year old skin.

Maybeline Eraser is brilliant for covering dark spots.i use the fair one and it really works! It’s also very reasonable

No7 hydraluminous foundation is cooler weather. Adds moisture to dry skin so looks lovely and slightly dewy not drying. Bare minerals complexion stick for the summer. Its a very light skin tint stick with buildable coverage. I keep mine in the fridge. Mostly focus on good skincare. A good hydrating serum mixed with a few drops of rosehip oil and squalane oil. Beauty of joseon aqua fresh spf is lovely under makeup

Elf halo glow with the matching illuminating loose powder. Like Charlotte Tilbury but much cheaper. Gives a light gorgeous healthy glow..can’t believe I was covering my face in thick MAC make up for years! I look soooo much better. It can slip a bit so fixing spray too. Also lighter with concealer now- only in nose half under eyes so nothing to sink into lines. honestly look 10 + years younger. The mantra less is more really is true..

I use revolution stick cream blusher -this definitely looks better at 64 than powder blush -

My skin changed so much after I had my daughter. Took about a year to find one I liked. I’ve actually found that if I start with a liquid blush and bronzer first. Add highlights, then foundation over the rest. It last longer on my skin.

I have Clarins Skin Illusion for ‘best’ but I’ve found the Max Factor Miracle Pure Skin Reset Serum foundation a less-than-half-price dupe! Both have a dropper as well @Thismumrunsonhugsandtea

No7 Beautifully Matte. I have worn it for years. When I was cabin crew I always got asked what I wore and also what lipstick I wore (Ruby Woo) i tried others but I always went back to no7 xx

Dior forever nude. I find it pretty versatile. A few little dots applied with fingers great to even colouration with a light coverage and applied a little more generously with brush/ sponge for a more made up look.

Tinted sunscreen (factor 50 minimum) plus powder in areas you want to focus on. Definitely focus on protecting your skin from more damage.

I use Eborian Cc dull correct which is light coverage with brightening. It's very natural and easy to apply with 30 SPF. Having read this post I'm also going to try the water gel.

No7 Stay Perfect. I occasionally stray and try some new ‘must have’ but I always come back to No7 - it never lets me down.
